BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! I went to this shop to get a zipper repaired and upon pick-up the zipper was zipped so I assumed it was fixed. I was in a rush and didn't think to test the zipper before leaving. Anyway, when I got home and unzipped the garment the zipper immediately fell off. So, I went back to the shop to request for a refund, but she refused and wanted to charge me more to fix the zipper. When I asked why I was charged she said for her service even though the garment was never fixed. She was very deceitful and had me to believe the garment was fixed since it was zipped upon arrival. She charged me full price for a service that was never completed and refused to fix it or offer a refund. read more

I went to this sew shop to get some rank sewn on on two uniforms. Maybe it's because I've been spoiled at other army bases but I was surprised that although she does same day alterations, she doesn't do on the spot sewing like most other places provide. I dropped off the uniforms at 1100 and it was ready for pickup at 1300. I have two major complaints with this shop. The first is that she charged me $15 to get two things sewn on. At any other place, I normally get charged $3 per item- I was shocked. Secondly, when I re-entered the shop to pick up my uniforms, two small dogs came charging out of the back and started barking at me and one of them even bit me. They were very small dogs so they couldn't have done too much damage to begin with but it still broke the skin. I was actually really annoyed. If you have hostile animals, you definitely shouldn't leave them unattended. And a sign would be nice to notify customers of the presence of dogs. I don't have any other reason to come back to Ft. Benning or the surrounding area, but if I ever did I will NEVER come back to this installation. Oh and from reading the reviews from today, it looks like the owner left her store unattended to watch the fire from the accident across the street. She was finding entertainment from the accident but wouldn't help those poor family members to simply park their cars there to tend to their loved ones. What a shame. read more

The owner is rude. Might as well go get the same stuff done with less rude service. There was a fire across the street and the owner refused to let the family of those involved in the fire park in the space to reach their family members. read more

From Kelly Gibbons ‼STORY TIME‼ Today my husband was driving home with my one year old son. He was getting off of the highway on airport when his axel snapped, front right tire popped, and car CAUGHT ON FIRE. He immediately got out of the car, grabbed my son, and ran to the side of the road. There were some very nice people that helped him out (thank you SO MUCH to the beautiful ladies that pulled over and let my husband and son get in their car until help arrived). My husband called me while I was at work to tell me what happened. I heard "car on fire. airport thruway". So naturally, I jump in my car and sped that way. I get on airport and I'm essentially just following the sound of sirens and the flashing lights that I can see. That's when I realize his car is actually on the off ramp and Im on the opposite side of the road. Frantically, I pull into the parking lot of H & K ALTERATIONS. I park my car and get out. There's about 5 people standing outside gawking at my nightmare happening across the street. I ask one of the ladies outside if she is the owner and she says yes. So I then tell her "that's my husband and my baby across the street can I please leave my car here". I am clearly scared to death and bawling my eyes out. THE OWNER HAD THE NERVE TO TELL ME NO. She told me I definitely could not park my car there as it is for customers only. I told her again that that was my husband and baby across the street and she told me that she didn't care. It's Saturday and she has customers. So I got back in my car and left to find somewhere else to park (I still haven't spotted my husband or child at this point. Still freaking out.) My mother in law did the same thing. She went there and spoke with the owner. She told her how incredibly selfish it was of her to do that. The owner told her that I was being over dramatic and the fire was already put out and then told my mother in law to go to hell and get off of her property. Now. Long story short, this woman is probably the most selfish business owner I have ever encountered. I do understand that they have limited parking. BUT GIVE ME A BREAK. The two most important people in my life were across the street from from her business and I had no idea how bad the situation actually was and I wasn't going to know until I could park my car somewhere and run the rest of the way to them. She flat out denied me use of one of her spots because I wasn't a customer of hers. **EDIT: if anyone knows the two ladies that stopped and let my family stay in their car PLEASE send them my way. We feel as though we did not thank them enough** **UPDATE: the owner of ArchAngel Tattoo (in the same shopping center area) has reached out to me via Facebook messenger to check on my family. I thought it was very thoughtful and professional! Just thought you guys might like to know this isn't a "one bad apple" situation. I went to H&K 1 hour before they were about to close with a huge booboo that I needed to have fixed by noon the next day. Because of the way the dress was made she was unsure that she could do it but said she would try but it wouldn't be done by noon. Because I was so desperate I agreed. Not only did she do an AWESOME job with my dress alteration she had it done BEFORE noon! Thank you so much. If I am ever in your area again and need alterations I will definitely come straight to H&K. read more

She was quick and attentive and her work is high quality. I brought my bridesmaid dress for alterations and a hem and she did a great job at a reasonable price. Less expensive and more concise than other places I've been to in the area. read more

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!! We took five dresses of our bridal party's garments to them on September 7th. We advised them on September 7th that we needed them back on October 13th (which was written on our receipt). When we went in on October 13th we were told we would have to come back on October 25th. Hesitantly we agreed. On October 25th there was a sign on the door that stated they were closed until October 31st. Our wedding was on November 5th. At this point we are frantic and trying to locate a phone number for the business owner to find out when our items will be ready and when we can pick them up. Finally we reach her only to be yelled and cursed at because she had a family emergency that caused her to have to leave town. To say that we were appalled would be an understatement. She told us that we could pick the items up on October 31st. They items were ready but she charged us an unbelievable amount of money considering the circumstances.
