However you can buy a "3 flight" wine tasting or a "6 flight" wine tasting from a specific list of white wines or red wines. We ordered the "6 flight" consisting of 3 whites and 3 reds to taste. We liked the ability to choose the wines from the list. We also ordered a caprese crostini tray to nibble on while we tasted the wines. Most of the wines were "OK" to "Good" in taste with a couple of wines that a bit too young for tasting. But it was my mistake for selecting them. All in, it was a fun way to spend the Erving. We will definitely be back to try The Stem and Stein once again. Thanks. Rob F

I even branched off for a cider which was delicious. The food was great. I tried the pretzels and the cheese dip was great with just a touch of spice. I was told the menu was new and tried the BBQ brisket Reuben and it was a great combo of BBQ and complimentary flavors for an overall satisfying sandwich... Always hard to find the combo of good beers (or at least a really good selection) and good food but this is it. I added this to my list of places when I'm visiting.... I'm usually in Huntsville but it's worth branching out to Madison AL

Nestled in historic Madison, V&O offers some of the most unique wines and whiskey/bourbon offerings in the region. There's a typical bar area with TVs showing sports, but surrounding the bar are plush, lounge chairs and couches that feel more intimate and inviting for groups. Selection of libations is a great start, but without passionate and knowledgeable 'tenders the experience feels... incomplete. V&O doesn't disappoint here either as everyone is well-versed and opinionated in what they are serving. It's the perfect place to let a few hours bleed away and forget what is going on in the world; maybe have an intelligent sparring session about tastes in the 'brown drink' or adult grape juice... You can spend an entire night here or end up here at the end of the night for a night cap... I don't think you can wrong either way. It's becoming one of my favorite places for wine and whiskey/bourbon... but tread carefully; there are so many things to try you may find it hard to walk out to a ride home. However, you won't regret the time spent within the walls of this gem... I can't promise the same for the next day

Seriously super impressed with this new wine bar and lounge in Madison! You can find it downtown…read morenear Lanier House, the little tearoom. This place opened recently and offers a huge selection of wines (from Germany, France, California, New Zealand, and more), several varieties of bourbon, and a craft cocktail menu. They also have charcuterie boards and a shop with wine- and alcohol-themed memorabilia that are really quite cute -- think tumblers, candles, and other great gifts. There are televisions playing softly in the room with the bar but there's also a more intimate room; I think it'd be a nice place to gather with friends. I was told there'd be wine tasting nights starting soon! The bartender, Teylor, was exceptional! She put me right at ease, spoke knowledgeably about each cocktail and wine option, and had a good sense of humor. She worked efficiently among the patrons and was very attentive and polite. Shout-out to Teylor! The vibe was really great too - the other guests were friendly and sociable without being overbearing and I enjoyed my visit while having a drink. I ordered the Monte Sano Sunset, which is a rum drink with fruity elements to include orange and pineapple juice as well as a squeeze of lime. It wasn't overly sweet and didn't upset my stomach as similar drinks often do. It was a pleasure to watch Teylor make my beautiful drink as well as what others ordered; there was even fire involved with one particular beverage! I enjoyed my drink and heard rave things from the other guests about each and every drink that was served. Although this bar is rather far away for me, I look forward to bringing friends from out of town to this special new place.

We were greeted when we entered and were given some instructions but I must admit, I was a little lost. I was told there was some outside seating (all of the tables/chairs were taken inside) so since this was my first time visiting, I wish there were signs or maybe the hostess could have showed us specifically where to go because oops, I accidentally opened a door that appeared to be an office. Someone saw us and we probably looked lost to them and so they were nice enough to show us the outside area which had a singer who sung some Frank Sinatra songs. He was very talented and appealed to the audience. To our surprise, we saw behind us a table for the tastings. I asked the server for a champagne card so I could take notes and view the prices, but she said when we entered, we should have received one. So I went back to the front and asked the people at the door for the champagne card and they stated that they were printing them, and that they will hand them out a little later. Also I wondered about my brunch that was paid for separately and they said they will come and find me when it was ready. I am glad that we were able to find a table because now I am wondering if we couldn't, how would we have eaten our food. In my opinion, tables should have been reserved for customers who ordered food. Also I wasn't sure how they were keeping up with which customer showed up first because we weren't given a number or anything to show that we ordered food and what our number in line was. At first glance, they seemed unorganized. But as the time progressed they did eventually bring out the champagne cards and they apologized for the lateness of us receiving our food. As the event was coming to an end, one of the workers gave us info on future wine tastings and when they have a live band. All in all, we enjoyed the experience despite it seeming to be unorganized at times, but will definitely come back and visit soon. P.S. The champagne was great! Even bought a bottle. Also the brunch tray was delicious. Hats off to the chef! That whipped goat cheese with orange marmalade was amazing!
