I have never written a review before, but the attitude that I encountered this afternoon propelled me to do so. I brought in my first set of clothes to be assessed, and the treatment was appalling. I have three more sets of much higher-end clothes to follow, but I will not be returning here. It was my first time doing consignment, and I told the girl as much. I left my clothes for about fifteen minutes returned to find that they were all rejected. I do not object to that. I was surprised, as I said, it is my first encounter. I indicated my surprise and was immediately assaulted with a snippy "Is there a problem?" from the girl behind the desk. Rude and unacceptable. I indicated that I was simply surprised. I was then told that "your items are brands we would not be interested in." Which in and of itself is fine, but the delivery of the information was high-handed and frankly in a word- snotty. I was appalled by the treatment. I do not mind rejection of items, as there are criteria that the store uses as a measure of what will sell. However, the delivery of information and customer/representative interaction needs a complete turnaround!!!! It was so rude and condescending. Too bad, as my Chanel and other high-end items that were coming will never come your way. Treat people better with respect and lose the attitude. read more

Turnabout is the only place I shop for clothing. I've gone there for years. The staff, such as Aine, are great. Even if they haven't seen you in months, they are welcoming, helpful, and honest about whether something looks good on you. Don't shop here, they are awful people who treat customers like there trash. After spending thousands of dollars on high end purses and sunglasses and clothing, they treated my Son like he was some sort of disgusting human being. My son who is 3 and has autism was in his stroller while his mother was shopping . One of the new hiers approached my son tearing him apart for touching a few peice of clothing on the rack . After his mother approached her and explained he isn't doing anything wrong and he is autistic and likes the textures, she then gave the most disgusting look and said he can't touch anything cause we're in a pandemic . Meanwhile everyone in the store is touching every article of clothing . If that's the stance management is taking in a consignment store where everything comes off the street and everyone else is aloud to touch the cloths maybe they should close there doors until or better yet just close there store . People should never approach another child , and speak to then the way they did my son . I wish his mother got her name because it would be included in this post . I hope everyone reading this understands how they treated my son he is the sweetest little boy , and she is lucky I wasn't there . I have only been in once but plan to be back again. There were massive amounts of xs and small, anything bigger was not easy to find something great. Store is set up nice and change rooms are great. read more

they told me to bring in spring/summer clothing while I had brought in biker shorts and tank tops in similar styles I have seen on their floor and they didn't take any of my stuff telling me to bring in summer clothing. like make it make sense LOL this place is seriously so bad i'd never go here if i were you, also, I had brought in a pair of Hunter boots, and they told me they couldn't take them, even though they had two pairs of hunter boots on the shelves these people don't know what their doing i'm absolutely furious read more

This used to be my favourite store. i have been shopping there since they have opened. They know who I am and my son. one day I went in there to shop and had my son with me who has autism. he likes to feel the textures of the clothing which I see nothing is wrong with that considering there are no signs saying DO NOT TOUCH CLOTHES. then this new girl that works there went up to my son and started getting mad at him saying "EXCUSE ME DO NOT TOUCH THE CLOTHING THAT IS VERY UNSANITARY WE ARE IN A PANDEMIC." my son is four years old. What is wrong with this girl. I was so shocked and upset I walked right out of the store in tears. I cannot believe someone who is in customer service can treat people that way. And since when is it okay to speak to someone's four year old child and not the mother. I will never go back there again. SHE SPOKE TO MY SON LIKE HE WAS DIRTY And the looks and tone she was giving us was very hurtful. I am still in shock about this whole situation. read more

Maybe this store is good for buyers but I am seller and this one can be useful if you are planning to bring items to South Surrey store. First of all they promises give you 40 % of the price but they are keeping some designers new items for friends or family until price will drop down to the bottom line and you can get less than 10%. What's happened to me. At the I end of August I have contacted south Surrey turnabout store regarding unsold items and I got an email that everything was sold. When I got my cheque in September 20, I have found that two items were missing. According to manager explanation, it was sold, returned and sold again on September 11. And one item was given to charity without my permission. If I knew that my item is still in the store I could take it and do not wait for the bottom price. And I mention it couple of times. When I contacted store with question why my item was sold after I got email that no unsold items on my account, I got reply that all my items that I brought for autumn season will be returned immediately and they refuse to work with me in the future. Very rude and unprofessional reply on my legimited question. Ok we do have other consignment stores in my neibourhood and Craigslist, so I have other options but they lost my trust, so I will not recommend this business to my friends. read more

i am writing this to say i brought in a lot of clothing and it had brand names trendy and in like new condition. i browsed around the store and a short while later came back to see what clothing they wanted.....not one piece as the lady behind counter said some items had a faint smoke smell on some of the items...i was shocked and appalled...no one smokes in my household and all items were freshly laundered....she gave them all back to me and then i took them to another consign store and she accepted every single item and they all sold Also extremely high prices for used clothing read more

They have a good selection if you are a buyer. I am a seller and I brought in a lot of beautiful clothes (barely worn) in December and they turned them all down. They are very choosy and seem to want the latest trendy clothes. It's best to bring winter coats in to sell early in the season like Sept or Oct otherwise they won't accept them (they get too many). read more

She asked what I was looking for and lead me to the location. Thank you for such amazing customer service which is hard to find nowadays. I believe this is the store that moved into peninsula village, surrey, about 10 minutes from their old Johnston street location. Upscale consignment clothes in great condition. Prices are higher than regular thrift stores, but their clothing is good quality, lots of brand names. Purses and shoes are amazing also. Take the time to go through the jewelry, some good finds. Store is laid out nicely and roomy. Prices go down monthly and they use color codes. End of season sales are great. Check this place out, you need time to go through the racks. read more
