Taiye is really awesome, and the work is so well done! He really listens when you have any issues with exact fit during a more complex alteration process. The timeliness and organization can cause some issues for clients and I'm sure extra crunch-time work on the tailors' part too. I had to make several visits, and I'm from out of town, to get told the item was not ready or it had to be altered more for a better fit. But I was so pleased with the outcome of the dress itself! Just make sure to plan ahead of when you need the item, and I'd suggest giving them a call to see if items are ready before driving up! Thank you for excellent work and dedication! read more

Taiye does amazing work! He listened to our concerns and wants and made it all come to life! I had my wedding dress altered, bustled and taken out at the waist. I was worried about the waist being taken out, but it turned out amazing! He is one of the sweetest souls I ever met! Thank you so much Taiye! Also, sewing is hard work, I was expecting it to be more expensive and it was reasonably and fairly priced! read more

He's the best! I travel over 35 miles for his service. My teenager son loves the way he alter his dress pants for Prom/Homecoming. Thanks for a wonderful experience for the last 3 years. read more

The service is impeccable and the staff is professional and courteous. I have been a customer for approximately 3 year.

I was in a crunch as the company my school used for graduation sent the wrong size gown and Taiye CAME THROUGH! I called on a Tuesday morning after I had no success of getting ahold of the company numerous times to see if they could correct their mistake. I was in a time crunch, panicking and needed it by Thursday night for my first ceremony. He saved the day! Quick turnaround and amazing quality work! Thank you so much!! We will be using Taiye Alterations for any alteration needs! My daughter might need her flower dress altered for a wedding in June and I know I where I will be going if that is the case! read more

Took my dress in for a factory error on the sleeve. his repair was flawless and I am extremely picky. I am going to try his hand at constructing a dress...looking at some of his work in the store...I have high expectations! read more

Quality work completed on time (early, in my case). All the staff here are very welcoming and professional. Will definitely be back if I need more tailoring in Columbus. They tailored my brand new Calvin Klein suit and it fits perfectly now. read more

Taiye's tailoring is fantastic. Only have positive things to say - great work, timing, and price. I first came here to tailor a dress for an Indian wedding. They've done last minute work for a friend, as well, and she was also happy with their work. Would definitely recommend! Also the owner and his employees are approachable and amiable. Highly recommend. read more

Taiye saved the day! After my custom wedding dress was not fitting right, I took it to him in a panic a week before my wedding g and he restructured the entire dress and gave me the dress of my dreams! He was never annoyed when I called to bug him multiple times and continued to let me come back in until he got it perfect. I can't thank him enough or recommend him enough for helping me! read more

Find business elsewhere. Unreliable on when items will be ready on the date and I picked them up few days after finished date still not ready and had 4 customers when I was there that did not have their items either, full of excuses, loses items, argues with customer about losing items and I had my ticket but he did not write missing items down, horrible parking, items were wrinkled and not at least pressed, all items were not in the same place but owner running around with like a chicken with his head cut off to find items so he was unorganized, my items came in clean but he tried to stuff them in used bags and not aware of COVID-19 because he wore NO MASK nor did his employees. read more

I had a dress hemmed for a military ball recently, and while they did a good job, I felt like it was overpriced. I paid upwards of $100 for a pretty simple alteration. I think I might search for a more affordable option next time. read more

I love this place. I've had formal dresses, casual dresses, pants, and shirts tailored here, and they always do a fantastic job for a reasonable price. They are always done with the alterations by the time promised when I dropped my clothes off-- sometimes earlier. I had an incident a few months ago with a formal dress that had a zipper that refused to zip up-- They replaced the zipper and stood there patiently with me trying to work the problem out for almost 20 minutes. I've had nothing but great experiences here and would highly recommend this place to anyone with any type of alterations needed. read more

Did great work but overcharged. Got a dress hemmed that just needed the outer layer shortened and it cost $48. the dress itself only cost $59 so I was very upset. Was told that he did a "factory quality hem" but this was not communicated to me until after the fact. dress was for a single event so I would have been happy with a lesser quality hem if I would have known that was an option. So great work and he's very proud of but be prepared to pay a lot. p.s. he only takes cash or check so come prepared. read more

First time using their services. Told me my sewing job would be ready on 21 Jan. They misread the ticket and thought it said 24 Jan. Won't be using their services again. read more

They did a great job on my four year old swim suit for pageant. Wanted it taken in to be taken back out nothing cut off of it and it was done neatly read more

Please avoid this tailoring and alteration shop - they are scammers!! I brought two dresses to this shop last Wednesday to be altered. I asked for an estimate on the day of the drop off, and I was told that someone would call me, and I never received a call. After that, I tried numerous times to contact a store rep or the owner to get an estimate, still no response. I arrive at the shop today to find out that my dresses are not ready and I have to leave out of town tonight. The store rep assured me that the dresses would be ready at 6:30 pm. I received a call shortly after leaving the shop stating that the cost is $280.00 - Really? I needed that information last week... This ignorant, non-business ass store owner tells me on the day of my pick up that the cost of my dresses are $280.00 and the dresses are not even ready. If you can have my dresses done in 2 hours, they could have been ready before today. What have you been doing for a whole week, holding my dresses hostage? Better yet, it appears that you were holding them until the last minute hoping to charge me more for last minute alterations...(SCAM). I feel like I have been held captive to do this business with this shop. My rights to find another alteration shop was taken away. I say all this to say that if you need something important done in a timely fashion, do not bring your clothing to this alteration and tailoring shop. read more

I have been going to Taiye for years and he is the best tailor I've ever used. I now live four hours away from Columbus but I am making the drive to take Taiye my wedding dress to have it altered because he is that good! He is very talented and can custom-make any and all types of clothing. Taiye's shop is pretty small and he gets lots of business, so he's always very busy. It usually takes several weeks to get your items back, unless you let him know you're in a rush. But his work is incredible and it is always worth the wait. His prices are extremely reasonable for the caliber of work he does. read more
