My husband and I have lived here for almost 4 years and we've not had any serious issues. The elevator does get squeaky from time to time though. Notices are posted in a timely manner, and any water shutoffs usually follow the posted time. Trash, recycling, and compost are taken out weekly. During heavy rains when the drains got backed up, Jillian ensured that they got cleared asap. For a building of 40+ units, the tenants are considerate with noise, they are mostly small families or working couples, so it's pretty quiet most days. There is a tiny gym (2 treadmills, a cycle machine, 1 elliptical, weight machine) on the ground floor which came in handy during the pandemic, and the pool was retiled earlier this year. The laundry room was also renovated about 2 years ago and you can pay the machines using an app. There's also 6 guest parking spots which is nice for when family and friends visit! After the building changed ownership in 2020, tenants were allowed to have pets, which can be difficult to find in Burbank. We enjoy living here with our two cats and it's super convenient and walkable to the central library and downtown area.

The Leasing Agents, Ricky, Chase, and Selena, were so welcoming and informative. Ricky took the time to show us around all the available apartments, Chase wrote out the contract and explained it to us, and Selena was so helpful in giving us local recommendations for the neighborhood. Alex, the General Manager, seems to have a great handle on this apartment complex. He came out and welcomed us home as Chase handed us our keys. The service manager, Mike, has also been fantastic. He came around, introduced himself, and made sure everything was good in our new home. I put in a call to the office about the a couple of minor things and Teddy and César immediately showed up to fix them. It was great! I already love it here.

Fellow residents steal packages constantly, leave spaces dirty, and don't respect any rules. Not to mention the big cockroach problem. Dishwasher broke and it took 7 months and new maintenance man who actually wants to do his job, to finally fix it. Ceilings and walls are thin and don't expect anyone to be courteous when it comes to the shared laundry. The only good things was the location and ceaser the maintenance technician, he actually cared about getting the request done. I hope he gets promoted.

Looked at 40 apartments in two days!! By Wednesday morning we had narrowed it down to 4 potential spots. By noon, he made the decision on Legacy at Westglen. Here are the reasons why: 1. Location - only a short 1.5 miles from his school in a nice clean area just NW of Glenoaks Blvd. Easy bike ride. 2. Building amenities - Newer building with two gated underground parking spaces and large storage bins. Very clean heated pool and hot tub. Fitness center. Very clean and well maintained grounds. 3. Security - Not that this area of Glendale is unsafe in any way, however the security of the building put me at ease as a parent leaving his first born on the other side of the country. Parking and grounds are very well lit at night. 4. Apartment size and layout - 2br has common living space in the center with bedrooms and two full baths on left and right. Great for roommates. 5. Last but not in any way least was the "community manager" Vladimir!! This guy is nothing short of amazing. He is incredibly friendly and helpful and really put me at ease. Vlad went of his way to ensure that we toured all available units, answered every question and more. I can honestly say that after VIEWING 40 apartments, you really get a feel for who is running the place and how much they care. Vlad played a big part in our decision to lease from Legacy. If you do nothing else as a company... keep him as the manager! Lastly, nothing can be perfect so I do want to mention a few things that could be improved upon: appliances look to be original 20+ years old. They still function but are on their last legs. Showers are old and don't really work as they should. If the appliances and bathrooms were updated this place would be a Grand Slam instead of a Home Run. Still 5-Stars!

Management and maintenance have always been attentive and very responsive, all requests would be handled in a very short time span. If they can fix the issue with the back elevator's access to Bonnie Brae, this would be the perfect property (there's two elevators in the back, only one goes to the street, but you can't choose which elevator). But the elevator issue is only a problem if you live on the Bonnie Brae side. The Bahay was by far, one of the best properties i have lived in, i only moved out because I needed more space.

Consistent hot water and working, central AC has been my experience. When there was issues, the property manager is always on top of it and very communicative and offers accomodations. Plus, the location is great, with shops and restaurants in every direction and underneath the building. Police station is one block away and I feel safe walking my dog at night. In a year we have gotten refurbished interiors, the pool and sauna areas have been remade, refreshed and are nice spots to hang out. She is working on our social room downstairs next, so if you visit....it looks empty, but I can't wait to see what she is going to do with it! The manager is also on top of communicating with us via email and text, she leaves us notes and when something goes wrong--she gets on it! That might mean vacuuming water up to make sure no one slips, getting the garbage disposal working in a pinch and making sure issues get worked out between tenants. The public/common spaces and hallways are cleaned regularly, there is always someone fixing, spiffing or maintaining the building. Most of the apartments are being redone as people move out and so they have new kitchens, wood floors and paint. I really like it here.

The units are being remodeled as tenants leave...crown molding, hard wood laminate, granite counter tops. Kitchen space is pretty small. Underground parking is a hassle if you're carrying a lot because there's a few steps to go down and the door is heavy to open-- wish I had a spot on the level above. I also love natural light in my unit and (depending on your unit) the building layout doesn't allow for much light while maintaining privacy. There's 4 floors and 9 or 10 units on each floor...biggest building I've ever lived in and I'm definitely a small building type of gal. Tenants are pretty quiet. Pool doesn't really have space for laying out. Never been in the sauna. Only saw the gym when I first inquired about the unit, as I recall it was kind of a joke/nasty but I have a membership at 24 Hour Fitness. Pricing for this building is pretty high considering what's offered and comparing to other buildings in the area. Not a bad place to live but nothing special about it either. :-/

I was also deeply uncomfortable with the way I felt I was treated by the office staff. Based on my personal experience, I felt discriminated against and did not feel respected or welcomed. No resident should leave an interaction with management feeling this way. I hope Altana Apartments takes complaints about staff conduct and discrimination seriously and works to improve how residents are treated. My experience with the office was extremely negative, and I would not recommend this property based on the customer service I received.
