I would not recommend Tucker Chevrolet based on my family's experience. My son and daughter-n-law visited Tucker Chevrolet on 11/29/2025 after learning they advertised discounts for First Responders. (We are a First Responder family) At the time, they were interested in several gas-powered vehicles listed online. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, they were unable to make a gas vehicle work financially. The salesperson, Noah, strongly encouraged them to consider an electric vehicle--something they had not intended to purchase. After test-driving it, they were pleasantly surprised and decided to move forward with the purchase. All paperwork was completed, and they left believing the transaction was straightforward and transparent. However, after returning home and reviewing the dealership's website, they discovered that the same vehicle was advertised for $5,000 less than the price they were charged. On 12/2/2025, they emailed the dealership with screenshots and documentation requesting clarification. They were told that the $5,000 difference had been applied to their trade-in value. This explanation was incorrect, was never disclosed during the sale, and was not supported by the paperwork. Despite providing evidence from their own website, the dealership refused to honor the advertised price. Additionally, because they had never planned to purchase an EV, they were completely unaware of available rebates at the time of sale. After speaking with a relative and conducting our own research, they contacted Efficiency Maine and confirmed that they did qualify for a significant rebate that could have been applied during the transaction. While we understand the dealership may not be legally obligated to disclose this information, failing to mention such a substantial incentive reflects poor sales practices and a lack of transparency, especially when selling an EV to first-time buyers. Compounding these issues, their follow-up communications with the Sales Manager, Will, were met with unprofessional and rude behavior, which only escalated an already disappointing situation rather than working toward a resolution. Taken together, these issues reflect a serious lack of ethical sales practices and consumer transparency. As a result of this experience, none of us will ever do business with Tucker Chevrolet and cannot recommend them to others. read more

Tucker Chevrolet is yet another rip-off car dealer. AVOID doing business with car dealers like Tucker Chevrolet who LIE and don't care about huge inconveniences caused to their customers. I made a deal to buy a Chevy Bolt EV on Wednesday. They refused to take a deposit over the phone but sent me the paperwork for the deal via email. Will, the sales manager, told me he would put my name on the vehicle & put it in the back on hold for my Friday pickup. I told Will I was driving 350 miles from upstate New York to Maine to pickup the car on Friday. I called Thursday morning to establish the pickup time for Friday morning and was told they sold the car Wednesday night hours after my conversation with Will, the sales manager. They didn't even bother to call me to let me know. If I hadn't called to establish a Friday pickup time I would've driven over 350 miles only to learn they sold the car 2 days prior & never notified me. They were friendly but I sure am appalled they charged me $1000 for Documents Fees!! I questioned it but three times they said it covers expenses like registration fee. They only pay $1 per temporary plate and I registered my care to transfer plates and I paid almost $300. I asked Bill Dodge Buick in Westbrook when they called me to solicit, after I purchased my car from Tucker, and their DF is $599. I truly feel they took advantage of this senior female. I was there for about 3-3.5 hrs. I feel like I paid them to buy my car. That was a ripoff.There is no good reason for charging that high! read more

This dealership sends out scam mailers from Fatwin promotions claiming that you've won $1,000 to con you into the showroom to claim your 'prize' which you haven't actually won. You can find entire Reddit threads about these scams. Shame on this dealership for thinking the only way they can make a sale is through scamming Maine citizens. Additionally, I'm disturbed that Fatwin promotions has created a 'unique web address' with my full name in the URL as part of their scam. read more

Bought a used car from them. Less than 48hrs later the check engine light came on. They took the car back for repair, had it for exactly 3weeks, and when I got it back the check engine light came back on 2 days later again. They took the car back again and called me 3 days later saying it was all set. When I got there they said the light may come back on because the catalytic converter had failed and that they weren't going to replace it for me. I didn't get 5 miles down the road and the light came back on. They said they would fix it for me for $900. Total scam. Don't waste your money with them. I'm sadden to write this review I have done a lot of business with Tucker Chevrolet over the years I rolled a brand new Camaro right off the show room floor bought two Silverados and a leased an f150 from Tucker ford but I have to say the owner better get his butt down to his dealership and train these boys who is running the show. I was helping my son buy his first pickup first of all they wouldn't budge on the price or offer to find anything in our payment range. I had asked about replacing the bumper on the truck we were interested in because there was a big dent in it all of the people sitting around laughed and said not in that price range. WOW learn how to work with your customers. Being all approved for a truck you would think they would want to work with you to earn the sale guess they don't care. Still waiting for parts they promised weeks ago. After the sales man told me he had already ordered them. The sales man told me he replaced my cracked windshield. After work i picked it up , no new windshield. They said the crack was too small. I had to contact the AG about getting my windshield fixed as well, then they fixed it after having to bring it down an hour away for the second time and the help of authority. The staff will tell you what you want to hear so that they do not have to deal with your needs. Selling the vehicle was quick of course after scanning my credit ten times. After spending 18,500 at the dealership I would think I would get treated fairly well, as any customer should. I love my jeep but i would not do business here again due to the professionalism and lies. It cost nothing to be honest and respectful. read more
