My son is autistic, and like any parent, I'm doing everything I can to help him feel included and comfortable in the world. Before starting, I made the staff aware of his needs. Instead of patience or understanding, what we experienced was the complete opposite. The instructors displayed unprofessional and hurtful behavior--making uncomfortable looks, using hand gestures to signal him to go away, and essentially excluding him rather than supporting him. No child should ever be made to feel like they don't belong--especially in a place that's supposed to encourage growth and confidence. Watching this happen to my son was devastating. I understand that not every instructor is trained to work with children who have different needs--but that is exactly why proper training and awareness are so important. If you're going to work with young children, compassion, patience, and inclusivity should be the baseline. I share this so other parents are aware. Every child deserves kindness, respect, and a chance to participate without judgment. I hope this business takes this seriously and invests in educating their staff so no other child or parent has to go through this.

When our son turned 3, we initially enrolled him part-time to help him socialize and get comfortable around other children. Within just a few weeks, his English vocabulary grew tremendously. It was honestly amusing, and impressive, to hear him use new words we had never taught him while telling us about his day. He also became much more comfortable interacting with both children and adults. Although he is still naturally shy, he has come out of his shell significantly, and we eventually moved him to full-time care after seeing how much he was benefiting. As parents, we also really appreciated the level of communication Childtime provided. They send home a weekly menu so we know what meals and snacks are being served, and his teachers (shout out to Ms. Josephine and Ms. Stacy!) would regularly post updates and photos on the app of our son's day. Getting to see him participate in activities that aren't always possible at home (color runs, magician shows, dance parties) was one of our favorite parts of the experience. I'd also like to recognize Sonja, the director, who has always been courteous, accommodating, and honest. On multiple occasions, she went out of her way to point out a promotional discount, vacation options, as well as a corporate discount available through my employer. That level of transparency and willingness to help really stood out to us.
