Perfect Homey and cozy place to do just that. This business hosts a fun movie night on Thursdays. Although they don't have food on this night...you are allowed to bring in outside food and snacks. Our new friends provided popcorn for all the guests to share. That was awesome! I love places that bring these things together. Nice people and great brews! No brawls but only good vibes and laughter found here! The movie really helped too. We all had a blast. We got a flight of cider and a flight of the mead. Both styles of brews were great. I learned that the honey is sourced from vista and Escondido. Their product tends to be on the drier side and the mead more semisweet than too sweet. They do have fish fry-day on Fridays and we will come back for that in the very near future! I'm a sucker for fish n chips (with malt vinegar) and food when I'm enjoying a good brew. The trivia was just about to start, and we had a few moments to get some cider. They don't serve food, but there was a food truck there. Our friends ordered pizza from a place nearby. During the night I tried two ciders: Sky and Dry, and a watermelon. My husband had a banana cider that he enjoyed. My favorite was the Sky and Dry, as it was refreshing without being sweet. Trivia was fun, and happens every Tuesday. Our friends reserve a table for their team each week. It was really hot that day, and it's probably not the most comfortable place to be in the heat, as tables are set out on the lawn with limited shade. But, after the sun set, it became quite pleasant with a breeze. We will probably be back, as we received tokens for free ciders as a part of one of the winning teams. The one thing that was a bit challenging for dog owners, and there were many there, is that there were no trash cans around the entire business park. The one outdoor trash can I saw at Newtopia had a sign that said "no dog poop". It is tough having a dog-friendly spot with nowhere to clean up after your best friend. We get 8 bottles every quarter at $220 and 15 percent off extra bottles or tastings. The past Sunday we tried their happy hour special which was 2 flights and some snacks for $59. But since we are members, it came out to $50 instead. We've had our share of meads. I would say the level of creativity is pretty high here. We had their viking mood which was stored in oak tasted like whiskey. Had their midnight which was on the highest sweet level. Also had the Valkyrie reserve which was phenomenal. But like our favorite winery as members, we are able to swap out the ones we didn't like to the ones we do. A total perk for members. Outside the place there's 2 patio tables and chairs. While Inside there are booth, tables, self serve water, instagrammable areas like their backdrop. Our host Erin was super helpful helping us, kudos to good service. We also got a recent bottle of their creme brulee mead. Highly recommended if you can get one that is. It's a little far for us, but we enjoyed batch mead. Tickets were purchased on-line, they allowed an hour beforehand to mingling. The layout was a little different from the last event I attended but it still felt intimate and cozy. I greeted friends, grabbed a NA bevie some mango deliciousness and parked my bottom at the closest table. The speakers topic was Crayons over Constitution so she provided us with blank poster board and crayons to doodle which I was totally happy to partake in. Mid presentation, I grabbed the other NA bevie, fruit punch of some sort. It was a wee bit too sweet for me, I should have gotten the mango bevie again but you never know what you'll like of you don't new things right? The event was incredible, I already requested to host to book her again. The venue is really awesome for small group events. I got to meet the manager/owner at the end of the evening and she was delightful!
