Do not recommend. Dropped off a long sleeve and pants for dry cleaning with a week of time between drop off and pick up. Came to pick up closed with no notice, phone wasn't answering. Came the next day, closed again, waited 15 min for person to come back and my shirt wasn't pressed. And then the price for one shirt and pants is $27. Ridiculous Go to Commandos or Ranger Joes or anywhere else. read more

She's super nice and good work on cleanliness, but for a 20 dollar fee to re-pin your stuff wasn't the best job marksman and AA badge were crooked award and unit awards were too high and the bracket for my awards was different from the one I left at drop off. No gripes but check your stuff especially if it's for a board. read more

Awful experience my husband went here to have her resize a suit jacket and she ruined the jacket. First, she told us a date it would be completed and when we went to pick up, she said it wasn't done yet lol. Why wouldn't she call us to let us know? Unprofessional. So he went back the next day and she gave it back to us without being dry cleaned and with the worst stitch work I've ever seen. After she berated my husband for buying a "bad quality" coat she didn't even offer to refund him. There is extra fabric everywhere it was wrinkled like it was balled up in a corner and the stitches are crooked and unfinished. THIS SERVICE WAS 80 dollars!! She clearly doesn't know what she's doing and rushed it terribly. read more

Thankfully I have not used this place but I know multiple people who have had holes put in their ASUs at this place or been charged for services that were not done/not needed. If you are looking for a tailor, look elsewhere. read more

This place is great!!! The woman who runs it is a curt, down-to-business Turkish woman. She works very hard, and in the multiple times I've gone to her to have different ball gowns and bridesmaid dresses altered I've always been beyond satisfied. I've got a weird body type and i never fit perfectly into the dresses I buy and she always does such a good job taking-in fabric and making the dress fit just right. She's a hard worker, is always sewing something at the front table and is very kind. I highly recommend using the tailor shop for any gowns, military needs or every day patching/sewing. She's got good prices, and loves to chat. read more

Terrible Shop. I walked in with a sew on order on Friday. Sewing on 4 patches costed $20 some how. When I showed up on Monday, she had not even started the sewing and I had to wait for her to sew the patches on. Never again. read more

WOW!!! Do NOT go here. TERRIBLE. I don't write many reviews, so when I do it is either really good or really bad. This was really BAD. I told the owner that I am from out of town, haven't worn my suit in quite a while, and needed it taken out. Fast. My Grandmother passed away so it was literally an emergency to get this done before her funeral the next day. The owner said she will do it, $40 "rush" fee. I would have paid $80. She then said ok come back in 4 hours. I will do it next. Well I have had suits taken in and out at men's warehouse, they do it in probably 15 minutes. However, men's warehouse was too busy today so 4 hours was ok. I went back to pick up my suit in 4 hours. She didn't even start working on it!! Mind you that I have to be at my grandmothers wake soon, so I sat there and waited. While waiting, the lady started discussing religion. Asking what religion my grandmother is and what religion I am. I replied catholic then she replied oh I thought you were Muslim. She then started talking about if I eat pork. I said that I do and that I love southern cooking. The lady said pork is the devil and will kill you. She became visibly upset over this. She said eating pork is why I can't fit in to my suit! She the. Asked what nationality I am. I said Italian. She began to speak about Italians trying to invade turkey but the Italians are too dumb so they are sending all their refugees to Italy now? She spoke of how dirty Italy is and the people are. After this awkward exchange. She bagged up my suit and I took it home. It is now night time, just returned home from my grandmothers wake and tried on my suit for tomorrow. This lady took my suit in. Not only did she take it in but she REALLY took it in, by quite a large amount. So much that the back of the suit looks pinched down the center. Even better... she didn't even see the seams closed!!! I can not even wear my suit for my grandmothers funeral tomorrow at 10am. I fly back tomorrow night to Chicago so I won't even have the opportunity to confront her. PLEASE HEAR MY WARNING AND DO NOT GO HERE. She is racist and can't sew worth a .... I will post pictures when I return home. The terrible quality of this place is sickening. read more

Took my ASUs here for set up. I am female and this was the first time I was setting up my ASUs. She did not set up the ASU on me so I had a slant in my nameplate and ribbons during graduation that was called out several times. Moreover, she dry cleaned it against my wishes and stapled a dry cleaning tag into the lining of my jacket - of a $600 suit. Completely unprofessional. Does not know what she's doing and cannot be trusted to set up or care for a uniform correctly. read more

Horrible service. Rude lady. I took my OCP top there to be taken in. SHE DID NOT EVEN TAKE MEASUREMENTS. SHE SAID SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE IS DOING. When I went to pick it up the first time, she had not even started workING on it. I went back the next day the top was so small I couldn't even button it up. She said she is going to correct it. I went back it was still a mess. The sleeves were noticeable too big and the body noticeably small. This time she refuse to do any more changes and refused refund. The reviews had me worried, but since it was so close to the post, I took the risk. She was a very nice lady so I'm surprised by some of the reviews. She also had my dress done the day she said and called me letting me know it was ready for pick up. She did a great job on it. No issues at all. I'd use her again. read more

Nice lady, I've gone there prior to retirement to have uniforms altered, and continue to go post retirement. I, like many men fail to try on my clothes when I buy off the rack, I've been in here 3 times to have pants hemmed while I waited in the restroom, she's always done the job while I waited. read more

Great shop!!! She's not only kind but a joy to talk to and hilarious! We took our jump boots there after "Combat Footgear" royally screwed them up and they came out perfect. I would highly recommend it to anyone. As far as the tailoring, I can only assume it's as good as their boot service. I will be going back there for sure read more

Horrible service. My husband went there to get his name sewn on his uniform and all they wanted to do was talk about personal topics. Wonderful experience with this tailor. With an upcoming party to attend my ASU's as well as my girlfriends had to be purchased and altered in the same day (we waited until the last minute..) We bought the ASU's from Clothing Sales and went immediately to the tailor. Once there, all the measurements were taken and she said I'll call you when I'm done.... She stayed 3 1/2 hours late, after she had closed and got us all taken care of. She even washed/ironed the white shirts and steamed the jackets and pants!!! This business has no integrity. Do yourself a favor and go any where else. I dropped off four suits to get taken in. When I went to pick them up, not one of them actually fit as they were skin tight to the point I couldn't even raise my arms. To make matters worse there was a hole in the pants of my brand new suit I delivered to her straight from the store with the tags still on. She refused to accept responsibility for the hole. Additionally She blamed me for the poor tailoring of jackets saying that my body must have changed despite having them for only a week. She did attempt to fix them but told me not to bother trying them on again because she didn't care if they fit...which they didn't. She was loud and combative and has little integrity. I have one suit ruined and still have to pay someone else to fix the other three jackets. Unbelievable. read more

I absolutely recommend NOT going to the Turkan Tailor Shop. While their Dry Cleaning service is fine, they completely messed up putting on my decorations onto my dress blues, which they charged $25 for alone. I had to go back three seperate times before I was eventually fed up and just took my blues as they were. Awards were not in the right order and my U.S. and branch insignia were not properly spaced and aligned. Every time I tried to explain how the employee should correct it, he did not listen and argued that he was right, even though he initially stated he had never seen the U.S. insignia before and did not know where to put them. I even went so far as to draw a diagram at one point, showing how each item should be placed, and the badges were still in the wrong order, let alone the spacing and alignment being off. On top of it, when I asked for a refund I was told that they do not give refunds and that I should leave. Do NOT take your business to them. read more
