My insurance is a low cost plan that was chosen by my employer. The insurance gets considerably lower prices than other insurances I've had in the past. That being said, I had scheduled an appointment to get some chipped teeth corrected. After telling the receptionist my insurance coverage, which Dr. Turner is included as In-Network, I was told that actually the appointment time they had scheduled me for just minutes ago wouldn't work, and they delayed my appointment for a month and a half. Two days before my scheduled appointment I received a call that they would not accept my insurance and canceled my appointment. I called my insurance company to discuss this matter and they informed me that they are in fact covered and they are legally obligated to honor their insurance contracts. Additionally, I would have received notice 30 days prior, which I did not receive. This office blatantly discriminated against me as they would receive lower payments for procedures and had deemed it not worth their time. read more
