Instead, it was nothing like last year and there was no separation. Older kids and oddly pushy parents immediately trampled the small courtyard area. It was chaotic, overwhelming, and frankly unsafe for the littlest ones. When I privately messaged the business to share that the promised toddler head start wasn't enforced and suggested better structure for next year, I was met with complete defensiveness. I was essentially told I should be "grateful" rather than disappointed because it was a free event (when technically we did pay over $50 to "be there") I completely understand that free community events are a massive undertaking, but good intentions don't excuse poor advertising, poor safety execution or dismissing customer feedback. To not even get a simple apology after years of loyalty leaves a terrible taste in my mouth.
