I used Yelp to find a good car window tinting service. What I discovered was an awesome place. Not…read moreonly did they have competitive pricing, but they also had a special, and I saved $100.00. They are so professional and friendly. And they guarantee their work. It made me love my 2025 Subaru Forester Touring Hybrid that much more. If you didn't know, tinting can save your interior. It's well worth the investment. My partner got an excellent quote for detailing his Toyota Grand Highlander Platinum. Check out the picture below that shows all of their services. There were some things they offered that I had never even heard of.

This vehicle is a first vehicle for a teenager that DOES NOT have her license yet so it has been driven minimally. More than enough time to cure especially with the high heat days we've already had. Second, because the vehicle is for a teenager I decided that a lower quality film would be fine. Mind you I paid $1200 for lifetime warranty ceramic on my vehicle and have lesser quality variations on previous vehicles. Apparently, lower/lowest quality film means all around trash between quality, installation, and customer service. When I called and asked if there was a warranty on the film I was open and told them when I had the tint installed. As any business owner should they questioned why I waited so long. I can go into excuses, but I won't. I'll just say life. After explaining the situation I was told I got the lowest quality film and that there wasn't a warranty. I explained that this was likely NOT the film but issues with the installation and air quality where the install took place. After I made that statement then it was well if you would have in two or three weeks after the job was done. I've emailed the shop. Waiting on a response if I get one. Either way, so your research, ask about quality and installation warranties, and just because a company can get you in quickly and is on the cheaper side does not mean the work or customer service will be quality.

Unprofessional, don't take your vehicles there.

I am absolutely dumbfounded at the way business is conducted at Tinting By Rita.  I called to get…read morean estimate and to find out the next available appointment time.  We discussed my vehicle and the fact that it was already tinted but had turned purple due to age.  Quoted $100 for front two windows and $40 more if I wanted to get a brow for the windshield.  I told Rita that I thought I wanted to go ahead and get the brow. Keep in mind, I have never used her service before, but decided to give her a try because I have family members that take every vehicle, they buy to her.  Fast forward to this morning.  I dropped my truck off and discussed what shade and what services I had decided on.  I asked her to match the back windows and I declined the brow for the windshield.  We agreed I could just add it later if I decided I wanted it.  I left with nothing bad to report. I got a text from Rita telling me my vehicle was ready.  I excitedly rushed over to her shop with $100 in my hand.  Only to be told the total was $140.  I asked her to clarify the total and she said, "There is a $40 charge to remove the old tint."  (Which is totally a fair price.)  I then asked her why that wasn't mentioned yesterday.  She then said, "Well I didn't know it had old tint on it." I then said, "Yes, we discussed it on the phone."  She said, "No, we didn't."  Not super happy about it, but I told her I would have to run to the ATM to get more cash. She handed me my receipt, which I placed back on the counter because, according to her, I had not paid fully for the services yet.  I turned and left. I am on my way to the ATM and I cannot get the fact that I know we had that conversation about the tint being old and faded so bad that it looked purple out of my head.  I decided that I would give her the $40, but I was not going to do business with her moving forward.  It is only $40 after all.  I felt strongly that this was not the way business should be conducted. I pulled up to her shop and she was already outside.  I got out of my truck and walked towards her.  She said, "You aren't going to know what to think not seeing purple anymore."  I laughed in agreement.  I then told her that I was going to pay her the extra $40, but I felt that this was not a good way to conduct business and that I would not be a return customer. We are walking towards her shop at this point.  She steps inside the door, and it was like a switch flipped.  She turned and threw my money at me.  Then stormed over to her already poured glass of wine at 1:00 in the afternoon.  All the while cussing me and telling me to get the F out of her shop and to take my effing money and leave. At this point, I am standing there completely dumbfounded as to what is going on.  I leaned down, picked up the money and calmly told her I just needed my receipt and then I would be on my way.  She screamed, "Why the EFF didn't you take it when I tried to give it to you earlier?"  To which I replied, "I didn't want to take a paid in full receipt when I had in fact, not paid for her service completely, according to Rita.  She screamed, "All this because you can't listen on the phone."  Which, by the way is totally the opposite as she is the one that couldn't remember our conversation.  I digress. She then grabbed the receipt and crammed it in my hand and told me to get the EFF out.  She continued to scream the F word at me and telling me to get the eff out of her shop and don't ever come back.  All the while, her worker was trying to intimidate me.  Not impressed at all.  Surprisingly, I remained completely calm and did not return any curse words or any harsh words at all.  I placed the $40 back on her counter and left.  She returned to her wine. It was a completely horrible experience and to top it off, the work isn't even good.  It was trimmed badly and is quite a bit lighter than the back windows.  I will edit this review and add pictures when I get a moment to go take them.  She lost a customer over $40 that I was totally willing to pay if it had been included in her quote the day before. I am not sure why anyone would think that this is an okay way to speak to another human being, let alone a customer.  Terrible way to do business.  I will never ever, ever use her again.
