Taiye is really awesome, and the work is so well done! He really listens when you have any issues with exact fit during a more complex alteration process. The timeliness and organization can cause some issues for clients and I'm sure extra crunch-time work on the tailors' part too. I had to make several visits, and I'm from out of town, to get told the item was not ready or it had to be altered more for a better fit. But I was so pleased with the outcome of the dress itself! Unreliable on when items will be ready on the date and I picked them up few days after finished date still not ready and had 4 customers when I was there that did not have their items either, full of excuses, loses items, argues with customer about losing items and I had my ticket but he did not write missing items down, horrible parking, items were wrinkled and not at least pressed, all items were not in the same place but owner running around with like a chicken with his head cut off to find items so he was unorganized, my items came in clean but he tried to stuff them in used bags and not aware of COVID-19 because he wore NO MASK nor did his employees. read more

I love this place. I've had formal dresses, casual dresses, pants, and shirts tailored here, and they always do a fantastic job for a reasonable price. They are always done with the alterations by the time promised when I dropped my clothes off-- sometimes earlier. I had an incident a few months ago with a formal dress that had a zipper that refused to zip up-- They replaced the zipper and stood there patiently with me trying to work the problem out for almost 20 minutes. I've had nothing but great experiences here and would highly recommend this place to anyone with any type of alterations needed. read more

Did great work but overcharged. Got a dress hemmed that just needed the outer layer shortened and it cost $48. the dress itself only cost $59 so I was very upset. Was told that he did a "factory quality hem" but this was not communicated to me until after the fact. dress was for a single event so I would have been happy with a lesser quality hem if I would have known that was an option. So great work and he's very proud of but be prepared to pay a lot. p.s. he only takes cash or check so come prepared. read more

Please avoid this tailoring and alteration shop - they are scammers!! I brought two dresses to this shop last Wednesday to be altered. I asked for an estimate on the day of the drop off, and I was told that someone would call me, and I never received a call. After that, I tried numerous times to contact a store rep or the owner to get an estimate, still no response. I arrive at the shop today to find out that my dresses are not ready and I have to leave out of town tonight. The store rep assured me that the dresses would be ready at 6:30 pm. I received a call shortly after leaving the shop stating that the cost is $280.00 - Really? I needed that information last week... This ignorant, non-business ass store owner tells me on the day of my pick up that the cost of my dresses are $280.00 and the dresses are not even ready. If you can have my dresses done in 2 hours, they could have been ready before today. What have you been doing for a whole week, holding my dresses hostage? Better yet, it appears that you were holding them until the last minute hoping to charge me more for last minute alterations...(SCAM). I feel like I have been held captive to do this business with this shop. My rights to find another alteration shop was taken away. I say all this to say that if you need something important done in a timely fashion, do not bring your clothing to this alteration and tailoring shop. read more

I have been going to Taiye for years and he is the best tailor I've ever used. I now live four hours away from Columbus but I am making the drive to take Taiye my wedding dress to have it altered because he is that good! He is very talented and can custom-make any and all types of clothing. Taiye's shop is pretty small and he gets lots of business, so he's always very busy. It usually takes several weeks to get your items back, unless you let him know you're in a rush. But his work is incredible and it is always worth the wait. His prices are extremely reasonable for the caliber of work he does. read more
