On vacation in St. George and saw this place on Yelp. The food was great! We all tried different dishes: Chicken and Spinach, Chicken Tika Masala, and Chicken Karahi. Spicy for sure but so yummy. Our garlic naan was tender while warm but then firmed up over time. The location was clean and had lots of seating but was empty on a Friday night besides some carry out. The service was a bit on the lacking side. There was an issue with the card payment, and it was a hard interaction. read more

It wasn't great and it wasn't horrible. We ordered curry coconut chicken, butter chicken, and garlic naan. The curry coconut chicken needed more curry and some salt. It was really lacking flavor which was very disappointing. Chicken was also a little dry. The butter chicken was a little better but again, needed some seasoning. I'm not sure whether they backed down on the flavor since my wife said mild heat. Even so, why would you back down on the curry and seasoning? The garlic naan was good. And the Basmati rice was good as well. I'm not a big fan of Mediterranean food but know that they are flavorful when I do eat it. This place just falls short. read more

I ordered $100 in food from the Bombay Café. It was DoorDash. I had a hard time getting it down. My mom couldn't even stomach it. We didn't even bother to save any leftovers. $100 wasted. read more

While the staff there seemed very interested in sharing their food and being kind about it, the fact is that the food was really not great. We stuck with some real basics and they fell flat in the flavor department. The curry was underspiced and underseasoned and a little thin, and the saag was very plain and didn't resemble any version of this dish I've ordered anywhere else. On the plus side, it's order at the counter and super convenient to do that, in this very convenient location. We loved that we could walk over and it was near a lot of other fun "downtown-y" St. George spots and really wanted to love it. But even now, months later, it still stands out as a swing and a miss. Went there today ordered some Chicken Coconut Curry and some Chicken & Spinach for take out. Opened up the packages, the curry was a runny soup, little flavor, very little spice and some chicken. The chicken and spinach was not much different. My advice, go somewhere else for fast Indian food read more

The food and service was just okay, not spectacular. So I gave it an average rating. The facility was not clean. My feet were sticking to the floor as I walked through the restaurant. The bathroom was filthy with urine on the floor. We were there when the opened for the evening shift so there was reason for this. If it's this filthy in the public areas I can only cringe to think how filthy it's in the back. I hope the health inspector is doing random inspection. read more

Everything could have improved. On a Sunday night they have one person working. Taking your order cooking your food serving your food if you could call it that. The atmosphere is also horrible. Broken blinds that are probably been that way for months. The one man working couldn't smile if you paid him. The food was mediocre at best. We tried to order but the person behind the counter barely spoke English and said that anything my husband ordered was going to take 23 minutes, so we decided to wait and my husband asked for the item and the guy just kept saying NO, didn't seem like he wanted to work. Growing up in the Bay Area of California I grew up eating authentic Indian food. I was pleasantly surprised at the caliber and taste of Bombay Cafe's cuisine. The Samosa's were light, flaky and full of flavor. The Chicken Biryani was delicious and I could taste the spices that were used correctly in the dish. If you would like to try delicious and authentic Indian food I highly recommend Bombay Cafe. read more

I know it's hard to tell from the photo, but this "tikka masala" is pinkkkkk..... As an avid Indian food junkie this is a TRAVESTY. There is absolutely no taste to this "tikka masala" besides canola oil and week old chicken. This place is so far lacking in flavor that they couldn't even give me anything even remotely "spicy" like I ordered. IVE HAD CUP-O-NOODLES WITH BETTER FLAVOR. PLEASEEEE dont waste your money. Decided to try this out since we were in the area. The ambiance and cleanliness is the best thing about this place . The lamb kabob was tough and dry to the point I needed to wash it down every bite. The only reason I didn't give 1 star is because the butter chicken had good flavor. However, it was like the rest of the meals extremely dry. My daughter said the tikka masala was flavorless and extremely dry. She almost got a straw to suck up the sauce to add moisture to the chicken. The service was minimal. I understand that he was or the only one who was working and we could only order takeout so nothing bad to say about his service. Overall, I'll continue to go to Red Fort since I have never had any complaints there. read more

I'm new to the area and gave it a try despite the poor reviews. The service was friendly, but the prices did seem high for what I got. The lamb was very dry and over cooked with an old/poor flavor. This was my second time here. First time was a great experience! This time not so much. I got the butter chicken with garlic naan and mango lassi. The butter chicken was so oily! Did not have much flavor like I remembered and the chicken was a bit dry. The rice was so flavorful and so good! The naan was a bit hard and rubbery. The mango lassi was soooo good! I have been craving butter chicken and this was really disappointing. I ended up throwing away the butter chicken and naan. It just wasn't settling right between how oily it was and the stale texture from the naan. That was $25 wasted . Food was served fast and steaming hot, absolutely the best authentic Indian food in town. They also have a little gift shop section of beautiful goods from around India. Literally not an Indian food, or not what I'm use to eat. Asked for a lamb vindaloo which is tomato base sauce and I depare myself with this plate. I ate because I was starving and wasn't going to request a new one, I spoke with the Men at the register and he tried to educate myself that all the other restaurants, the google pictures I showed him of the place was wrong and his wife was a chef and that's the right plate. Well, there's 5 little pieces of lamb, full of carrots, peas, cauliflower and potatoes in a really weird sauce which I have never seen before in an Indian place. Don't want to be so long, but don't recommend at all. Garlic naan looks like they buy a bread from a place also don't taste like garlic at all. read more

so disappointed to have spent $80 here in takeout before i read the reviews. i ordered lamb vindaloo and several appetizers--none of the food had any flavor at all. not even the sauces. lamb vindaloo is a spicy dish in a dark brown/red sauce... what is this that i got? it's like a bland, buttery sauce with a few pieces of tough lamb and mostly peas and potatoes otherwise. the "naan" was not naan, and it was dry. just like the chicken. the only decent item i got was the samosa, which i couldn't enjoy because the sauce was tasteless. and the mango lassi was ok, i guess. read more
