Food, service, and ambiance were all great. I had the shrimp and scallop fettuccine (without shrimp) which was tasty. Scallops tasted fresh and were a sizeable portion. I don't see a lot of Turtle Jack's around the GTA but Burlington has 2! I finally made it out for this one. It's actually open till midnight on Friday so it's a good option if you're looking to catch a later game or hang out at the bar. It was however a little confusing when we got there. The restaurant looked like it was closed because the lights were off in the main room and all the chairs were on the table. We called and they definitely were open! It's open seating in the bar so we were able to pick wherever to get seated. We did have a dedicated server help us out all night. There are special happy hour menu items for after 9pm, including their wings! The full menu is also still available. I ordered the Chicken Fettucine Alfredo. I've never seen this before but cheese was an extra $3! I was curious what it would be without it. There really wasn't any cheese on it. It was moderately tasty, pasta was cooked well. The chicken was a tiny bit dry. My boyfriend got the 4 Cheese Cajun Chicken Pasta which was much more flavourful but it was a bit spicy. I wound up dipping my chicken into his leftover sauce. All in all I thought it was an okay visit. The tables were a bit sticky and it definitely gave off more of a bar vibe than a restaurant vibe. read more

Really bad experience ordering from this location. I ordered a garden salad and when I received my food was perplexed as to why someone would package a salad with so many core pieces. I told my partner that the person who made this must have hated me because there seemed to be more pieces of the core than actual lettuce. If you're out of lettuce, decline my order rather than taking my money. I tried to have this issue solved through my food ordering app however the restaurant has stated there was nothing wrong with my order. I haven't been to a Turtle Jack's in ages. We stopped in for a quick Thursday night dinner and it was okay. We started with the 3-cheese dip, which was not great, but not horrible. I had a bowl of seafood chowder. It was tasty -- more of a goulash than a chowder, though -- and a Caesar salad, which was average. Overall our meal was fine. MEH!!!!! We waited 5 mins to be seated, staff walked by and no one addressed us. Then we were seated at a DIRTY table with crumbs on the seat. Our server was very monotone with no personality whatsoever. We ordered an Appetizer and it came AFTER our food. The app was also cold. My fries were cold, the serving for our bowl was SMALL and our drinks were not topped up AT ALLLLLLL, we had to ask. We didn't get checked in after the fact and had to ask for our bill. We went with a party of 10 including 6 kids. They seemed totally overwhelmed with the number of staff they had and it was not even half full. Our food took about 40 minutes to arrive (no appy) and when I enquired About the delay I was told by a flustered waitress the kitchen was understaffed and had been very busy and they were exhausted. They did kindly replace my blood orange margarita with a classic because it was very very sweet. The kids did not get the appy that comes with their kids meals, the kids steak was cardboard and hard. The tune poke tuna was good but rice was undercooked. It was a disappointing experience and I wouldn't go back. Turtle Jacks was a delicious place once we found it. Our service was quick and we didn't wait long at all to be seated. Our food came out quite fast and was delicious. We had the three cheese dip to start and it was awesome. We got a choice of naan bread or chips with it and it was fantastic. creamy and cheesy and the salsa on top had a bit of bite to it. I had the big wing dinner. Which was awesome. The wings were a great size, super saucy and not greasy at all. Definitely some of the better wings I've had. My fiancé had the big wing sandwich which was amazing looking. A huge piece of chicken on a bun with all the toppings. Dessert was the highlight. We had the skor brownie obsession. Which was two huge brownies topped with ice cream, whipped cream and chunks of skor. It was unbelievable. We'll definitely be back when we're around the area. read more

Very poor choice for vegetarians. The server said they can swap any meat out for tofu. Price still stays the same. Like uh, I didn't come here to eat tofu and pay the same price as a meat dish! Eventually ordered 3 cheese dip which was ok and the nachos. Sadly the nachos tasted like processed cheese and was not that good. However great service. We've been coming here semi regularly for years and they used to be quite good. Over the past 12 months it's really gone downhill. Poor and inconsistent service, and while I wouldn't normally write reviews, tonight was the final straw. We had two orders of chicken wings that were served raw. Nice menu, lots to choose from. I'd almost characterize it as a "poor man's The Keg", in that you get good quality food and it won't break your bank. I had the 8oz sirloin cooked medium with the baked potato. On the menu it said "double baked", but clearly wasn't - I was anticipating how The Keg does theirs, which is to die for. So if you're looking for a somewhat inexpensive night out and don't want to go over the top, then this is a place I'd recommend. read more

