We originally wanted a string trio for more traditional wedding music, and planned to switch to a DJ after the ceremony. We had a phone consultation with Chris about what kind of music we wanted, and he accommodated us for a late night phone call (despite being a dad with two young kids!) which we really appreciated. My (now) husband and I went over our style of music which was Jazz/R&B and Chris ended up adjusting our day-of trio to a jazz trio, to better fit our music taste. Chris/JM allowed us to request two...uh... *interesting* choices for our processional/recessional. We said "....how do you feel about Outkast 'Prototype' for the processional and a Talking Heads song for the recessional?" and his response was "Awesome." What a weird request - so grateful for Chris for making our choice a reality. Day of, the trio was on time and well dressed. The songs turned out BEAUTIFUL and I had chills walking down the aisle to two incredible songs that meant a lot to me and my dude. The rest of their two hour period was Jazz/R&B style and our guests LOVED it. Lots and lots of compliments on having something a little different and really high end for the ceremony/cocktail hour. We would recommend them again in heartbeat. We spent more on desserts than we did on our trio and we wish we had paid them for longer! Hire them!

Anthony adjusted the mics real time as the wind moved in so we could hear the vows. Then as everyone else ran out of the rain he broke down the equipment in a deluge and moved it into the party. Shortly into dinner the power in the city went out, but Anthony found some battery powered speakers, rewired the setup, and kept the party going by emergency lights. Great professional and a wonderful person. He was positive and friendly even though he worked for hours totally soaked. Highly recommended.

He mispronounced my wife's name 4. He didn't play music during the ceremony (why were we paying him?) 5. He didn't play the music we asked for during the reception 6. When we asked for our music during the ceremony, he said he didn't have that even though we planned it in advance 7. We asked for no strobe lights as we have family members with vertigo and health problems. HE HAD STROBES WHICH SENT THE MOTHER OF THE BRIDE HOME ILL EARLY.

Yes, he played music, but even more, he performed the role as our reception coordinator. Like many brides, I originally thought that I needed to hire someone who could just play music. After seeing many positive reviews of Michael's services online, my fiance' Justin and I met with him in person. During our meeting, we realized that Michael was the real deal and that we needed to work with him. Michael explained how he would do much more than just play music -- he would help with planning the reception events with us, he would routinely meet with us throughout the whole planning process, he'd make sure the flow of the entire event made sense, etc. And he did exactly that! We Skyped with Michael on one occasion and also met in person on a few occasions. We also met at our reception site with Michael so he could plan out the event details, the location of the grand entrance, etc. Throughout our planning, Michael also was very prompt to respond via email whenever I reached out with questions, ideas and concerns. Michael told us time and time again that our job as the couple was to just enjoy our reception; his job was to make sure that it ran smoothly. And Michael kept that promise. Justin and I danced, mingled, enjoyed our food, and had a wonderful time at our reception. We never had any question about what's next, where do we go, aren't we supposed to cut the cake at some point? When we needed to perform a specific task at our reception, Michael found us and briefly gave us a reminder. On the music side of things, our dance floor was crowded the entire night. Of course as the bride and groom, we were busy talking with so many people, so we were not on the dance floor too much. Following up with one of the bridesmaids next day, she said, "I was on the dance floor the whole night!" Michael's planning and organization services combined with his DJ expertise was worth every penny. I would absolutely recommend him to any bride and groom looking for a DJ -- and then some. My Husband and I hired Tim to be out DJ/Photographer for our wedding , when i talked to Tim back in…read moremarch i told him that my husband and i are not party people at all and that we didn't want anything to loud , i also informed him that we didn't want any rap at our wedding at all since my husband does not like rap AT ALL !! we hired him to take pictures and be our DJ from 11AM to 7 PM. The week before our wedding i could not get a hold of him for anything !! after several attempts of calling/texting him he finally called me the night before our wedding to tell me that he would be leaving Kansas around 6AM and would be in the Ozarks by 10 at the latest, that next morning while my Bridesmaids and I were getting ready i got a text from him saying that he was going to be 30 minuets late for pictures which were supposed to start at 11 and i figured an hour for pictures would be fine but he didn't end up showing up till 12:30!!! we got maybe 10-15 pictures at the bridges where i originally wanted to get all my pictures at , we ended up having to wait till after the ceremony to finish all the pictures up at the church ...... which i was trying to avoid so that we could spent time with my family who traveled so far to join us on our special day which some of them ended up leaving shortly after we were done with our pictures, after the wedding i was later told by one of my bridesmaids that the photographer wasn't even going to take pictures of our first dance till my aunt who was also my bridesmaid mentioned that we would want pictures of our First dance, after the wedding i had my father talk to him abut him being late and he took off a small amount for that, and we were also told that he would expedite out pictures for us and have some of them for us that next weekend , i didn't see any pictures till September 25th , by that time i would have thought that i would have a least seen the raw pictures but we hadn't seen anything!! Before he sent us some of our pictures on the 25th the day before i had tired to text him to ask when we would get any of our pictures. I was told and I quote " Dakkota, would you like a rushed job? I wont put out less than quality products because i want my brides to have the best" end quote when i got the pictures the nest day i was looking through them and every picture is blurry and unfocused and I cant use a single picture I've gotten so far, on the contract it states that I would have my pictures Raw/Edits/DVD within 21 days it has been almost 2 months since my wedding and i have only gotten some of my pictures. As for Tim being our DJ he did play rap like we asked him not to he didn't play all the songs we wanted him too for the intro we wanted Bruno Mars- Marry Me but he played a song by Micheal Jackson, i don't have a problem with him but Tim didn't even consult me before changing the song on us,when it was time for the Father/Daughter Dance He ended up not being able to even find the song i wanted and it took him 20 minuets to find it,the music after the dinner was so loud we could barley even hear ourselves think. i ended up leaving with a bad headache that night. when Tim and his Assistant showed up that morning neither of them looked professional at all , he showed up in baggy shorts and a lose t-shirt and she was wearing Leggings that looked like denim with a t-shirt , now we didn't have a big fancy wedding but it wasn't exactly casual either. Tim is also almost impossible to get a hold of , we have been trying to contact him for weeks now about the pictures and i have barley heard a peep out of him ... and the only time i got a hold of anyone it was his secretary and i had called his cell phone and he was forwarding his calls to his office , Both my mother and Father have tried to get a hold of him and we haven't heard a peep, when my Mother tried to call she said that she got to talk to him for about a second and the the call got "dropped" and when she tried to call again it went straight to voicemail, his inbox is almost always full so you can never leave a message and trying to text him is nearly impossible and when you do finally get a hold of him its either several hours after you called/texted or its a couple days afterwards. I will not be using R2R entertainment for anything ever again, My husband and I are quite upset with how he has handled things and i think someone who id thinking about hiring him should look around to see if you can fund someone that will do the job right and the way you want it .

We got a hold of Steve Weller at Kahuna Sound and he referred us to his partner who was extremely helpful and even helped us plan the music, lights and entire sound system with microphone for the wedding toast. At the reception they were very professional, arrived early and setup, let us provide some of our music and took requests from guest (sober and not so sober) throughout the night. The sound system was good, the lighting was perfect and the DJ helped make the evening a success.
