I give this dentist, David Scott Lipps, DDS a 10 star rating. I was always afraid of dentists, so I never went much. Thank God a very good friend recommended this dentist. I just starting going to him a year and a half ago. He was so gentle, did not judge me on the condition my teeth were in and talked me through every step he did to ease my emotional and mental stage of denistry. I am 69 years young and my teeth were in horrible condition. He had to pull some top teeth and I was fitted with a partial. He had me coming back until I felt comfortable with the partial. It was amazing. His staff is amazing!!! I have had my teeth cleaned every three months and I realize now, what I could have done to save my teeth. If I could have seen Dr. Lipps earlier. I would know there is nothing to be afraid of. When numbing my teeth to clean them the first time, he made sure I did not feel a thing. His personality is terrific. I would send all my friends to him. I will recommend him to everyone I know who is looking for a dentist. The entire staff is always courteous, shows compassion and is always looking out for my best interest. He tries to save teeth as best he can until there is no option left. I love his work ethics, his desire to make me comfortable and..best of all...he shows me there is no reason for fear. Hello I have never written one of these before, but I should have done this 10-15 years ago. I have been coming to Wyoming Smile Center even before it was Wyoming Smile Center but Dr. Yochum has been my dentist the entire time. I am not a typical dentist patient, Although I obviously go through the same maintenance as everyone else, my periodontic problems constantly complicate my needs of upgrading my dentures and dealing with the progressive problems of remaining teeth. Dr. Sarah Yochum has navigated me through these embarrassing and painful times so I can progress and maintain an aesthetically pleasing appearance during my busy and interactive life while being able to eat normal foods. But there's more than just being good at the latest dental techniques; she also recognizes and empathizes when abnormal situations occur and does everything she can to help you get through them. But it's not just Dr. Yochum that is exceptional; it's everyone from the office staff to the dental assistants and doctors that is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The single dwelling turned into an office, gives it a very home-like appeal that makes it feel like you are part of a family. When moving to the Cincinnati area 3 years ago, I was very concerned about finding a good dentist since I had poor experiences in both Columbus and the previous city that I had lived in with dentists. I asked around and my supervisor told me about Dr Lipps. I still haven't found a good doctor but for the first time in my life, I actually enjoy going to the dentist. The dentists are professional as well as caring and friendly. The dental assistants make one feel so at ease. Even the secretaries are welcoming and pleasant. I talked both my daughter and her husband in trying them out and they feel the same way as I do about Dr. Lipps' practice. An example of how thoughtful they are is when I had to take my 21 month old grandson to an appointment that I had for a cleaning. The dental hygienist talked to him while doing her job and pointed out interesting things that were occuring outside (he was looking out of the window). When it was time to take x-rays, she talked him into going out of the room to help her push a button to take a picture of grandma's teeth. I had a disappointing experience at this dental office that I feel compelled to share. Unfortunately, I found the staff to be quite rude and lacking in transparency. I was billed for services without any prior notification, only to discover the charges five months later. The office management's lack of compassion and understanding was truly concerning. Additionally, my concerns as a patient were met with dismissal rather than care. The receptionist's attitude regarding billing was particularly unprofessional and unhelpful, which only added to my frustration. It felt as though the office prioritized profit over patient care. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dental office. I believe it's important for patients to feel respected and valued, and unfortunately, this office fell short in that regard. read more

My husband I been coming to Dr. Lipps and his staff for 13+ years. ALL of his staff make you feel so welcome. Eveyone makes you feel like one of the family. I'm a very scary patient when it comes to dentist, but Rhonda and her magic jelly made feel less apprehensive. And Dr. Lipps makes receiving injections feel like butter. I tried to see another dentist but the warm inviting feeling and the overall care that I receive from Dr. Lipps and his staff made me feel like I was cheating so I've returned. I also appreciate the financial options Dr. Lipps provides. Without that my insurance wouldn't afford me the ability to take care of my teeth in the manner they deserve. Keep up the good work! I recently moved and needed to find a new dentist. I contacted Wyoming Smile Center and was able to get an appointment reasonable soon. I needed a my six month checkup cleaning and a crown. Upon arrival I was able to get my X-rays done and a through checkup. My cleaning was scheduled and professionally done. Followed by preliminary crown work. On my third visit a filling and my crown were done. Valerie Barnes is my dentist and was friendly and does excellent work. The staff including Nathan , Natalee, and the lady who cleaned my teeth. This was my first visit but certainly not my last! My husband and I were looking for a new dentist as we were less than impressed by our former dental office. I also wanted to find an office close to home. From the moment I stepped in I felt welcomed, was greeted and taken back to the room rather quickly. During the exam and cleaning Anita explained everything thoroughly, which was impressive because this didn't happen at my previous dental office. She made me feel very comfortable, so it made the experience enjoyable. Dr. Yochum was also very nice and pleasant to talk to. Long term patient 20 + years. I was a patient of Dr. Lipps but stayed when he retired. I wouldn't trust anyone else. Dentists are wonderful. So caring & skilled. Staff is great from the front desk to the back office. Marcia is my regular hygienist she is awesome! I get little tips & lectures when I deserve/need them but no pressure. Laurie always helps me figure out the insurance & out of pocket so I won't have any surprises. Everyone is very friendly. (I'm sure I'm forgetting to mention a lot of names..sorry). Great location. My family have been with the founder of the clinic Scott Lipps from 1997 until Scott retired. Scott was a fantastic dentist and established a very high standard of care. Not familiar with the new dentists and staff, I was a bit unconfortable "re-starting" dental care with Wyoming Smile center. From the time I started my dental care with Dr. Sarah Yochum, I had a bridge and a crown replaced/restored. Dr. Yochum and her staff did a great job, caring for my comfort and for every detail in the restoration. After being a patient here for years, I was extremely disappointed to learn this practice is now owned by a corporate dental group. I guess all of the new aggravating policies, extraneous charges, and staff changes make more sense now. I only wish the ownership transfer and new policies had been adequately communicated to patients. Certainly, that type of communication is possible given the over-the-top appointment confirmation system. Oh, and getting a complete copy of your own records is a hassle, too. Terrific dentist experience! I'm not someone who dreads the dentist, but I don't look forward to it either. I have to admit that I'm now looking forward to future dental appointments because of the kind and personable staff. Our family has been going to Dr. Lipps for over 10years. And our 3 kids 8years, 6years and 4year old also goes to get their teeth cleaning and checkup here. We are very pleased with all the staff members, they have been very good and pleasant everytime we come in. They have great mannerisms and pleasant when they talk to you on the phone. After certain dental workups they call you the next day to checkup on how things are going. On the plus side it is close to home and very convienient to get too. I've been coming to the Wyoming Smile Center for a few years and it's the best experience! Staff are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Wait times are very short and while patients are properly cared for you're not spending a lot of unnecessary time in the chair. The office is always neat and clean and safety precautions are a visible priority.