My first time eating at Turtle Jacks and I was impressed. Had Burger and Wings and was very full. Burger was $13 and Wings were $23. It's a little pricey but the food is absolutely delicious. They have a big screen TV, so you can watch the game and very comfy and cozy decor. There is a fireplace right when you walk in. Service was pretty decent. My first time eating here but not for my bf as he always eat out (part of the perk of his job). Our day started by us visiting the Burlington mall because I have never been there and decided to grab lunch after shopping. I had a great experience thanks to the manager of the restaurant. (I regret not asking for his name but here's a little shout out to him). Here is how our experience went...we order the wings as an appetizer to share and it took over 40 minutes and they came out burnt. The manager was so nice and attentive. He came over to our table to apologize for the burnt wings and for the long wait for a simple appetizer and offer to comp us for the item. Then i had the fish and chips (the waitress highly recommend), which was disappointing because do to the wings being burnt and delayed my fish and chips (must be sitting on the counter because it came out room temperature). My bf had the Bison burger which he like. Usually I would not go back to a franchise restaurant if the quality and service was not up to standard but I would be willing to go back only because the manager was attentive to details and he provided me with a great experience dining here. We went here twice in one day it was that good. No, it's not that we have bags of money and can eat out for every meal, my sister forgot her phone after our family had dinner here, and they kept it for us until we came back. Our server the first time was polite and was always on top of our coffees even though we had a fairly large party. It was also my cousin's birthday, and they surprised us with the skor brownie thing which was AMAZING. My sister and I each only got a bite of our cousin's, so when we went back to pick up the phone we got one for ourselves hehe. Our server gave us a bit extra because it was the end of the night, and was charming and comfortable cracking jokes. Overall, good food - good atmosphere - great servers ! We have been to this location of Turtle Jacks numerous times and we keep coming back. We have never been disappointed with any of the food (we've tried numerous items.) I especially love the burgers. Whenever I have a craving for a burger, this is where I go. Also, my husband frequently orders steak and he says it's just as good as a steakhouse. The service is always very good too. I think one time it was exceptionally slow and the server was a tad aloof, however we have been many times and didn't experience it again. The servers are professional and friendly and are great with kids. We have kids aged 5, 10 and 12 and they love it here. There is lots of choice of kids meals and they get a fun activity mat that they actually colour and utilize. Also, sometimes my husband and I will go for apps and drinks at the bar, and it's a fun laid back environment there. read more

A couple of weeks ago I went with family members to this location. I found the greeter to be sharp with us, when we arrived. Customer service is really important to me. Turtle Jacks has gone upscale. It's a busy spot given that there are a lot of homes, condos in the area. There is a bar area and dining room. Good for a casual night out, or with the family. Really try to find the best in each place, and recently tried them again only to be served absolutely raw chicken in my goat cheese/blackened chicken salad. The manager came out and covered cost of my lunch, which is fine, I don't really care to get "free food" i just am so thankful I wasn't deathly ill ... sadly lesson wasn't learned, last week again went after volleyball and with our order requested to have Wings as "Honey Hot" - hot and honey garlic, they came, I tried one and no honey garlic so asked the server for the honey garlic sauce. She returned about 10 mins later and looked at me and I asked if any luck on the HG sauce, the response was "I have to wait for the kitchen to give it to me, so until they do I can't give it to you right" .... our table was floored as had never expected that response, nor would I now who or how this was to be obtained, I'm just a patron that didn't get what he asked in the first place. Waited another 5 mins, my food cold I ate few more wings without the sauce and just gave the rest back as she cleared my friends plates I told her to not worry about getting it any longer. She said ok and that she would send her manager over. I saw her speak with her manager, looked over at our table, shrugged and walked away I guess determining that giving clients original orders wasn't really that necessary and thus didn't warrant his time. Sadly, it was just a small thing, but attention to detail is key for me and wouldn't have been that big of an issue had she not given such a rude response after I asked twice for her mistake and then manager electing to not take a minute of his time or try to just rectify a mistake on their behalf. Fool me once, shame on me .. but not going to be giving any other chances to this managed establishment. read more
