We originally wanted a string trio for more traditional wedding music, and planned to switch to a DJ after the ceremony. We had a phone consultation with Chris about what kind of music we wanted, and he accommodated us for a late night phone call (despite being a dad with two young kids!) which we really appreciated. My (now) husband and I went over our style of music which was Jazz/R&B and Chris ended up adjusting our day-of trio to a jazz trio, to better fit our music taste. Chris/JM allowed us to request two...uh... *interesting* choices for our processional/recessional. We said "....how do you feel about Outkast 'Prototype' for the processional and a Talking Heads song for the recessional?" and his response was "Awesome." What a weird request - so grateful for Chris for making our choice a reality. Day of, the trio was on time and well dressed. The songs turned out BEAUTIFUL and I had chills walking down the aisle to two incredible songs that meant a lot to me and my dude. The rest of their two hour period was Jazz/R&B style and our guests LOVED it. Lots and lots of compliments on having something a little different and really high end for the ceremony/cocktail hour. We would recommend them again in heartbeat. We spent more on desserts than we did on our trio and we wish we had paid them for longer! Hire them!

They were extremely engaged with the process and made us feel very secure in our decision from the outset. They made themselves available prior to the event so that they would know where to set up and also assisted in a last minute addition of playing our wedding video on a projector without a thought. During the event they did everything that you expect a DJ to do, took requests, provided announcements and were very attentive to the point of noticing that a song that they were playing was clearing the dance floor, so they immediately segued into a different song. Richard, Martin, I'm not sure where to start except with thank you. You both, but mostly you Martin :), exceeded my hopes and expectations beyond what I could have imagined. In my opinion, music can claim responsibility for at least 80% of any successful wedding. We've all been to the weddings that are beautiful. The ceremony is short. The booze is flowing freely, even the bride's long-winded father has managed to pull off an entertaining speech, and then the music starts. Sure hearing "Celebrate good time come on" blare from the speaker seems like a bad start, but you have faith. This wedding has been too good. The couple thought of every little detail. Surely this wedding will get better. And then it doesn't. People abandon the dance floor with the same level of disinterest that the DJ employed when he downloaded "Best Wedding Playlists of 2016," hit play on his MacBook, and started swiping right on the phone he conveniently placed on the unplugged turntables he brought for show...or at least that's how it seems. Martin, I can confidently say that you were the MVP of John's and my wedding. When I say this I mean, it would have been a worse wedding had you not been there. Your actions, professionalism, attention to detail, and willingness to do whatever it took to deliver on your promise, made our wedding incredible. It's not JUST that you played amazing music that kept people on the dance floor all night long and offered to play the bad guy when our no play list songs were requested, that's the work of a good DJ. You are a super DJ. You single-handedly managed the evening, moving us from one event to the next because as you correctly assumed, we needed the help. But what makes what you did so important, is that you did it all behind the scenes. The night moved seamlessly because of you, people danced until they were breathless because of you, you are responsible for the environment of fun that led friends of mine (mostly in their thirties, who have attended no less than 15 weddings each) to proclaim, "This was LITERALLY, the most fun wedding I've ever been to." If I've taken anything away from my experience as a bride on a budget planning her wedding it's that if you know your priorities (mine: music, photography, food, in that order) and you find experts who know the game, you're in for an amazing wedding experience. We hired them about 8 months out from the wedding and we were sent a link to fill out the details of our day. This was helpful to prompt us on all the options we needed to start thinking about. We met with our DJ, Jeron, five days before the wedding via Zoom. We sent him some Spotify lists for our cocktail hour and dinner that he was able to accommodate in short notice. He had the right amount of energy for the party we wanted and checked in with Chad and I throughout the night that was greatly appreciated. He also sent us a really thoughtful handwritten note to us after the wedding, that really meant alot. My only note is it would have been nice to have our initial meeting more like 2 weeks out from the event. We met on the Monday of our wedding week and that week was pretty jammed packed. Warning: LONG review. I truly cannot say enough good things!…read more Michael did a wonderful job coordinating, planning and DJing my April 2014 wedding reception. Yes, he played music, but even more, he performed the role as our reception coordinator. Like many brides, I originally thought that I needed to hire someone who could just play music. After seeing many positive reviews of Michael's services online, my fiance' Justin and I met with him in person. During our meeting, we realized that Michael was the real deal and that we needed to work with him. Michael explained how he would do much more than just play music -- he would help with planning the reception events with us, he would routinely meet with us throughout the whole planning process, he'd make sure the flow of the entire event made sense, etc. And he did exactly that! We Skyped with Michael on one occasion and also met in person on a few occasions. We also met at our reception site with Michael so he could plan out the event details, the location of the grand entrance, etc. Throughout our planning, Michael also was very prompt to respond via email whenever I reached out with questions, ideas and concerns. Michael told us time and time again that our job as the couple was to just enjoy our reception; his job was to make sure that it ran smoothly. And Michael kept that promise. Justin and I danced, mingled, enjoyed our food, and had a wonderful time at our reception. We never had any question about what's next, where do we go, aren't we supposed to cut the cake at some point? When we needed to perform a specific task at our reception, Michael found us and briefly gave us a reminder. On the music side of things, our dance floor was crowded the entire night. Of course as the bride and groom, we were busy talking with so many people, so we were not on the dance floor too much. Following up with one of the bridesmaids next day, she said, "I was on the dance floor the whole night!" Michael's planning and organization services combined with his DJ expertise was worth every penny. I would absolutely recommend him to any bride and groom looking for a DJ -- and then some.
