Update: I received a letter in the mail from the office stating that they've tried to reach me…read moremultiple times to discuss an urgent matter regarding my blood work. I have not received a single phone call, happy to show my phone record for proof. And if it was such an urgent matter, even if they did call, you'd think that they would leave a voicemail. But nope. No calls no voicemails. I tried calling today at 12:30 PM and was sent to a recording that says they are now closed for their lunch hour which is 1 to 230. The voice recording says it, the letter says their lunch hour as 1-2:30. So why am I getting their automatic record recording if it's 1230 when I'm calling?! Regarding my blood work, I first called them once my results were posted and said what happens next? Because the sole purpose I went to this doctor was for them to help me understand what was going on with my blood work. The receptionist said and I quote "if you didn't receive a call from us that means there's nothing for concern with your blood work and I don't see any notes in your profile" so you're gonna tell me that they were just going to never reach out to me for a follow up if my blood work looked fine? That doesn't mean my concerns and my health issues are resolved! So now months later, and I'm getting a letter in the mail saying that they've been trying to reach me. And they haven't! And every time I try to call them and ask WTF this is, I get an automatic recording during their actual office hours, saying that they are closed and you can't even leave a voicemail. I hope they see this and call me ASAP because they are supposedly keeping vital medical information from me.

My regular AME and even my union doctors had told me it was going to take months to get cleared. Dr. Philipp was highly recommended to me by a friend, so, I thought I would take a chance and try a new AME. WOW!!! Dr. Phillipp was able to go through the lengthy details of my case and get a pre-approval from the FAA to issue a medical on the day I saw him. Of course, this was all contingent on me passing the medical when we met. Everything checked out and I am now holding a fresh Class I medical to go back to work. Dr. Phillipp's great reputation and long repour with the FAA made all this possible. Dr. Phillipp is very professional and has a great bedside manner. His office is extremely friendly. Dr. Phillipp clearly enjoys his connection with the aviation community. He shows a sense of pride in aviation that carries into his practice as an AME. I wish I had met him earlier. Even though Glendora is a bit of a drive for me, he is worth it. I would drive 10 hours if I had to in order to see him. I highly recommend Dr. Phillipp.

I've been a patient at this office for years, and this was by far the most disappointing experience…read moreI've had. I received a call from the front desk today 4/8/2026 after I left my office visit regarding an additional charge for my consult I had paid $120 because I chose to visit their office while my new insurance kicks in, and the way it was handled was completely unprofessional. Instead of clearly explaining the reason for the extra $80 cost, the staff member came across as demanding and dismissive--as if I was supposed to already know their internal policies. At no point during my visit was I informed that discussing my symptoms could turn the appointment into a higher-cost consult. What made matters worse was the tone of the conversation. It felt like I was being blamed for the appointment running longer, which is unfair. Patients rely on medical staff to guide the visit appropriately--it's not our responsibility to manage time or determine billing classifications. There also seems to be a lack of internal communication and organization. If expectations, pricing, and visit structure were clearly communicated upfront, situations like this could easily be avoided. I asked to speak to the office manager because, yes, I had every right to be upset. Instead of taking accountability , apologizing, I was met with defensiveness--and then banned. Banned for speaking up after being treated poorly, advocating for myself. That tells you everything you need to know about how this office handles concerns. There is a serious lack of communication, organization, and basic respect here. If expectations and pricing were explained upfront like they should be, none of this would have happened.
