This isn't too bad of a mall. There are a nice variety of stores here, clothing stores, watch stores, game stores, etc. It's been around for quite a long time, and it shows, since there is some noticeable wear inside. Also of note, is the food court, which offers a wide variety of choices. Parking is terrible. Part of the reason for that is because Tucson has grown a lot in the past 20 years, and it wasn't designed for that type of expansion. In that sense, it's a lot like the city of Tucson itself in that its infastructure is too small to support its growth. Another issue I have is with the signage. Finding a bathroom for instance, can be an issue, and there is no signage to point the way, unless you happen to be in the vicinity of the food court. Other than that, its a solid mall. read more

We have always had wonderful folks there who are helpful and kind. I would rate you 5 stars for sure, because of them, but we bought some shirts for our 6 year old son and this picture below is after one wash. The neck of each shirt we bought turned out like that. :( We have been happy with almost everything we have picked up for our 11 year old daughter, but was so disappointed by the boy shirts. read more

This is actually a nice mall. There is a good variety in stores; not too big nor too small, and it is clean. It is the largest mall in Tucson (an indicator of how big Tucson is). When they get an empty space they are fairly quick about refilling it. The only negative I have is that there is really only one bathroom area, which is massively impractical for such a large space. It has been a while since I have been to the Tucson Mall. A lot of stores have disappeared, but there are some new ones that are there. Overall, I can always find what I am looking for with all of the different kinds of stores. For example, H&M, Guess and Express. Food Court selections have gotten better over the years. Tucson mall is pretty alright as far as malls go. It's close to my house and they have a few of my favorites - Old Navy, Gap, etc., so I find myself here at least once a month. Some of the anchor department stores could use some love; the Penney's and Macy's both feel a little sparse and oddly laid out compared to others I've seen. However, REI is conveniently right outside, and there's some decent dining nearby. We enjoy the Vietnamese spot near H&M. Parking can be a beast, but you can find the less crowded nooks further out and walk in for a less stressful experience. Overall, there's enough here to keep me coming back despite the mall craziness! Pro tip: During the holiday season, the Santa area should be avoided at all costs. read more

As the husband of an avid shopper, I frequently sit on the couches and chairs outside the stores while my wife shops. Those provided by Tucson Mall are inordinately uncomfortable. They are too deep, so you cannot recline without almost laying down. When you do recline, you begin to slip forward making for a slouchy posture. If the chairs and couches were more comfortable, I would bring my wife here more often. read more

A mall is a mall is a mall is a mall. 1. As another reviewer said, you don't have to wear a bullet proof vest to shop here. This is essential in my book and makes Tucson Mall all the more endearing. 2. Discover how Spanish-incompetent, bunion-ridden, fat, dumpy and out-of-place you are by shopping here. Everyone speaks Spanish, and many wear 5" heels. Go blonde, wear something flashy, leopard-, zebra-patterned, or skin-revealing, or else nobody will pay any attention to you. 5. Nobody pays attention to me. Every store I entered, none of that, "Can I help you?" Cold, hard stares followed by lots of Spanish. Despair. 5. There's a train running through the mall. What I mean is, there's a freaking mini train that carries supposedly sane people through the mall in a haphazard fashion. You pay money for this. 6. Something akin to "Arizona Avenue", complete with Arizona-made merchandise, is featured here. A nice touch, if you want Turquoise or Big Cowboy hats or Kokapelli. 7. In China, I saw children riding on these motorized animals in the shape of cows and donkeys and such. In the Tucson Mall, I saw the same thing. Unfortunately, they were not run over by the mini-trains. read more

i had forgotten how nice the Tucson mall is. this use to be one of my favorite malls growing up. It's bright with natural sunlight and variety of stores. one of my favorite stores is located here - charming charlies. 2 years ago this mall would have received 1 star from me and you would have heard me bemoan how dilapidated and awful it is. In 2011 some amazing things happened at Tucson mall and the shopping center across from it. Cheesecake factory, Brio, California Pizza Kitchen, H&M, REI, New exterior, valet parking, and general improvements that have made this place worth the drive vs. going to park place up the road. I agree with other reviewers that the parking is among the worst in Tucson but to be honest I think Park Place is just as bad on the broadway side of the mall if not worse. The Tucson Mall is really cool if you are 12. And again if you are 50+ it's a great place to walk around in before it opens, especially in the summer heat. Okay I'm not 50 and I'm not 12 so I'm going to try to review this. Malls seem like dinosaurs today. They are sad carbon copies of their former self, which was never that astounding to begin with. Shop after shop offers more or less the same brand-name product with nice high priced tags. Malls just can't compete with the online shopping or big name stores such as Kohls and Burlington. Remember the days Suncoast was at the mall? If you do, you're old like me! Because who needs a Suncoast video when you have Netflix? The mall seems like a place to just go walk around, and like a museum just browse at the products but don't buy. The food court is pretty cool, there's good food in there, and a nice place to sit. It's a great place for teens and tweens and for families and it has a nice playground for the lil' ones. And it's fun to ride the escalator! And they have a neat store called "Toy Inc." which is super expensive and I'd probably never buy anything but it's got a lot of cool super hero and Star Wars action figures. The mall is just my place to escape in the summer, and go walking around with the 50+ crowd before it opens its shops. read more

