Okay, let me preface this by saying I've worked in face to face customer service for 10 years. I very rarely leave a bad review but the vibes were off from the beginning.. the person who assisted us at the front desk/ bar had a horrendous attitude and you could feel the bad vibes coming off her immediately, I come here with my BF all the time and never had a bad experience until now... usually we walk in and are helped they ask if we both want drinks but not this time. She only offers my bf a drink but nothing to me goes back to her computer and he asks about another drink for me, she seems very annoyed. I wait for her to finish with other people and make phone calls and help other people that's fine I get that I'm not the only person in the world. After my bf gets in the chair she looks at me and asks if he wants another beer and I said no thank you I would like a vodka cranberry, she rolls her eyes and huffs. I get my drink and realize he finished his beer, I ask if she needs the coozie back and she said yeah if you don't want it (I didn't know I could take it). I take his trash and throw it away, I thank her for my drink and walk away. I'm irritated bc I don't treat people like that no matter how bad my day is. I'm irritated bc she didn't need to have the attitude at all. This is after the appointment was delayed due to the original stylist being sick, we weren't upset at all bc both of us understand that but to not even apologize plus acting like we (specifically I) was an inconvenience was just a lot. This in no way reflects on the stylists and other people who have helped us here. Just this one particular person who I'm assuming is a member of management. read more

My barber was Xiomara, and she was the best! Knew exactly what I wanted right away. Not only was she quick and neat, she was extremely professional. Didn't constantly try to spark up awkward conversations, etc. I will always recommend this establishment and her. read more

I am giving this location a 5 star review primarily due to KD being at this location now. She has been cutting my hair since October 2018 and recently changed locations. I have followed! Her other location was within walking distance to my house and this new location is about 15 to 20 minutes' drive. Her hair cuts are worth the drive. Go in and ask for KD! Also, I found the staff here very fun, accommodating and polite. They all seem to really enjoy being there and serving customers. read more

After trying out the different men's hair salons in the woodlands and finding the haircuts to be subpar at great clips, the wait too long at sports clips, and the cost too high at the boardroom, I figured Tune up might be the best compromise. At first glance the shop is pretty cool with a bar to sit at rather than a traditional waiting area. They offer free beer or simple mixed drinks (limit of 2) and a basic hair cut costs $25 and includes a wash. Everyone was pretty friendly and my haircut did turn out well. My biggest complaint and reason for subtracting a star (and almost a second) is the wait times. There was only one person waiting when I showed up but I got pushed back twice by VIP customers (you can pay $120/month to get unlimited haircuts and skip the line) and waited apx 1 hour before they started my haircut (and I was there at 4pm on a Thursday). I understand the system but this is a relatively new store... once they get more VIPs I imagine wait times will become even more unpredictable. Maybe checking in on the app reduces your wait time...although I imagine VIPs will always get bumped first. I also am a little disappointed that a little after I left I saw on Facebook they have a $5 off coupon for that day only. Would have been nice if someone told me about that while I was waiting an hour for my haircut. The girl who posted the coupon was the one working behind the bar yet she never said anything. As a first time customer that kind of rubbed me the wrong way. If I could give half stars I'd give 3.5 but I'll give it 4 due to the lady who cut my hair being very friendly and doing a good job. I'll probably give this one more chance before trying a new location or place entirely. read more

I guess if you're the kind of man that is so insecure that you have to pay women to bat their eyes at you and giggle at your dumb jokes or make you feel all macho, then this over-priced place is where you should go. Between the frat-boy emphasis on booze, the services on their rate card that they snicker at if you ask for (pedicure and ear waxing), and the very expensive and elitist membership they offer, this is a blast out of some twenty-something's wet dream. If you must degrade yourself by going here, at least ask for Rose Mary, the only stylist in the place with any class or skill. read more

Set up an appointment, was urged to get there quickly by staff, once I arrived at the salon, come to find out that I'm not with the first available stylist I'm with someone who already has someone in the chair and another in line for them in front of me. Meanwhile the 4 other stylists are open waiting for their next appointment. Tried waiting a bit but it was just a waste of time. Very unprofessional to "set up an appointment" knowing that the stylist is behind. Will not be returning. read more

Very poorly run location. They have a loose "call ahead" system which is the worst of both worlds compared to appointments or a "first come first served" rule. I waited over an hour past when they said I would be seen while one of the hairdressers took 90 mins with a customer and then slowly cleaned up while gossiping on the phone. The place is run down with a gross roof leak drenching one of the hallways. And overall the haircuts are stupidly overpriced, a few lame drinks don't make up for that.
