Small studio with three rooms to cater to the size of the classes. One wall covered in glass so you can refine any new movements and let those creative juices flow. Just $10 a class!!! (Or you can save money with one of their packages: 4 classes for $35 10 classes for $60 20 classes for $100) Only down fall of the studio... limited storage (so bring the bare essentials) and the rooms can get extremely hot. But it's a little sexy to be sweating up a storm in a dance studio with wide windows into the parking lot. It's kinda cool to watch people walk pass and then do a U-Turn to check what's really going on in the room! There is also ballet for younger children and hip hop. Not sure when either classes start or end. Little girls in tutus are twirling away before I get to class and somewhere in the middle I start hearing hip hop from the adjoining rooms.

Antonio showed me around the dance studio. It was clean, nicely decorated and I loved the disco balls hanging off the ceiling! The rest of our group joined us and we began our lesson! The first dance Antonio taught us was Bachata! Antonio explained it so well and we had sooo much fun following along! The next dance was Salsa. We started off slow then picked up some speed to go with the music. We took a break because boy! I felt like I had just done cardio LOL Our group took some beautiful pictures by the Christmas Tree. We finished it off with an awesome group dance! My friends and I had an amazing evening and WE CAN NOT wait to return! You are one super cool Ballroom dancer, Antonio!!!

I'm pretty decent, but super out of practice. Hubby on the other hand, grew up in a community straight out of the movie Footloose- ultra conservative Christian with no TV, no music, no dancing. He was permitted to play drums in symphony, but that was the limit of his musical upbringing, and he's NEVER been a dancer. That is changing. My fat ass needs to get back into shape and he needs to improve his cardio function. I HATE going to the gym and dance is my favorite form of exercise, so I purchased an introductory Groupon that includes 3 private lessons 1 group lesson and 1 dance party. We had our first lesson yesterday, and I have to give props to our instructor, Stas, who is also the owner. He sits down with you first to talk about how they run things, what you can expect, and to discover why you're there and what your goals are. He taught us basic dance steps, then taught us the basic merengue and salsa steps with a couple of turns. I was very impressed with his teaching style and look forward to many more lessons - and hope to instill a love of dance in hubby.

From the day I contacted them, there has been excellent communication and easy scheduling. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming! Our coach Krista is the best! We are both beginners and she exudes patience and a positive energy at all of our lessons. She is a skilled dancer and we aspire to get to her level of expertise. For the past several months, we have been working together to create a choreographed first dance and are so happy with our decision to come here and learn something new! We have been building our confidence with dance week after week and can't wait to learn all the different types of dancing! I would recommend this studio to everyone!

My next lesson we're going to focus on swing. I like Chris's style of teaching. He shows you the steps, let's you practice but also teaches techniques to help improve style. This part makes you stand out when you go dancing in public. I'm excited to try a group lesson as well and a social event. Chris explained the group lessons help you be more comfortable dancing with multiple partners because everyone's style is different and you have to be ready for anything. Come check out Chris and the other dance instructors at Monarch Ballroom.

Let's begin this saying that as a career long sales person I understand the pressure to make a sale…read moreas an associate. I also can see a sales pitch beginning a mile away and I think the tactics used by likely the entirety of Pure Barre are predatory and it's probably not only this location. But I'll never go to another one, so you'll have to let me know. I took an intro class today and liked the class. When I was first called to book it I was asked if I was ready to make the time and financial commitment which I thought was a little weird of an ask but okay. Upon going to the class, they made it a point to introduce you to everyone which was lovely. Class was pretty standard. The studio was clean, no frills, basic set up. The fact the studio is carpeted is strange and gave me the ick but was willing to look over the intense lighting and that for a good new studio. I previously had a studio I went to 5 times a week so I'm not new to this format of class. After the class, they had us come into a circle and sit on the floor like we were in grade school. They ask everyone how they felt and their goals and if they are ready to make a commitment today to do this and sign up. I mean they literally go around person by person and ask this - which is wildly uncomfortable for many people to talk about that in front of a group of strangers. Then they tell you about their only 2 membership options - mind you, there are more online. When I was leaving everyone was signing up for memberships. Good for them. Pretty hard to feel comfortable leaving that scenario without signing up. When you look both online and in the app they offer a 4 class, 8 class, and unlimited. Heck, they even offer a drop in! I asked about the 4 class pass. I'm new to the area and don't want to commit to a studio at that level. The associate told me they don't offer that any longer because she felt the clients didn't get the results they wanted. To which I pulled up another way to purchase a 4 class pass to which she remarked, "do you feel you can get the results you want with only 4 classes a month?" My reply "I think that's for me to decide." But seriously, don't shame someone into thinking they need to commit to something . When I was clearly uninterested in any other levels than the 4 pass she said she could actually approve that on the back end and it was a special deal they only give existing clients to keep them taking classes. So, it is an option. You would just rather pitch only two in hopes to make a sale. Be aware of this process. The people I met were kind, they seem bought into their culture which is nice, but I think this entire sales process is disgusting and from further research online this is a Pure Barre process, not the employees in particular.
