Yes- they canvas neighborhoods. Yes- they are in sales. I opted in because I had very recently found sugar ants in the guest bathroom and one of the bedrooms and was deathly afraid of them making it to the kitchen. I mentioned that my dad uses another company and they dropped the monthly fee- so beware, there is room to negotiate. I also refused to sign a 1 or 2 year contract. 6 months- to try and also to look around and ask dad how much he pays. So- the very first tech they sent within 30 minutes of me signing up with the salesman was great. He knew what he was doing and I trusted him in my home. I asked if he would be my service man for the duration and he told me to request him. Yeah- I tried that the very next service date that was scheduled to no avail. I even told the next guy I wanted him and he said he would note it to the scheduler. I am 6 visits in all with completely different people. I have one more left in my contract and I will be cancelling. I like consistency. One of the scheduled days was rainy- aka- they couldn't really preform the service and I had to request the come out again because they never rescheduled a follow up to complete the service- even though that service tech said he would make sure they scheduled a follow up. Dealing with too many different faces and calling them is a joke, I am just a fee- not a person. Also- there are scheduling changes that sometimes happen after your service tech no shows. I get weather and/or having a longer service at another home- but communication is always key in any business. Ezequias was the one tech I really liked. I didn't meet half the other ones because they came while I was at work. He also trained 2 of the other techs I met and talked to. And yes- there is an early cancellation fee and that first tech went over everything in the contract with me to make sure I understood everything. read more

Was supposed to have someone come for the first service. Said they were on the way. 30 minutes later we messaged them and they said they cancelled because they couldn't get through our gate. Didn't attempt to call us or message us for help with the gate. They just gave up and left. When we called the guy wanted to blame us for him not taking the initiative to call and ask to be let in the gate... We are a no solicitor neighborhood and the sales woman was ringing our door bell and knocking at 9:15 pm. That is unacceptable and when I told the sales girl she just laughed. I told her I would never use a company who was so rude to disrupt people late at night and to leave our neighborhood at once. She continued to go to neighbors homes. Unfortunately, I now understand why all the reviews say what they say. Tried to simply cancel today which should've been an easy phone call. Understand they don't want you to cancel and will try to keep you, but this guy would not give up. I said multiple times I did not want to transfer our service and he kept on. I finally had to be ugly about it because he would just not stop. I should not have to say "no, I do not want to transfer please just cancel" 6 times and then have to get stern for him to listen. These guys suck. Given them since July 2025. Repeatedly asked to have them call, so someone can be home, to let them in the house. They do not call. They come when no one is home, claim to walk around the house, spray a little on the foundation and do nothing about the bugs inside. The leave after a few minutes. This last visit, 11-10-2025, my wife just happened to be home. She spoke to them outside and asked when they finished up out there to come in the house. They said they would but instead packed up and left after a few minutes- names were Jonathan & Dejanelle. We have roaches, sugar ants and silver fish. A lot more than when I was treating the house myself. Not entirely true, the ants have diminished but still a problem. Terrible communication, terrible coordination. I've called the office at least 3 times, maybe 4, the last few months (including yesterday) and been told someone will return to the house when we're home to do the inside- it's never happened. I currently (and still do) have Orkin as my pest control company. A representative from Aptive came to my house and talked me into signing a 24-month contract, although he didn't tell me it was 24-months until AFTER I signed it. The service didn't even include termite service, so I would be giving up my termite bond. The cost is over $100 a month, and I'm currently only paying $175 each QUARTER with Orkin, and the Aptive rep said they do more than Orkin, which they don't. They do less. I called to cancel my Aptive account, and the agent (Indian, of course) offered me $26 a month and he would drop it down to 12 months! So WHY didn't they make me that offer at the door? Since the three day grace period was over, I had to pay $199 to cancel, but every penny of that was worth it! They're a sleazy company with slick, pushy sale reps, and their customer service is based in India. Even having to pay the early cancellation fee, I really I dodged a bullet here! read more

I just spent 30 min on the phone attempting to cancel. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. First, call centers are all foreign based and difficult to work with. Second, they are attempting to not honor our written cancellation agreement. Third, the services are subpar. We still have live insects inside our brand new home. Did it again! Sent us a message stating Aptive would come on Friday May 9 to do its service (Inc in-house). We remained @ home but the tech didn't come. No tech visit/no communication telling us tech wouldn't come. Sent online message asking y but only got a new appt date and that tech was busy and sorry for the "inconvenience". Inconvenience? Wasting all day @ home? Called for further clarity -- rep said she can't do anything and that someone will call us later. Completely rebuffed. Wasted 20 min call. I was very disappointed with Aptive Environmental Pest Control. I had a different service person each time over the past year. I had signed up for 4 times a year and then continued to have scheduling issues with the system scheduling me every two months, so I had to keep calling back to the office to get corrected. None of the service persons had a checklist of the items they were suppose to service on each visit, such as clear cob webs around doors, windows, gutters, etc. I was never provided one. This last visit cob webs were just cleared by the front door and garage windows and no where else. When they sprayed and put the granules down, they did not put next to the house, but by the landscape concrete curbing. I would not recommend Aptive Environmental for your Pest Control needs. All I wanted to know is why they left a lawn sign on a lawn that doesn't use their service and why my lawn has pieces of fertilizer and some brown spots. And no one will answer. read more

