Quarterly service done by Austen who is always knowledgeable, friendly and professionalread more

I'm saddened to write this review, but here we are. When we first signed up with Kingsfish pest,…read morethe deciding factor for choosing them over Turner Pest control was that (we were told) they would come spray as many times as we requested, in between regular quarterly services, as well as change out the glue traps for us when they were on the premises. And so they did for the duration of our contract. We had zero complaints until our technician was recently promoted and we were assigned someone else. This new tech would come spray our house, not change out the traps, and leave before even knocking on our front door. After a couple of times of this, I called in and requested that someone speak with our tech and ask him to knock on the door so we knew he was there, as well as have him change out the glue traps. The third time he came, he still didn't let us know he was there or change out the glue traps. I called the owner again and requested a new tech. I explained the situation and verbatim said, "To be honest, changing the glue traps really freaks us out. It would be great if we could get a tech to do it while he's here." The owner completely understood and said he would assign us one of his best techs. Fast forward to today, I had previously called in for an in-between service spray because we found a live scorpion in our living room (my husband almost stepped on it barefoot). On the phone I mentioned there was also a scarlett kingsnake that was on our glue trap in the garage, so if he could also change that out when he arrived, I'd appreciate it. When the tech arrived, he said he wanted to speak with me. He explained (in a manner less than cordial) that I had been calling in more than a usual customer would; that techs didn't usually make trips out just to change glue traps. I reminded him that we had actually found a scorpion inside and that I didn't just call for the glue trap but for him to spray. He said that it was normal to see bugs inside the house and that if he continued to spray as often as he was currently spraying our exterior, that he would kill the plants. He also reiterated that he wan't responsible for changing out the glue traps- that he could give me glue traps and I could change them on my own. I told him I understood and that he was free to leave without spraying or changing the traps. I also mentioned that this conversation could have just been a phone call instead of him driving out and me re-arranging my schedule to meet him for nothing. While I understand what the tech was trying to explain, the whole purpose of us paying for their services is to not see bugs in the house. I do feel like I was promised one thing on the phone and got something entirely different. I miss our old tech. Guess I'll give Turner a try.

Yes- they canvas neighborhoods. Yes- they are in sales. I opted in because I had very recently…read morefound sugar ants in the guest bathroom and one of the bedrooms and was deathly afraid of them making it to the kitchen. I mentioned that my dad uses another company and they dropped the monthly fee- so beware, there is room to negotiate. I also refused to sign a 1 or 2 year contract. 6 months- to try and also to look around and ask dad how much he pays. So- the very first tech they sent within 30 minutes of me signing up with the salesman was great. He knew what he was doing and I trusted him in my home. I asked if he would be my service man for the duration and he told me to request him. Yeah- I tried that the very next service date that was scheduled to no avail. I even told the next guy I wanted him and he said he would note it to the scheduler. I am 6 visits in all with completely different people. I have one more left in my contract and I will be cancelling. I like consistency. One of the scheduled days was rainy- aka- they couldn't really preform the service and I had to request the come out again because they never rescheduled a follow up to complete the service- even though that service tech said he would make sure they scheduled a follow up. Dealing with too many different faces and calling them is a joke, I am just a fee- not a person. Also- there are scheduling changes that sometimes happen after your service tech no shows. I get weather and/or having a longer service at another home- but communication is always key in any business. Ezequias was the one tech I really liked. I didn't meet half the other ones because they came while I was at work. He also trained 2 of the other techs I met and talked to. And yes- there is an early cancellation fee and that first tech went over everything in the contract with me to make sure I understood everything.

I've had bugout yard service since 1998 in the last several…read moreyears they have gotten very bad at what they do. my lawn always looked great but it had gotten so bad that most of my front yard is dead. Not because of the winter like they told me but because it wasnt treated properly like it had been for years. so I am left with the expense of have to sod or seed my yard. Had a manager come take a look and bottom line is really nothing they will do besides keep trying what they have been doing. very disappointed. actually said that it should cost me more for the service I'm getting. hahaha!!!

I signed a contract with Bugout on 9-10-2026 to treat my lawn after I discovered sod web worms…read moreembedded in the new sod I had laid three weeks earlier. After the salesman wrote up the contract using his IPAD he had me electronically sign it and stated that I would receive a copy via email over the next three hours. He never went over the terms of the contract with me. Once I received the contract in my email I reviewed it and discovered the contract had several errors that were not checked. One of the most key treatments that was not checked was insect control. I immediately called the salesman back and told him what errors I found with the contract and to reissue me another contract with the corrections made. He advised me that the lawn treatment technician once he comes out to service my lawn would be the one that would update the contract. I realize at that point that this salesman was simply running a con game. I contacted Bugout customer service and explained the errors I found with the contract and asked that a new contract be iniated. The customer service representative advised me that they were sending a message to the local manager in Jacksonville to get the issue resolved. That call never came and after contacting Bugout customer service a couple of more times as a follow up with no attempt from the manager to even try to resolve my contract issue I made the decision on 9-11-2026 to cancel my contract with Bugout. Beware of this company trying to scam customers into paying additional money for basic monthly service. The salesman intentionally left the boxes unchecked for that reason. I WILL NEVER CONTACT THIS COMPANY AGAIN TO DO ANY TYPE OF SERVICE TO MY LAWN OR HOME. POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS BEWARE AND READ ALL THE REVIEWS BEFORE SIGNING A CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY.
