Had a great experience getting my propane tanks filled here last night. The price is very good for a tank refill, and the service was very fast. Their hours make it very convenient to make the trip down Ashland, and it was absolutely worth the drive. My next refill is definitely happening here! It's probably worth sharing that their hours and pricing have been updated from what's posted on their website. They now close at 10 pm instead of 11 pm, and their standard bbq tank refill is a little over $15 now (due to market changes). They kindly post the current pricing on large signs in front, so there are no surprises. read more

I love this place! I would go here with my Dad as a kid when he would fill his propane tank. Fast forward decades later, now I go here and recommend this place to anyone that would listen! $12.70 for a 15lb propane tank filled? Yes please! I pulled up and two guys grabbed a tank each, filled them up, I paid $28 for two full tanks and I was on my way. Came with my guy since we needed to get our tank filled so we can BBQ. I stayed in the car and he went out and a guy came out and told him to go to the side. They were gone maybe 2-3 minutes and my guy appeared and put the tank in the trunk and got in the car. I thought he didn't get it and he was like yeah, it's all done. It doesn't get much easier than this, You just drive up, park off to the side and walk your tank over to where they are filling and then pay in cash right there when done. The guys will take your filled tank back to your car and put it in for you. There are about 3 or 4 stations where they can fill tanks so it moves very quickly. Their website price is not always accurate so you can call in advance to get pricing if you like. As of March 2014, it's $18 for a 20lb tank incl. tax. I saw a Walgreens advertising $25. read more

My friend told me about this place (I use to go to those exchange cage places). I came here Memorial Day weekend to get my tank filled, although it was busy it was fast service. I was in and out. I got my bbq grill 20lb tank filled here for $14 tax included (I was paying around $20 at exchange cage places). The tank felt more full from here then those exchange cage tank places. I asked one of the workers how come it feels more full when I come get it filled here and he said that exchange cage places only put 15lbs of propane in their tanks and he showed me on one of the wrappers from an exchange tank. So our fuel tank is old school. Where we can't do an exchange so there are a few places in the chi do a refill. Uhall was asking for 4.20 a gallon and for a 20 gallon tank. I say. Ummmm no! So we looked up some places and Tulsa power was where people said to go. It is next to the place I play indoor soccer in the winter. We had to drive over but you can take the Ashland bus to 38th/39th street. This place wasn't much on the eyes but oh man was it fast and cheap. Our refill was 13.75 for the whole tank! Trust me people worth the drive! It's even cheaper then exchanging at your local propane exchange! Trust me so worth it read more

Refilling propane tanks does not have to be a miserable experience. This place is really great. They are so helpful and quick. The pricing is more than fair. I have a special tank that many places don't want to be bothered with. These guys, no problem. I won't go anyplace else and believe me I have tried them all. read more

The place has definitely seen better days, but I wasn't there for the atmosphere just some propane. It was quick and easy to get it filled. It's cheaper than UHaul if you are filling an empty 20lb tank as it's $14 a fill. However it's a set price meaning you can't just fill half a tank for half the price. They basically will fill it up for $14 regardless of what was left in it. UHaul charges around $4.20 a gallon, note Gallon not LB. Since there is only around 4.1 gallons in a 20lb propane tank, it'll cost about $17 if you get it filled there. So overall this is a better deal as along as your tank is less than 1/5 full. Otherwise UHaul would be the better bet. read more

First things first, neither my girlfriend or I have a car so we knew right off the bat, we had quite an adventure in front of us. Good thing the weather is beautiful out and we were up for the challenge. We walked our 4 empty propane 20 lb tanks over to TPS to refill two of them and just give the other 2 away. They were old, we don't need them and just wanted them out of the backyard. We walked up to TPS and there were a couple people that had pulled in right before us. We waited maybe 2 minutes then got our newer tanks filled, turned in our other two and paid within another 2 minutes or so. $27 to fill both tanks with a $1 mailer coupon, damn good deal considering a regular exchange for one tank at Home Depot or Walgreens can be $20 at the cheapest and you're never sure how full your tank is. We started our trek back to the bus stop, since we weren't up for the 30 minute walk home with the full tanks. As the bus rolled up the driver told us that we couldn't come on with the two tanks. I was afraid of this, but thought we would at least try anyway. Next option up was an Uber. As we requested one, Bobby from TPS pulled up and asked where we lived and offered us a ride home. Honestly, didn't expect that one bit, but it was a very nice surprise and very welcome. In & out quickly, great rates & outstanding customer service.
