Dr. Banks and staff are without a doubt the finest dental team in the world. People are like "uh I really like my own dentist" nah, just save it. This isn't arguable. It's a fact. Give these gals all the dental awards. ALL OF THEM! I will 100% be back for my 6 month cleaning. I'm not just gonna totally lie like I always do to other dentists. I cannot say enough good things about my experience. 50,000 gold stars! I would have paid triple for that kind of care. Highly recommend.

The 2 coverages we had did not know about the other companies so they were both being billed as primaries. This dental company was collecting more than the original bill amount. This company had to pay back money to the secondary insurance company. If you have 2 insurance coverage companies, watch the billing. A woman in that department attempted to gaslight me and make me feel like I was the one making a mistake. It was clear who was in the wrong when they paid the secondary insurance company back what was owed back to them. When I transferred to a different dentist, I requested records from this fraudulent dental billing. I was then once again gaslighted and was told I would have to pay for the records to be transferred. I threatened to turn everything over to the Ohio State Attorney General's office. Needless to say I did not pay to have those records transferred. And no, this is not my real name. I am choosing to use an alias to protect my anonymity.

Avoid Trailside Dental Care…read more After treatment at this office, I was left in severe pain and repeatedly asked to be evaluated by a dentist but was unable to speak with one. Instead, I was given guidance by staff while dealing with significant pain. I ultimately had to seek emergency care elsewhere, where the problem was properly resolved. In addition, I was told I needed 6-8 fillings and a crown. When I sought a second opinion, I was told that none of that work was necessary and that only one small area needed to be monitored. The difference between those two evaluations was alarming. Recommending large amounts of unnecessary dental work goes beyond poor judgment -- it's unethical. What makes this even more concerning is that the dentist at this office has been suspended by the Ohio State Dental Board and is currently practicing under probation for documented violations involving patient care. This is public information anyone can verify on the Ohio State Dental Board website. Please research carefully before choosing this office. Patients deserve to know this information when choosing a healthcare provider. This review is based on my personal experience and publicly available disciplinary records from the Ohio State Dental Board.

I have to say, I was mighty surprised how great my appointment was. First, don't judge a book by its cover- I try to remember that each time I have a notion to leave. Glad I didn't. I'm a big baby when it comes to dental cleaning and dental work. But, the dental assistant put my worries at ease and made my cleaning as gentle as possible and it was the best experience ever. I don't remember her name, but I hope she is the person that cleans my teeth in February when I return. The office is located in a strip mall near Buffalo Wild Wings and the dollar store. The main office is clean and neat but has some sort of weird feeling to it. It's not really the kind of place I imagined or am used to. But, in general, it doesn't matter because the backroom staff was amazing. I'm going to look forward to my next checkup.

We showed up thinking everything was covered, only to be hit with a $1,000+ bill on the day of the appointment. When I questioned it, I was told we'd be charged a cancellation fee if we didn't go through with it. So we were stuck -- no warning, no options, and no transparency. This is completely unacceptable. We trusted them to coordinate care responsibly, and they failed. If you go here, double-check everything they schedule for you. Clearly, they don't feel obligated to disclose important cost or insurance information ahead of time.

During a recent routine cleaning, my regular dentist noticed a potential issue with the implant and recommended that I start by returning to the original provider--so I did. From the start, the experience was frustrating and disappointing. I was initially told they never received my X-rays, so I personally brought them in. Once I did, the story changed: I was told the X-rays were "too grainy" to use and that they would need to take their own. When I asked how much that would cost, they said they didn't know and refused to look it up for me. I had two separate appointments, and at no point did anyone actually examine the problem or ask questions about my pain or symptoms. The focus was entirely on finances, and the tone made it very clear that they were not interested in helping me. The staff was rude, dismissive, and not honest about the situation. I am still dealing with tooth pain and genuinely hope to find a provider who will help me--but it will not be Advance Dentistry.

Everything went well my first two or three visits. But after going in for a check-up and getting an appointment for some fillings, everything fell apart. It had nothing to do with the clinical staff. It was the office staff which spoiled everything. The day I went in to get my cavities taken care of, I learned my insurance no longer covered my visit. It turned out that when I went for my check-up, the office staff failed to realize that my insurance no longer covered my care. That's one mistake, but then two weeks passed and they failed to notify me of this, another egregious error. It's bad enough to have to deal with a painful visit to the dentist but then to go in and they tell you that your insurance no longer covers your visit -- well, I was fit to be tied. You would've thought they would've let me know before coming in -- they had plenty of time. I left, called my insurance and found that I had some coverage but would have to pay upfront and submit it. So, after a while, I returned and asked to make an appointment. The office staff person said she would call after she reviewed the schedule, which she never did. Time passed and one of my teeth chipped and needed attention, so I went in to discuss coming in for an appointment. After waiting awhile, one of the office staff took me in her office and discussed my options. She said she wanted a down payment before coming in, but then I said, well let me just get a checkup first and see about the chipped tooth. She was about to agree, when suddenly she blurts out that they overheard me and another guy "bad mouthing" them. The truth is that another guy was telling me about problems he was having with the office staff and I told him about mine. Then we discussed some experiences we had with other dentists. We both agreed, the problem generally was not the dentist or dental professionals but the office staff. Well, I felt that this was an invasion of our privacy. We weren't talking out loud and announcing this to everyone there, but one of their staff apparently overhead part of what we were saying. What? I protested. "This is none of your business what I say in a private conversation with someone else." Yes, we were complaining privately to each other, but also talking about other dentists and even said good things about the dentists and dental assistants -- JUST NOT THE OFFICE STAFF. Well, I had, had it. I said heatedly that I wouldn't continue there and they asked me to leave, acting indignantly though they were the ones who had the temerity to be interlopers into the private conversations of their patients. But I was the bad guy because I became upset because they did this. What is wrong with these office people in Healthcare? It's not the first time I've had problems with people in medical offices. Almost never with the medical professionals. I guess it's because they are trained to treat people with respect and dignity. Office people, apparently not.
