This was my first root canal not done by my trusted dentist of 15+ years & I was nervous. They were confident, competent, kind & did an amazing job with zero pain.. I had cracked my front tooth in 3 spots. It was beyond excruciating. Literally worse than labor. Thanks to these guys, one day after my root canal & filling, I'm almost completely pain free. I'll never go anywhere else if I need an Endodontist. The best part was that they made me feel safe & like they actually cared about the end result. They were great & exceeded any expectations I could have had.

One of those things has been tooth pain and finding out I needed to have a root canal before leaving. I was referred to Uzzel Dental Group by a friend and they were able to schedule to see me within two weeks. Dr. Uzzel is the most gentle, kind, and exceptionally talented Dentist I have ever been treated by. He and his staff have been clear with all that is going on and how they would treat it. Dr. Kristy Bultema at Beavercreek Endodontics who he referred to perform my root canal itself was warm and comforting (even after having some not so fun side effects from the numbing agent) and did an amazing job. Then to top it all off due to some PCSing gymnastics I had to wait at Dr. Uzzel's office for a couple of hours after walking across the street from having my root canal done to put the permanent crown on and his staff has been absolutely amazing. (To reiterate the wait was not their fault it was due to PCSing fun. If anything it was a huge favor to squeeze me in before our out processing date.) His staff has taken care of me all morning. Treating me like family. Even giving me snacks and making sure I have been comfortable. Additionally, I had a beautiful connection with a fellow patient that was extremely encouraging. I would recommend Uzzel Dental Group and Beavercreek Endodontics to anyone looking for dental care in the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base area. Especially for those of you that might have aversions to going to the dentist.

I found this dental clinic through my dental insurance website and decided to come here earlier…read morethis week because it's very close to my workplace. I mainly came in as a new patient for a routine cleaning and checkup. It was 8 am on a weekday, and there were already quite a lot patients waiting. Fortunately, I didn't have to wait too long before being taken to the exam room. First, Kylie and Katlyn took my X-rays and 3D anatomy scan. They were both skilled and made the process comfortable. I did have some trouble with my gag reflex during certain angles of the X-rays, but overall I was satisfied with the experience. Next, Megan was my dental hygienist. She provided great education about gingivitis and examined and cleaned my teeth with care. However, the cleaning itself wasn't the most thorough I've ever had. It felt like more time and effort was spent scraping the surfaces of my teeth and less time cleaning the areas between my gums and teeth. She did follow up with thorough flossing and rinsing. For comparison, the most thorough cleaning I've had in the past involved spending a decent amount of time on both areas (gums and teeth). After the cleaning, Megan offered me an oral cancer screening and fluoride treatment. I was under the impression that both would be covered by my dental insurance, but I ended up having to pay $63 out of pocket for the 2 services at checkout. I was surprised by this and wish I had been informed about the cost before receiving these services. Lastly, my dentist Dr. Kiesel came in to examine my teeth and apply the fluoride treatment. He gave me the same recommendation regarding my wisdom teeth as my previous dentists, but also provided some additional insights that I found very helpful. Overall, I had a great experience from start to finish, including the scheduling process. I originally had an appointment scheduled 2 months out, but they kindly rescheduled me to the last available appointment this month after I made a last-minute request as a new patient. I really appreciated their flexibility and accommodation. One of the biggest advantages of this clinic is its technology. They seem to have some of the most advanced dental technology I've ever experienced, including the oral cancer diagnostic equipment. It made the visit feel very modern and professional. My appointment took a total of 1 hour and a half. Reasonable because I'm a new patient and needed imagings done. I've already scheduled my next follow-up appointment for next year and look forward to returning.

The front desk staff needs work, though, hence only three stars overall. Personality wise, it's always a lukewarm, if not a cool reception when you first walk in. There is absolutely nothing worse than standing right in front of the receptionist only to be greeted by nothing but silence. I know you know I am there, I am standing inches of front of you! The office isn't that big! You feel like such an inconvenience to them, like "How dare you interrupt my web-surfing!!" Look, I am no diva and I don't expect a red carpet roll-out upon my arrival. What any business owes it's customers is very basic manners. A simple, courteous, "Hello, I will be right with you" goes a long way! It's too bad that the front office staff doesn't reperesent Dr. Ingram very well. I will continue to go there since ultimately its the dentist and his work that matters. I've been in several times, so I thought I would wait until writing a review thinking maybe they were having an "off" day and maybe it would change. I don't know if the front office is unhappy or if they're just emotionless worker bees. The energy they convey dings them a few stars, though.
