My advice if you do the same is get plenty of sleep the night before and take plenty of notes. I was fortunate enough to land a job through the school before I even graduated, I went from a job I disliked with no benefits to a career I enjoy and health and dental benefits. I tell myself all the time I wish 20 year old me went to school instead of 30 year old me but better late than never. Jimmy, bob, bill, and the rest of them are good guys.

I feel they know their stuff and will help you with any questions even after you finish your schooling. Its only 12 classes if you take all day Saturday class so everything moves fast. I liked my teachers although Bill Lueg can sometimes go on tangents not even closely related to subject matter he knew his stuff. Jimmy the owner seems like he genuinely cares and wants to know you after you leave the doors. My one complaint is the business is hard as hell to break into. I did ok in the school I thought I have followed every piece of advice to get into the field but cant crack into it. Basically the school is great I think if your a young person who can work for literally nothing or very little and don't need any benefits its a good investment. If your older like me, mid 30's, and are trying to get into a new field most companies have been hesitant to give me any kind of chance because my job wont let me take a part time job and I cant afford to take the paycut to strictly work in this industry. So know if you choose this industry you must be willing to have no benefits and very little pay for at least one year. I will keep applying but basically feel like I may not have any luck because of my current job and I have a family to support.

As a proud member of the unofficial Special Staff, I can confirm that Levine Academy is filled with…read moresome truly special people. Everyone here is specially gifted in their own unique way and the teachers aren't just teachers -- they're specialists. The smaller teacher-to-student ratio means students receive an incredible amount of individual attention, support and encouragement. The extra care given to each child is obvious from the moment you walk through the doors. And yes, with that level of care and attention to detail-- things occasionally involve thoughtful discussions, careful planning, another meeting and perhaps one more meeting just to discuss the previous meeting's findings. Excellence takes time specifically in this Special Environment. Of course, no review would be complete without mentioning Sal the Stallion, lovingly known by some as "Special Sal," proudly representing a community that's not afraid to celebrate what makes everyone unique. A great logo made by someone especially gifted! Five stars for the staff, the students, the families and the wonderfully special community they've built together. ¡L'Chaim! They're also ProTrans (transparency) and ProCult (culture). Rumor has it (I'm unofficially the only Special Suarez!)

This place is an amazing resource to the students in the Lewisville community who are choosing a…read moredifferent path than the traditional path. There are lots of great jobs that are out there that require a different type of preparation than the traditional college route. But, even if the preparation for the path does include a traditional 4 year college, this school helps build a good foundation for that as well. Some paths they offer are A/V productions, Automotive Collision, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Electrical, Cybersecurity, Firefighter, Forensic Sciences, Horticulture, Welding, and Wood Manufacturing. The formula here is hire highly accomplished industry experts to train the students to be industry ready. They stay current on their industry knowledge with industry business partners. The students participate in internships through their industry partners and everyone hopes those internships lead to fulltime positions when the students graduate. Today I was here for " Signing Day" when the students sign their intent to go work for the companies they have interned for upon their graduation. It was an amazing thing to see and feel the energy and excitement in the room and see the pride in the parent's eyes! I have an opportunity to visit such programs all over and have to say I am not sure there is another program that does what they do better than Lewisville does it!

My Amazing Experience at UEI in the Electrical Technician Program…read more Stepping into the United Education Institute (UEI) -Dallas Campus for the first time felt like the beginning of a new chapter for me--a step toward a future I had dreamed of but didn't quite know how to reach. Enrolling in the Electrical Technician Course has been, without a doubt, one of the best decisions I've ever made. Let me tell you why. First off, the hands-on training in this program is extraordinary. From day one, we were encouraged to roll up our sleeves and dive straight into learning. No endless lectures or theory without application; here, it's all about practical experience. Wiring circuits, troubleshooting systems, learning how to handle real-world tools--it's the kind of training that makes you feel empowered. You don't just learn concepts; you gain the confidence that comes with actually using them. The star of this journey has definitely been Mr Jones the instructor. There's something incredible about learning from someone who not only knows their stuff but has a passion for teaching and genuinely wants every student to succeed. They patiently walk you through each concept, breaking it down into manageable pieces, and then challenge you to think critically and apply what you've learned. The energy they bring to every class is infectious, and it's clear they truly care about us as individuals. It's refreshing to be treated not as a number but as a person with dreams and potential. And I can't talk about UEI without mentioning the phenomenal staff. From the moment I stepped into the building, the warmth of the team made me feel welcome and part of something bigger. I mean, how often do you walk into a place and the receptionist--friendly, efficient, and always with a smile--sets the tone for the whole experience? Shoutout to Mr. D for his unwavering support and encouragement; he's one of those people who always has your back. Even the cleaning staff, who keep the facilities spotless and always share a kind word, contribute to the positive atmosphere of the institute. It's this combination--outstanding training, incredible people, and a supportive environment--that has made UEI stand out for me. Whether it's the connections you build with classmates, the way the curriculum prepares you for real-world challenges, or just the sense of belonging you feel every time you walk through the doors, UEI has truly exceeded my expectations.I feel ready to take on the next phase of my career, armed with skills, knowledge, and the confidence that UEI has instilled in me. If you're considering taking the leap into something new, I can wholeheartedly say that UEI is the place where dreams start turning into reality. Here's to bright futures, one wire at a time!
