It's set up nicely, it's clean, and organized well. My favourite part though, is that they have lots of gorgeous older pieces. You can tell that each piece is hand picked for the shop. So glad I finally stopped by!

Vancouver's vintage and consignment is already notoriously expensive and caters almost exclusively to a small dress size. Community, a Vintage and Consignment that is run by a non-profit Downtown Eastside housing and resource society not only engages with the neighbourhood it lives in, but also works to diversify its size range to engage with shoppers of many sizes. It hires women from the neighbourhood to work in the business and portions of the proceeds go back into the neighbourhood, which feels great while you shop! The space is small but well utilized and well decorated. Great jewelry by local designers is on display and the clothes have a very consistent and curated turnover rate. And the prices!! Compared to Vancouvers vintage scene, Community is absolutely the fairest price I've found yet. These days even Value Village is getting pricey so to go to a shop where the selection is so well picked out and find something affordable feels great. Again, I'm a plus size shopper who finds an amazing score here 90% of the time. Pieces from Community make up probably 50% of my wardrobe. See you there this weekend!

The first shop among a dozen cafes and restaurants along the walk from Fort Langley into the village, this one is hard to miss. Step inside and immediately be transported to some stage of your life that you had forgotten, longed-for, or wished you had left behind. Find treasures and trinkets for everyone on your gift/souvenir list and then some. Be careful when talking through, especially with larger bags (which you are supposed to check at the stony) or with kids. There is a lot that is fragile and so much that can lure them in. Overall, a fun shop!

I was visiting from the United States so of course, I had to check to see if this place sold any china made by Royal Albert and lo and behold, they do! Prepare to have your mind blown: this place has all kinds of beautiful patterns of Royal Albert china, I was absolutely blown away by the fact that they had so much of this brand of china available. Overall, I just had fun looking at all the china they had and I even bought myself a couple of side plates and a butter dish in the Moonlight Rose pattern (I'm already building a collection of china in this pattern) and a side plate in the centennial rose pattern at a reasonable price, I will be back next time I visit Canada!

The main floor has a huge selection of jewellery from various eras, bags, shoes, accessories, and vintage clothing, along with some knick knacks. Upstairs, there's more clothes, including a small children's section, some more contemporary pieces, jeans, housewares and records. The standouts are the shoes and jewellery. There were some amazing shoes including doc martens with flowers and artichocke moschino heels -- if only they were my size! The jewellery selection includes a large selection of screw back and clip on earrings, regular earrings and brooches among necklaces, bracelets, etc. Some very cool and unique pieces. The prices are super fair and the owner curates the whole store and is fun to chat with. Very knowledgeable about styles from different periods! The staff here is really friendly and will help you with suggestions if you are looking for something specific. I was shopping for earrings for my sister and everyone here helped me find the perfect gift. Everything on the ground level has tags that indicated the decade the item dated to. The second floor did not always have this, just because a lot of the items were obviously contemporary so it was not so necessary e.g. a sweater from Zara. This store is a hidden gem!

Though I'll almost always leave with something since they do such an amazing job curating their clothing and jewelry. But regardless if I'm just there to chat, to buy, or to sell, I've always had a great experience with them!

I brought in my first set of clothes to be assessed, and the treatment was appalling. I have three more sets of much higher-end clothes to follow, but I will not be returning here. It was my first time doing consignment, and I told the girl as much. I left my clothes for about fifteen minutes returned to find that they were all rejected. I do not object to that. I was surprised, as I said, it is my first encounter. I indicated my surprise and was immediately assaulted with a snippy "Is there a problem?" from the girl behind the desk. Rude and unacceptable. I indicated that I was simply surprised. I was then told that "your items are brands we would not be interested in." Which in and of itself is fine, but the delivery of the information was high-handed and frankly in a word- snotty. I was appalled by the treatment. I do not mind rejection of items, as there are criteria that the store uses as a measure of what will sell. However, the delivery of information and customer/representative interaction needs a complete turnaround!!!! It was so rude and condescending. Too bad, as my Chanel and other high-end items that were coming will never come your way. Treat people better with respect and lose the attitude.
