It was like stepping back into the 1950s. The view and the quiet were captivating. Now the enchantment is gone. The management could care less about the tenants and it shows profoundly. Before I signed the lease, I asked if there were roaches. The manager (Dina) looked me right in the eye and said, "No." It was a bald-faced lie, as there are roaches and plenty of them, along with the stench of insecticide that is supposed to get rid of them. The gate for the parking lot only opens with a gate opener, so forget your food or other deliveries. There is NO INTERCOM to let your guests in, and this is a big complex. So unless you're fortunate enough to live on one of the sides facing the street, you'll have to go out in the weather to greet your guests and let them in. Be sure that you read the entire lease, because they won't tell you that trash and water are NOT paid except for the residents who have been here a long while, and those people will be paying hundreds of dollars LESS than you will when you move in--if you dare. Trash has been known to pile high in the dumpsters, and the area around the dumpsters are not kept neat and clean. The cheapest, lowest quality of work has gone into the improvements in this complex. The floors, the plumbing, and just about anything else you can name. Rent at your own risk.

The community laundry costs also only raised once. It was a good experience living here and would live here again. The building is kept up to date. Very clean. Love the huge park across the street from the community. This offers so many benefits. I have not had a roach problem and other complaints online may have less to do with the apartment's pest control and more to do with the immediate neighbors.

I also have a problem in the bedroom with water coming up from the the floor, leaving the carpeting and pad soaking wet. The kind and knowledgable maintenance man pulled back one corner of the carpet and put a blower on the damp pad. He said the entire piece would need to come up. Since then I have sent emails to the manager, with photos, and have given times when I would be available to have vendors come and do the work in there, and have not had a reply. When I call I get a voice recording saying "the mailbox is full." And when I go to the office, the door is always locked. * **Update: I went to the office at a rare time when the door was unlocked, and they appear to be setting up a time for vendors to replace the carpeting that was damaged by rain water. A window specialist came in about 6 weeks ago and said I needed new windows in the living room. It was sent in for approval at that time. I had towels in the windows and wet carpeting in the bedroom over Christmas and nothing has been repaired! I'm told the previous tenants made numerous complaints about issues with water coming in, and finally decided to move out. Water pools on my patio during every storm, allowing mosquitos to breed. If you read in previous reviews about the wonderful Kaysha, she is long gone and part of previous management. New management is nearly impossible to reach and is evasive. The walls and ceiling here lack sound proofing. I have to keep my TV turned down low, so as not to disturb neighbors. If you live on the first floor you will hear every creaking floor board and the sound of heels on the hard floor above. You will also hear conversations, loud and clear, as if they are in the room!. I have upgraded my rating to 2 stars due to the maintenance man, Art, who has been kind and helpful. Unfortunately, he doesn't make the decisions, and I've had to wait a very long time for management to take action.

I've lived in four other complexes, and Jack is easily my favorite landlord! He's done so much to update and care for our building and he truly cares about his residents. In addition to Jack being our favorite landlord, this is also our favorite apartment! The neighbors are friendly and quiet - at least we don't hear them. The courtyard is always clean, has lounge seating, grills, and a spectacular view from the third floor! There are bike racks in the garage and a trashcan with poop baggies for the pups right outside. We've enjoyed decorating our apartment, and our friends rave about how it feels so much like a home. The location is amazing: down the street from the airport (we don't hear the planes), between two parks, a fire station, a storage center (with the first month free), a hotel, and several shopping centers. There's always plenty of street parking for guests, and the walk around the neighborhood is nice! I have no complaints. If you can snag an apartment here, jump on it!

We had to pay a service fee for a locksmith to come out to give us a key to the gate we never received because they said he couldn't find the gate/lock we were referring to even though pictures provided. Property we rented was nice but foundation was cracked and floor was very un even in some place. Took a very long time to get security deposit back because they said they mailed it but we never received. We have finally received it.