Terrible customer service, and terrible company! I have tried canceling with them multiple times but when i get on the line with a representative, they send me to the cancellation department which just goes straight to voicemail. Not only that, they did not honor their contract. I was with Ridd pest control before they bought my contract without me knowing. I didn't have a service done for months then out of nowhere i got hit with 3 late payments. Even though i signed a contract stating, if i had a balance overdue past 60 days it would be sent to collections and my service would be canceled. Now they are still trying to service me and charge me. if i could give less than one star i would, They don't even deserve a full star. read more

Even the Better Business Bureau "Revoked" their membership! I can't say they didn't do a good job, but we do see the occasional cockroach and spiders, lots of spiders. They are about triple the cost of others in the area, that have excellent reputations, and if they cancel an appointment on you at the last minute you have no recourse. If you need to cancel or reschedule, they either will not accommodate you or you will be charged an additional fee. I cancelled my service and will find a better service. Although every person that came out to service our home was friendly and professional, this company is just bad. We signed a 2 year contract in 2022, sometime after they updated their policy making it so there was less time between services, increasing our costs, AND we were not informed of this change in policy. It took me calling and moving appts for a year to find out why. I learned a few months ago that Aptiv Environmental had been in trouble with the better business bureau for basically lying to customers, saying they were using certain products when in reality they were using different products. Additionally, we still had bugs outside all the time including everything they "treated for": wasps, slugs, spiders. Just no to this service. And to those great people working here-go somewhere else. Do. Not. Sign. Up. For. This. I got on the phone with someone over a month ago trying to tell them i only signed a year contract but someone came after my last service trying to service. I was told it was cancelled but got ANOTHER TEXT this week about a scheduled service?!?! Everytime i call im told im the 140th person in line to talk to someone?! Not sure if thats real or not, ive left voicemails, sent emails etc and no response. So im basically forced to keep rescheduling until i get someone on the phone. The contact i signed was for 4 treatments, 3 months apart. 1 year. And they tried to come sometimes after only a month since the last spray? SCAM. Avoid this company at all cost!!! They write their contract in the way that waives most of your consumer rights. In addition, they don't follow their contact. I have signed up for this service to get rid of pest that were destroying my lawn, and specifically told them what I need when I sighed the contract. After three months of treatments I noticed no improvement, there were still multiple ant nest throughout the lawn and spots of dying lawn from grabs. So, I brought it to their (Aptive) attention that their treatments are not working, to what they reply that during next treatment they will use different chemicals and I should see an improvement. Another month went by with a new chemicals and still no improvement, so called again and expressed my concerns and received same thing as the first time that different stuff will be used. Well, at this point I thought maybe third time is the charm, but unfortunately nothing had changed. I canceled the services and had to pay penalty for early cancellation for service that didn't even worked. Be ware, their contract says re-treatments are at no charge, that is a lie! read more

Was hoping to trust a bug company when they have someone come to your door and convince you how great they are. Paid way too much for ok service. Someone new every time I had an appointment and by the last person who had to have been new with no recommendations on how to treat a bug problem I had, I decided to cancel my services. There was a catch, I was under the impression by the solicitor that came to my house that after a year I can cancel with no fee. When I called and talked to someone they told me the contract was for 2 years, not 1. Now I am forced to pay a $199 termination fee which is absolutely ridiculous but I'd rather pay that and cut ties with them then continue to pay them for not great service. Definitely would recommend picking another pest control service before you end up paying an absurd amount of money to this company! read more

I had Orkin for over a year and had no issues with bugs but ever since I switched to this company I have been seeing bugs in my house and all over my yard. On top of there company not treating my pest problems they can't get my account correct as they always say I have a balance even after I pay my bill. I do not recommend them especially if you live in Florida. Go with a company that is established and knows how to do pest control in Florida. Oh and if you try and cancel there terrible service they try and charge you $400. read more

I had Aptive pest control for 3 months and I would never recommend them to anyone. The representative never told me that if I cancelled my account early there would be a $199 early cancelation fee. Also when the technician came out I asked him to spray the spiders on my patio and clean the webs off the roof, which was never done. I called the office and complained and they told me if they did not do their job they would come back out and fix it. I was paying $119, I shouldn't have to check behind anyone and call to have someone come back out. It should be done at the beginning. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone.
