I have NEVER received such rude service from a dentist in my life. My son who is 3 1/2 years old…read morehas visited the dentist every 6 months since he turned 1. He attends sees my family dentist at Cincinnati Dental Services, so he's not a stranger to the environment or process. However, during an incident at school he fell and injured his two front teeth a the top of his mouth. I was able to get him in to see our family dentist and after x-rays and 2 weeks of monitoring, they began to discolor and she recommended they be extracted by a pediatric dentist. In my effort to stay within my network, I traveled from West Chester to Florence after reviewing Dr. Bathiany's online reviews. The front office team and waiting room was average, at best. My wait was approximately 15 minutes, which was fine and upon being called to the back we were taken into an open office (no door, just walls on either side of us that basically served as spacers so there is no confidentiality). Although I explained when making my appointment the reason for my visit, the dental assistant was unaware of why I was there, nor did she have the x-rays. No problem, I had pictures of them and called my dentist office who promptly sent them forward. Dr. Bathiany eventually came over. 1st - He did not introduce himself to me, say hello, or ask the reason for my visit. 2nd - He immediately started speaking quite loudly which immediately made my son nervous (3 year olds are not the most trusting, especially in a clinical setting). 3rd - He picked up my file and loudly proclaimed, "An Aetna DMO???!!! You have the worst insurance out there!! ??" He was so loud that another patient's mother peaked her head around the wall to see what was going on. 4th - He asked my son to sit in the chair and started to raise and lean it back without explaining to hime what he was going to be doing, which really rubbed me the wrong way as my son was clearly agitated. He then expected me to hold him down, for the exam. Given that I brush my son's teeth daily, I knew they were discoloring, but he seemed determined to show me. When I said it wasn't necessary, he immediately got annoyed with me and began to test me on my knowledge about whether the teeth were loose or in tight. He then told me he didn't agree with extracting them. He wanted to do a pulpectomy. I disagreed as my son had an infection that was not going away which meant if it reached his permanent teeth, his adult smile would have been negatively impacted. 5th - Once we landed on extracting the teeth he told me that with my insurance being so bad, they would need a pre approval and that could take up to 4 weeks. That was in the beginning of October, and I have yet to receive follow up communication from Dr. Bathiany or his office personnel. I eventually had the service completed with Dr. Goodell at (http://www.outstandingdentalteam.com). I wish I had gone to her first as she provided an OUTSTANDING consult, took an x-ray, and extracted the teeth all in a single visit! Dr. Bathiany and team a little bit of kindness, dignity, professionalism = respect which goes a long way.

I walked in today for my daughters appointment and not one of the four woman up front even acknowledged us while they all continued to laugh and talk about their personal business. None of them even made eye contact with me as I stood there. I signed my kid in on their clip board and walked myself into the waiting room.... no, "hello, hi, welcome, what's your child's name..."

I waited in the room for a while to see Dr. Kerr, so part of me wanted to write a scathing review,…read morebut after meeting with her, I realized why she was delayed: she really REALLY cares about her patients. She wanted to know about me before she wanted to know about my teeth, which was refreshing. She is so sweet. I was skeptical walking into an orthodontist as a 25 year old, and while this place is aesthetically designed for pre-teens, the care is truly universal. I'm very excited to continue this process with their service.

I went to Grace Kerr Orthodontics for my teeth for 8 years and was extremely disappointed. From the…read morebeginning, Dr. Grace Kerr prioritized the idea of maintaining my side profile, something I had never asked for, but I trusted her judgement as a medical professional. The outcome of this led to my teeth being pulled out forwards, exposing the roots out of the front of my jaw bone, causing them to become so unstable that I was advised to stop all contact sports due to how they were positioned over the years by Dr. Grace Kerr. I was told I would be out of braces by my sophomore year of high school, but I am now 22 still undergoing corrective work elsewhere to fix the issues developed during my treatment at Grace Kerr Orthodontics. This has significantly affected my confidence and no real accountability was ever taken. I'm sure she has moved on from my case, but I still think about her, and am forced to deal with the repercussions of what she did to me every single day. Based on my experience, I do not feel Dr. Grace Kerr can be trusted with anyone's dental care.

The patient room is bizarre, it feels like one big "circus tent" with a ring of dental chairs…read morearound the edge. All patients crammed next to each other. Very impersonal. No privacy at all, loud, unsettling. The staff seems distracted as well, because of all the commotion. There definitely seems to be a push to rush through everything as fast as possible. In addition, they really don't stand by their most basic work. If you have an appliance detach because of glue failure (poor work?), they will only re-glue it for free if it's within 30 hours of your appointment. Otherwise it's $110 to fix (for a 15-minute appointment!).

Was sold on the "two-phase" approach to prevent root and nerve damage. Now, after having both phases and being told we will likely need at least one more phase - went to another ortho for second opinion. Just saw second ortho, and saw the x-ray showing tooth coming in sideways and basically cutting the roots of neighboring tooth, it certainly appears that all the work that was done in the first 2 phases was simply a cash grab. So much for pulling teeth to "make room" - he has all the room in the world, and yet no monitoring along the way to confirm and verify what was done is actually working! All throughout the process they were very impersonal, like a cattle call and you were in the way of them seeing the next patient. The only real discussion that ever took place was in regard to the "plan" and cost information. I would recommend looking elsewhere and be weary of dentist referrals to only one orthodontist.
