I've had a couple of meals at the Turtle Jack's Winona location with regular favourites such as the Blackened Basa Taco with house salad, and the Burgers. This past week, I had a burger craving so opted for the Bacon and Cheddar burger. They were able to sub with Swiss Cheese, but I wish they offered a classic Swiss cheese and mushroom burger, or elevated it with aioli. These options were only available with the Bison burger. The regular burger was tasty and moist as usual, but I probably had 2 days' worth of calories in the one meal - my own fault. I was hungry. There was an abundance of fried onion straws - too much actually, so I removed quite a lot to my plate. Next time, I will stick with the classic burger. Service was fair - our server seemed to have the majority of tables in another section and out of view. We were her only table on the one side, so it was a bit difficult to get her attention. Atmosphere and decor was good. Over the years, I've been disappointed that Turtle Jack's in general has changed and reduced their classic menu choices. I used to love their Apple Brie Burger with special sauces, bruschetta with reduced balsamic vinaigrette, and brunch menu. I'm sure it was more labour-intensive so I get it, but it was the reason that this restaurant stood out from the rest in its early years. I will try their dusted chicken wings again in the future. I have seen other reviews where they changed their recipe, so I hope that they didn't alter a good product. read more

Came in for some wine on the patio. Ended up having nachos and guacamole with the Skor Brownie Obsession for dessert. Highly recommended if you are craving sweet and tantalizing! We were served by Abby and she was wonderful! All the staff here are efficient and keep moving to keep all patrons taken care of. read more

I've been going to TJ's for years, and particularly love their wings. And there's the rub. They're no longer the same. The classic dusted roasters with New York Butter sauce, the ones we all loved....well they're now junk. The new sauce tastes like fake popcorn butter in who knows what. They're no longer breaded either. $36 for 15 of the worst wings I've literally ever eaten. The sauce is disgusting and whoever ok'd this change with head office should be fired. Service was excellent. Too bad they have to sell this crap. Get your s&$t together TJ's. You can't mess with the wings. read more

We had reservations 4-30-2022 we were seated at around 6:05pm and had coctails and an appetizer. We recieved our dinners at around 7:10pm and at 7:20 we were told that we had to give up our table for the owners of the resturant. We were never told that this was going to happen before we were seated. We were then moved to another table with our drinks at 7:25, this was a totaly unaceptable incident due the horrible lack of management, our waiter knew nothing about this. After the horrendous experience at the Fox & Fiddle in Hamilton at the Limeridge mall the other day. My mom & I decided to try to stop somewhere else & thank lord we did. Everything about this place was just a breath of delicious food.The food, service & restruant was great. The portions are decent & you get what you pay for in size & flavour. For a place that just opened, the management & kitchen know what they're doing. Its a one way stop ro flavour town just off the highway. Our server Patrica should be teaching classes on how to be a server because she's can be the poster child for good service. As well as the manager Krista. My mom & I will defiantly make the trip back, because its well worth it. Will most defiantly be back. 10/10 would reccomened. read more

The service was good but the food was terrible. Waited an hour for our dinner to come and the restaurant was not even busy. Once our meal came it was horrible. The manager come over and apologized and did comp our dinner. The worst part was the cook from the kitchen was giving us dirty looks and pointing at us and laughing. We told our waitress and she could not believe he was doing that and when we told the manager she dismissed us by saying have a good night. So unprofessional and he should be fired. I will NEVER go back to that location again. read more

The service was good...waitress was sweet (Laura) The prices are a bit high considering the portions given. The amount of flies around our table were ridiculous!!! DISGUSTING!!! landing on the table and even in our drinks! we sat in the back corner and it felt like we were just being bombarded with flies...grosss. While on our way back from Niagara Falls today, my husband and I stopped for a late lunch/early dinner with our 3 year old granddaughter. A female manager got upset with a customer and began yelling and swearing at him in front of our granddaughter. Completely unacceptable for a manager. We have been to this restaurant a number of times, but we will never come back again. read more

Tasty food, good food temperature and quick delivery of our meals. Our hostess was friendly, as was our server. Our daughter was entertained with the paper cut-outs and the in-house baked cookie. (I think there is also a toy coming soon.). The only drawback was the portion sizes, for the price. Other than that, we recommend it...enjoy! read more

This was my first time dining at Turtle Jacks in Winona. As soon as we entered we were greeted by the manager and hostess. Both were very friendly and welcoming. My first impression of the restaurant was casual, nicely decorated and very clean. We were immediately escorted to a table. The drink and food menus offered a lot of choices. I ordered the Blackened Chicken and Goat's Cheese salad. The chicken was warm, juicy and nicely seasoned, and the salad ingredients were very fresh. We were a party of five and everyone enjoyed their dishes were. The service was attentive and prompt but not rushed. As we left we were again acknowledged by the manager. I will go back to this location and I would recommend it. read more
