I booked Golden Grip Gymnastics about six weeks before my son's 3rd birthday. They were so much cheaper than everywhere else in the area, but my husband and I checked out the gym when we put down the deposit so I felt confident that the kids would at least have fun if nothing else! I had planned to bring my own cake and have pizza delivered, and although GGG provides tablecloths, plates, napkins, etc., I brought my own because I wanted everything to follow the theme of the party. We had the whole huge gym to ourselves. The gymnastics area was a BLAST for the kids (especially the foam pit), and then Corbyn led a group dancing game and we took photos of all the kids together (a great idea and something I never would have thought of to do!). The GGG team took care of setting up, handling the kids, handing out pizza and cake, and cleaning up. Corbyn set everything up on the tables, but was totally cool with me rearranging some things in order to make room for the pizza.  My review is not doing justice to the amount of hard work the GGG team put in and how much fun the kids had. I could not give a stronger recommendation for Golden Grip as a birthday party venue. Such a great experience, and depending on my son's interests next year, we'll probably plan to be back!

Run by a former Olympian, she taught her the basics and seemed to break it all down in a way my niece would understand. I had the privilege to observe a couple of classes in a great holding area for the parents and visitors. They have all the equipment you'd expect in a world-class gymnastics space, I almost wanted to go out there and do some of it myself but couldn't upstage those starry-eyed kids! As I understand it they also train the older kids who are Olympic hopefuls and have garnered some major awards in the various competitions across the state. One of the instructors is a old white woman(either Ariana or Michelle,idk which one is which) who just sat on her butt the whole time yelling at them from across the obstacle course , the kids would get lost and confused not knowing what to do next , including my daughter which it was her first time btw, and all she would do is yell and check her phone, never explaining anything to the 4 year olds. When the kids were lining up, she than snapped at my daughter when she accidentally was going to cut in line, instead of speaking to her like she is a 4 yo who doesn't know better, the instructor looked up at me really quick too when she caught herself because she knew she could've said it differently, if you don't know how to work with kids than find something else to do. To top it all off at the end of the class the other instructor which is a Hispanic lady(either Ariana or Michelle) calls all the kids together in a group, brings out a big bowl of candy, and says "hmmm the best listener today was "blank", and only allowed ONE child to get a candy while the others all just accepted it and walked away, so she called all of the kids over there basically to rub it in there face because that's the way 4 YEAR OLDS are going to take it , how can they be a good listener when no one even told them what to do to begin with . My suggestion..Get younger more fun instructors who are going to have fun with the kids and make a game out of it, not 2 old lady's who just sit and yell acting like their running a boot camp and who don't even know how to talk or treat children ...ridiculous.

One of the selling points for the birthday party is they teach the children a cheer and later the children perform the cheer for the parents at the party-finale (it sounds so dramatic calling it a finale, huh?). I suppose that is due to the limited time they have to teach them so perhaps my expectations were a bit high. Also, beware the parties run back to back and right alongside of some 1-1 cheer instruction (the students and instructors stay out of the way of the party). While I was hanging out with the parents during the party, we were able to watch some of the gymnastics students in their 1-1 instruction - wow. The students there seem very talented and focused and they had many awards hanging on the ceiling as well. I worked for this company for roughly two months (franchise Dfw Metro Amazing Athletes) , I was…read morepromised an Admin position that would be comprable to my previous salary, in "the future" - during the duration of these two months I put over 750 miles on my vehicle, spent $100 on tolls, worked roughly 28 hours and I was compensated $347 (this comes out to $12.30/ hour (I was promised $15 - $25/hour) - not including gas and mileage payments) for it all. Lastly , I was not compensated for the final events of work ( I was guaranteed in an email that I would be paid 5 days after I resigned) due to my resignation because of false promises made in my interview. Another situation that made me very uncomfortable is when I was asked to be dishonest with a Director about having a Covid-19 Vaccine. I do not have the vaccine and the school I was assigned to required all staff to have the vaccine, before we were allowed to be around children. I was told, by Thomas and Patrick to be dishonest by so that "we" Amazing Athletes , could "get paid". The end result was I did not receive compensation for times worked plus mileage and I received various unprofessional text messages and emails from both Thomas and Patrick because I did not want to work the last Friday due to the distance and fact that I had already been promised compensation and it was never paid to me. I will say I enjoyed the kids !! They kept me there for as long as I was - as a godparent I don't feel comfortable knowing that these two men are willing to lie , and go against a schools requirement , to make money. I would be upset if my child was at a facility where I thought everyone was vaccinated and I found out that an adult was dishonest and put my child's health at risk, for money. If I had my own school , these men would not be asked to return.
