I did, but I should not have. boat motor they sold us was inoperable weeks after the purchase. Spent time in the shop summer '24, all spring of '25. they insisted they were doing us a favor and put a 14 year old motor on our boat for another $2500. That motor worked temporarily but now that i brought it to a real mechanic after issues, he informed me the computer in the motor is shot and thats why the issues exist. So they sold me a second garbage motor and told us they were doing us a favor. Over 2 grand in repairs a year after they did the work.

I had been putting off purchasing new tires for our van, but with 2 balding front tires and now a bad rear tire, we had to bite the bullet and get a new set. AAA recommended Jensen Tire and Auto in Trumbull. I live literally 2 minutes from this location and had never once thought about stopping there. I always buy tires from Town Fair. I called Jensen's and spoke to Eddie Jensen on the phone. I explained my dilemma to him about having to leave for vacation and need work done as fast as possible. Not expecting much, Eddie told me he'd call me back in a few minutes with a price after he checked his stock. Two minutes later he calls me back and says he has Firestone tires in stock and can have him at the store in 10 minutes. He also quoted me a price of $640 for the 4 tires, mounted, balanced and a 4 wheel alignment. He said I'd have my car all set by 10:30 am. It was after 8 am when I called him. Being a Town Fair guy i went to the Bridgeport location. They offered me a set of "El Dorado" tires for over $850 installed. I had never heard of El Dorado tires before. They told me they could get whatever brand tires I wanted but I would have to wait and they would be more than the El Dorado's. I told them what I could pay at Jensen's for a brand that I knew of (Firestone) and they just laughed and said "yeah but you won't get the warranty and the free rotations, etc from Jensen's) I called Eddie back up and said I was on my way! I dropped the car off and was planning on waiting, but Eddie offered me a loaner car and said go home and get ready for your trip. Who gives you a loaner car for tires???? At 10:20 he called and said my car was ready. I picked it up and Eddie explained the road hazard warranty to me along with extra copies of the paperwork. Eddie also said I would get free rotations every 6k miles. Take that Town Fair! I am so glad I made that call to Jensen's Tire and Auto! Eddie couldn't have been nicer to me in my time of need! They have a new customer in me!

The staff from top to bottom are really nice people trying to do he best they can. My boat is not the poster child of perfection, but, staff have always treated me fairly and gotten the job done. Yes, some bills set high, but others set low -- it all averages out. Finally, all work, at least for me, has been first rate. To me THAT is what is important. If you want to save $$ do it yourself. He promised to send the service records but when my wife called the main office to see about servicing the engine for shipping, the sales guy called back and went off on her. She was supper upset and crying after the call. I was just trying to buy a motor. No need to make my wife cry. Probably lucky that we did not buy the motor. Jonas, I just saw…read moreyour reply to my review. It only proves that you will not accept any responsibility for your mistakes/actions. As you stated, I was a customer for 10 years. In that time, I purchased a used motor (lasted less than 1 year), then a rebuilt (lasted less than 1 year) then a new motor (still in use). I also had you do thousands of dollars of other repairs and maintenance. I did hit a rock and brought the boat to you. The damage was cosmetic. I used the boat for 4 months after hitting it with no problems. As discussed, I brought it to you off-season so you could fix the cosmetic damage (weld on a new skeg). The first time I used it after your "repair", the lower unit failed (quite a coincidence) - most likely as the result of having no gear lube in it. Only you would blame an incident that happened a year earlier rather than the work that was done (by you) on the failed component (lower unit) only days earlier. Regarding your reputation...don't kid yourself. The word is out. Tony
