So I have been to 4 shows here, and I am now taking the Improv 101. I was thinking I was going to wit until after I finished the class and had my showcase to write a review, but I'm not. I had been wanting to take an improv class for a long time, because it is always good to try something new. I had looked around to see where I wanted to go and decide in virtue of the overall feel of excitement. The dynamic between the audience and the troop. The shows are only 5 bucks and worth every penny. Go and enjoy, it is a lot of fun!!!

Not sure what I was expecting here, but it was a fun date night. For $5 each, plus snacks, we laughed and enjoyed the silliness. I found it as an event on Facebook, bought tickets on our phones and snacks at the door. There were so few of us in the audience, it was a little awkward, but I give them props for putting themselves out there, and of course, some actors are better than others. The address in GPS put us in the ally behind it, but it was easy enough to find and we found parking right out front. I would go again- I'm guessing the content changes every time since it's improv? I do wish there was more info on FB about the shows.

COOL ARENA... w/ tight seats! I'm not quite sure how accessible this arena is as it's got super…read moreenclosed seating and a massive set of stairs. I couldn't imagine someone in a wheelchair coming here. My parents almost tripped down the stairs due to the poor markings on the ground. It was quite a trek going up and down the stairs. I didn't feel like heading to the gift shop or concessions stand because it would've been a full-on workout. I go up stairs on the daily so I needed a little break once and a while! Tucson Arena's staff are pleasant for the most part. There's a few socially awkward people but I had a good time. The security out front was super polite and greeted us appropriately. I felt safe throughout my visit. There's several concession stands with standard fare (burgers, tacos, nachos) and specialty stands with Italian ice cream, mini-donuts, and açaí bowls! Tucson Arena is inside the Tucson convention center, so it's a massive property! The arena seats a bunch of people and there's several good views. This isn't to say there's a few obstructed zones, however, we enjoyed our visit to see the Tucson Roadrunners nonetheless. Bathrooms are easy to find and kept clean. Everything is a walk here, so expect to head towards the back of the arena to use the facilities. Overall, I'd recommend visiting for an event. The walkways are spacious and the seats are comfortable, minus the scarce leg room.

The venue was smaller than I thought. It's about half the size as the arena in Downtown Phoenix…read more But that can be a positive or negative depending how you look at it. The venue being small meant there was not a bad seat in the house for views of the stage and provided a more intimate experience. The top floor to the upper sections was wide open with no walls separating the seating area and could see the stage which is good if you get up to get drinks, you aren't missing the show completely. The concessions stands lined the perimeter inside which made it a little congested. The outer lobby also had concessions available too. Was only able to enter through one side of the building because they did security checks with metal detectors and bag checks and the whole bit. This caused a line to get in. They only allow certain size purses believe it or not. Plan accordingly. The bathrooms were not huge so you may end up in line, especially for the women's. Plan accordingly.

Drinks were available at the venue bar or the Tap Room adjoining. There was also a big water dispenser available. The staff were nice and seemed happy. I asked for a recommendation for a mocktail at the Tap room, and the bartender said water. My friend ordered a mocktail and she said he was right, she should have ordered water, the drink was not worth $10. It's always fun to go downtown for a concert, there's so much to see and do.

The one who served us was very nice and even made a drink recipe I came up with. Unfortunately, their bar is not well stocked so had to make a LOT of adjustments to my recipe. But appreciated his suggestions and effort. Now for the bad stuff. They have a jazz club attached. I figured the whole place would have that ambience but was disappointed that wasn't the case. Generic pop on the patio and inside is very noisy. The preferred dress of patrons appears to be gym shorts and t-shirts. Drinks were a little weak so I switched over to bourbon on the rocks. But the prices are reasonable. Maybe a nice pre show stop if you're going to the Century room.

I was disappointed that I didn't hear more Christmas music, but I guess I should've went to the Charlie Brown Christmas show for that. The performers were extremely talented, and the host did a good job too. I got a hot chocolate, which was okay, as well as the mixed nuts, which were also okay. My large party also tried the popcorn, and it was a bit stale. I was saddened to see that there are no longer charcuterie boards on the menu, leaving only and truly "small bites" that don't really hit the spot. The chocolate covered pretzels were the only thing I ate, which I would order again. I really like the century room , I just hope they make revisions to the menu to really make it the whole experience!
