I've been going here since the new owner took over. (Too many years to count.) I do make an appointment every time, otherwise, they get so busy that you may have a longer wait. I also, go during the week as the weekends can get crazy. Their popularity speaks for itself. They do a beautiful job! I am very picky and they always accommodate me with smiles and cheerfulness. I read a couple negative comments that just do not make any sense to me as I have never witness anyone that wasn't over the moon happy with their work and quality. My mother, grandmother, sisters, friends, etc. all just love going to their shop. And I never hesitate to recommend them. I get complements on my nails all of the time. They are all family working there. Tracy (owner), her sister Jen and mother are all licensed and her sister, Trisha, is experienced and in the process of completing all certifications. Trisha is supervised by her sister and only does tasks she is legally allowed to do, everything by the books. They do like cash but also accept debit, Master card and Visa. Checks use to be acceptable, but many bad checks were written and they had to put a stop to being robbed. Their artwork is exceptional, all free hand painting! They keep up with the trends, such as, mood changing nail polish, metallic polish, 5-D Cat Eyes and constantly add new colors to their shellac polish. read more

I waited a week to leave a review for multiple reasons. I usually do dip powder myself at home but I had a very busy few weeks & needed my nails done before multiple meetings/events. They were close to my house & had good reviews (I'm new to the area). I called ahead to make an apt. The salon was clean and the gals were very nice. The price was very fair. I asked for an acrylic ombre french in a coffin shape. The ombre itself is stunning, she did a great job there. The thickness of the nails is great. However...none of the tips she put on are actually flush with my nails; leaving a small gap between my real nail & the acrylic. I live in the woods, garden every day & have 3 dogs. I can't get all of the dirt out & it's driving me insane. Also, as soon as I got home I had to file a few nails to make them even. My two thumb nails were totally different lengths, one was visibly way shorter than the rest of my nails lol. I'm low maintenance and the lengths being different isn't a huge deal.. I will definitely give this place another shot & next time will request an apt with the owner instead. read more

First off I'd like to say I am a very picky person who does not like strangers touching my feet. I am 39 weeks pregnant so I thought I'd get a pedicure because my feet are so sore and swollen. When I googled nail salons, this one had good reviews so I went for it. I called ahead jic appointments were required (which they were not) to get a time slot and the woman on the phone was very nice and professional. When I first came in, I expected a strong "salon smell" and there was NONE. Being pregnant, smells are a huge concern for me because I get nauseous, but here was absolutely fine. When I picked a color and sat down, I automatically went into perfectionist mode internally asking every question under the sun about how this establishment could do better. I found nothing. The staff was professional, yet personal. The pedicure was relaxing and beautiful. And I paid $25. It was awesome. I definitely will be back. read more

I have been getting my nails done for years. I live in Burien and when my nail artist left the salon down the street with no explanation or forward I started a quest for a new nail artist. I went to several different salons in the Burien area and was disappointed in their design. My daughter lives in bonney lake and was going through the same issue. She found Tracy and her family and we have been going ever since. Unfortunately I can't make it to Sumner each time and when I try other salons I am dissatisfied. Tracy is amazing at french tip shellac! It's all I ever get and I am extremely particular. I want even clean lines and quality that will stand up to my daily activities - and I now have the best of both worlds! I always get compliments on my nails and I never have to worry about bubbles, chipping etc. I had been searching and have been disappointed by MANY places. First time to Tulip Nails. From the "Oooohs and Ahhhhhs" made by the usuals coming in to the salon, it has clearly been recently remodeled. My nail tech told me she had installed all new nail station chairs (very comfortable) and new pedicure chairs and tubs. They looked just as comfy. I love my nails. First Seahawks game of the season is tomorrow, so I had to get my nails "game ready". She did a beautiful job and I will definitely be back! read more

First time trying out Tulip Nails and I have finally found my nail place. The girls didn't pressure me into getting shellac, which is a huge plus for me, even though I ended up with shellac!
