Chase & Chloe were so gracious and helpful during the booking process. It was easy to book a private play session, I've already booked two more. They were both at the door to welcome us when we arrived. The room was clean, spacious, safe and had plenty to do. There was even a cute sign customized for Winnie and George Bailey! Drawers full of balls, puzzles, frisbees, chew toys, snuggle mats. Treats. Agility equipment. And not crappy temu stuff, regulation agility equipment that is safe to use! There was a coffee bar for humans and lots of books for reference as well. The corgs could have played for much longer, but they were so happy to have some chase and play time. They host play groups, seems like it's done by size. When you book a session, it costs $28 and it is a private session for 30 minutes. I highly recommend this for your dogs socialization, and especially for high energy dogs stuck inside in this cold weather!

While I do trust the staff at Mutt-Hutt, I am a little disappointed with one thing in particular.... My Bailey (75lb German Short Haired Pointer) has stayed at the Mutt Hutt on several occasions. Both for day care and several overnight stays of both short and extended lengths. The advantage of this place is the cage free environment they offer. Bailey no longer sleeps in a crate at home so we thought it would be more comfortable for him to stay at a place that would allow him to socialize freely with the other dogs and at the end of the night, sleep on the hodge podge furniture throughout this house. The last time we picked him up, the staff said Bailey isn't allowed to stay overnight anymore. Ruh Roh! Apparently he "barks" too much. Huh? I could understand if he was aggressive, but he's not. At all. High energy, yes, but he's also the kindest, most gentle soul you'd ever meet. But he barks a tad too much according to the staff. That's like saying your child can't stay at day care anymore because your kid cries or talks too much. Nothing wrong with the kid. He plays well with others and is generally fun to be around, but he makes noise. What? Thanks anyways Mutt Hutt. We'll find somewhere else to take our pooch.

Teddy was completely unreceptive to my own attempts at training. As he grew larger and stronger, I knew that it was time to call in the professional. That is when Eric came into our lives and changed everything! Teddy was impossible to walk and was so forceful with me that I physically couldn't handle him. In addition, he would run full speed towards my young children - his 85 pounds knocking them down and eliciting tears and screams. Eric was absolutely incredible!!! Not only did Teddy immediately respond to him, but so did I. Eric taught Teddy in a patient, direct, and consistent way. He also taught me what to do, so that Teddy and I could work together effectively in his absence. I reached out to…read moreLorenzo's Dog Training to work with my 4-year-old female Malamute, Luna, who was reactive to other dogs on walks and becoming increasingly aggressive and possessive of resources with our 9-year-old male Malamute, Rex. Rene from Lorenzo's came to our home for an initial assessment of both dogs. It was a bit of an embarrassing experience, to be honest! Both dogs were howling uncontrollably (which isn't their usual behavior), and we had a hard time getting them to settle down. Rene immediately noticed Luna's shift in behavior as she started to fixate on Rex before trying to attack him, and he had us separate them. He suggested a 2-week board-and-train program for Luna to work on basic training and behavior modification, and at-home sessions for Rex to focus on basic obedience. Rex knew the commands, but being the stubborn Malamute that he is, he chose to ignore them! It was hard for me to let Luna go; I was so worried about her being away from home. But Rene sent updates, videos, and pictures of her progress, and I was amazed at how much she improved in just a few days! She was walking alongside other dogs without issue and even in the same room with them without trying to attack. While Luna stayed with Rene, we started at-home sessions for Rex, focusing on basic things like proper leash handling to set the foundation for the rest of the training. Eight sessions later for Rex, and after Luna's board-and-train, they are like new dogs! They both listen to commands when given; the selective listening is gone. They can both walk on and off leash--we even walked around Santana Row with them off-leash! Not distracted by other people or dogs. Friends and family have commented on how well-behaved they are. There isn't 160+ pounds of dog rushing the door when people come over. They don't beg at the table. I can unload groceries, cook, do anything without constantly telling them to move or not run out the door. We can actually take them just about anywhere and know they will behave. These were all things I didn't consider when I reached out to Lorenzo's Dog Training. I was just hoping to fix some behavioral issues. Rene was amazing to work with and has really improved our lives with the pups, and their lives as well. They both have more freedom now than they did before. I wish I reached out earlier.
