Seating was pretty prompt, and a menu was provided - I ordered: +2 rolls of California maki rolls +and, a Chicken Karaage The rolls were well-made, although the lettuce threw me off; it was fresh, and the avocado was perfectly ripened! The karaage, on the other hand, was way too large for me, so it did freak me out; the spicy mayo sauce that it was served with did complement the chicken well. I just wished they used white meat cut into small pieces, as they were all dark. Service was a bit of a miss - it was difficult getting drink refills and getting the check to pay. Good enough for a night out. Good atmosphere and the servers were friendly and on point. Food is of the level you'd expect for a chic non traditional sushi spot trying to be stylish. Sides and starters were very eclectic and varied. Sushi was the biggest letdown but not bad by any stretch. Take a date or out of towner here and everyone will do just fine. I visited Tuna Bar after hearing so many recommendations, and I absolutely loved it. The interior is stunning-- very elegant, with a really beautiful atmosphere. The servers were also very kind and attentive, which made the experience even better. My favorite roll was the Liberty Roll. It's made with seared salmon and was incredibly delicious, packed with flavor. My friend really enjoyed the spicy scallop maki, and I liked it too. It tasted fresh and clean with a nice subtle kick at the end. My friend ordered the fried rice as well, and it smelled amazing when it came out and she really enjoyed it. Went around 2:00 on a Saturday and were seated immediately. Service was fast and friendly. The ambiance was definitely nicer, but I felt comfortable in jeans for lunch. The food was absolutely perfect. We shared the creamy rock shrimp, spicy tuna crispy rice, and each picked a special maki. I had the "Liberty" and my friend had the "Rittenhouse." These were big enough to be a dinner on their own, so we struggled to finish them after our appetizers. But, they were both so delicious, we had to eat every last piece. Loved the dinner we had here! The space is really cool, it was about to rain so we chose to sit inside, but they had a lot of outdoor which I thought was really cool! They have a great drink list, I got the Lycheetini which was refreshing and delicious! My friends and I got a few plates to share like the glazed Brussel sprouts, ginger salad, and vegetable fried rice! They also got the gyoza, but as a vegetarian I did not try those, my friends said they were great though. We also each got at roll, I got the Japanese Sweet Potato Roll, the flavor was good but it was super dry so a little hard to eat, I think more sauce or some spicy mayo may have helped. Everything was fantastic and the quality of fish was top notch. The rock shrimp and wagyu spring rolls were the standouts until the Liberty Roll came and flipped the game on its head. The Liberty Roll came to PLAY. My taste buds had never experienced anything like it: Spicy crab & cucumber topped with torched salmon, spicy aioli, and some rice pearls. It melted in your mouth. It made you feel things you hadn't felt in years..
