One of those things has been tooth pain and finding out I needed to have a root canal before leaving. I was referred to Uzzel Dental Group by a friend and they were able to schedule to see me within two weeks. Dr. Uzzel is the most gentle, kind, and exceptionally talented Dentist I have ever been treated by. He and his staff have been clear with all that is going on and how they would treat it. Dr. Kristy Bultema at Beavercreek Endodontics who he referred to perform my root canal itself was warm and comforting (even after having some not so fun side effects from the numbing agent) and did an amazing job. Then to top it all off due to some PCSing gymnastics I had to wait at Dr. Uzzel's office for a couple of hours after walking across the street from having my root canal done to put the permanent crown on and his staff has been absolutely amazing. (To reiterate the wait was not their fault it was due to PCSing fun. If anything it was a huge favor to squeeze me in before our out processing date.) His staff has taken care of me all morning. Treating me like family. Even giving me snacks and making sure I have been comfortable. Additionally, I had a beautiful connection with a fellow patient that was extremely encouraging. I would recommend Uzzel Dental Group and Beavercreek Endodontics to anyone looking for dental care in the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base area. The office isn't that big! You feel like such an inconvenience to them, like "How dare you interrupt my web-surfing!!" Look, I am no diva and I don't expect a red carpet roll-out upon my arrival. What any business owes it's customers is very basic manners. A simple, courteous, "Hello, I will be right with you" goes a long way! However, during my appointment I learned he does not specialize in TMJ related situations at all and is incapable of diagnosing and treating pain related to TMJ. Apparently, this practice's idea of having a 'TMJ specialist' on staff is employing a regular dentist who can suggest an actual TMJ specialist, not even a medical referral, just a simple suggestion. I would've never came if I was made aware of this reality, as I have already visited many dentists who have suggested the same. They overrepresented their prestige, education, and capacities. All I was told was that I should see someone else as I appear to have problems with my TMJ, but it couldn't be diagnosed by this dentist. This was a wasted trip and I was told information I already knew. Their website has fraudulent reviews. Firstly, why would a business with under 5 Yelp reviews have hundreds of glowing and flattering reviews on their own website? The photos used by this practice are stock photos that are unrelated to the business itself. This is shady, why not use photos of your actual business to promote and advertise? Why feign hundreds of satisfactory reviews?