A large, multi-level venue, Tucson Mall has been a staple for shopping in this area for as fast back as I can remember. Many people hate it, and understandably so, but I honestly believe this mall has grown in the right direction over the past few years. It possesses virtually every traditional mall store you can imagine, with enough unique businesses to add it's own personal touch. The parking situation is very adequate and fits the size of the mall well. It even presents covered parking near the food court, but those spaces are a challenge to locate during the long Tucson summer. Where this place really stands out, to me, is the food court. It has Chipotle... I mean, that's a victory in itself. Plus there are options for virtually everyone and the Tucson Mall still has the same gyro stand in the food court that has been there for as far back as I can remember. The Tucson Mall is the type of mall that's suitable to do high-volume shopping and grab some food in the process. It's certainly involves multi-level trekking and shopping here can be a tiring experience for people who cannot tolerate lots of walking combined with stupid people who are oblivious to their surroundings. But if you have a lot of shopping to take care of, the Tucson Mall may be your best option. Park Place is nothing short of a mess when it comes to the crowd, the Foothills Mall is for outlets, La Encantada will drain your bank account quickly and the El Con Mall is no longer a traditional mall. Really, this is the ideal mall in Tucson at the moment and that's saying something considering how bad it was a decade ago. read more

It's a mall, I personally hate all mall shopping but it's a great place to get decent deals without running all over town or wondering if super-cheap-clothes-fake-website .com just stole you money and credit card info. Went to get ice cream at thrifty. First of all they have no waffle bowls, they don't have the thrifty option either, they have one girl working there that can barely scoop out the ice cream. She has no gloves on. She starts playing with her hair and then touches the whip cream and pushes it on top of the ice cream. At that point I said no thank you. This place always seems to be INCREDIBLY busy, but I may just be jaded because we are just getting over the hump of the holiday season. Solid shopping mall with a LARGE selection of good stores, it always seems clean, and it's a great place to window shop as well. There is always parking, even when it is really, super crowded, and the flow of traffic entering and leaving is always smooth. The bonus store is a great REI- which is why I am usually there, but the H&M and Forever 21 are also huge and both two stories. read more

A decent mall that I liked better than Park Place. I ended up in Tucson for business during the holiday shopping season and found the store selection a little more varied and there was a lot more space than at Park Place. What surprised me was the number of license plates from Mexico, I didn't realize so many people crossed the border to do their Christmas shopping. The food court is decent (Tucson Jim at Chick-fil-A is a LEGEND) and you guys get MELT which I'd love to have in Atlanta. Also nice to see a U of A store, a good selection where I picked up some gifts. read more

This a very nice shopping center mall with Macy's, Sears, Diilards, JC Penney as there anchor stores. It's has the regular mall stores and a decent food court. They also many chain restaurants like Cheesecake Factory, California Kitchen, Olive Garden, Mimi's Cafe, and others near it. read more

I really like this mall! It's always clean and there are playgrounds and activities to keep the kids (and dads) entertained while shopping is done. It also has a little hall to take your out of town guests for some last minute Arizona curio buys before leaving town ( or because the weather is not playing nice). If you don't like the selection of eateries in the food court there are plenty of options outside to satisfy the most discriminating palate. read more

Fave mall in Tucson. I mostly come here for Forever 21 and Victoria's Secret. There is always open parking in front of Forever 21. The Forever 21 is two stories and has a very large clearance section all of the time! I like the VS store here better than the one at Park Place. I feel they have a better selection on certain apparel, specifically collegiate wear. read more

Why in the world would they clean the women's bathroom right by the food court at 1pm on a Sunday?!?! There were many women standing around wiggling with legs crossed. I went and got something to eat. Afterward, when I returned the same girl was STILL guarding the bathroom, and still with a line of waiting women doing the jig. Wouldn't it make more sense to clean it after stores are closed? Or at least when the mall first opens or as it's getting ready to close when there are fewer shoppers. VERY poor planning. The hostesses don't have stuff passed correctly to the waiter when you use call ahead seating request a specific server they try to just seat you anywhere and get you moved in there. They need a bit more training to be more efficient with handling the guest instead of just cutting corners. read more

The one thing about the Tucson Mall that has remained consistent in the years I lived in Tucson is that the public restrooms are filthy, stinking, and generally disgusting. They are in disrepair, the toilet seats are nearly all broken. Many of the stalls do not close correctly and nearly half there is no toilet paper. Usually I'd avoid them at all cost but I don't have a choice because like many people I have Ulcerative colitis and have no choice when I have to use the restroom. The lack of properly functioning restrooms that are always filthy show to total lack of respect on the part of the owners or operators for the customers of the Tucson Mall. Starbucks: I tried to give them several chances, but every time I have their coffee it has been horrible! I always have chunks of coffee grounds in my cup. I can't really blame the baristas since they seem to be short staffed while serving a line of 20 people. I would rather go to Gloria Jeans, it is so much better and they have almond milk as an alternative. read more

This is a mall I've been frequenting all of the 8 years I lived in Tucson. The worst time to come is during the holidays (just like any other mall) because damn near EVERY car in the parking lot says, "Sonora Mexico" on it and there's NOWHERE to park! A friend of mine said that when she worked at JCPenney during Christmas time, there was absolutely no parking and she spent over an hour driving around looking for parking. Its been so bad before that I gave up looking and went elsewhere to shop. The rest of the time its a pretty standard mall. It's clean, its big (for Tucson, anyways), and there's a lot of decent stores. Friday nights its crawling with teeny boppers and scene kids in need of a bath, but Saturdays are packed with families and millions of kids. Again, these are to be expected of a mall. All in all, this is 78 times better than Park Place Mall and I wouldn't even compare it to the pathetic existence of Elcon Mall (is that thing even still around?).. A solid three stars. read more
