My friend recomeded we come here for breakfast before work. She advised we needed to go early because wait time takes awhile. I ordered a Steak, Egg and Cheese burrito with a Coke, came with a side of tots. I paid 6.49. There are two people waiting for orders as soon as we came in. I ended up waiting 20 min for my order. I really love these tacos! Carnitas are the best - juicy and so flavorful. An order of 4 is less than $7 and is enough to fill me without need for any sides. Maybe I would change my mind about sides if they sold elotes, haha. I read the comments of other reviewers about having to pay for salsa. I've never had to pay for salsa, it comes with the tacos and has always been enough to really sauce them up. The salsas are delicious and they choose them to complement the filling - green salsa for carnitas, red with beef. My tacos always come with lime wedges, cilantro and onions (no extra charge) so just order what they offer and take it as served and you should get everything you need. What a great little taco joint!!! Traditional in the sense that your tacos do not come with all the lettuce, tomato, and cheese. I ordered the taco plate (barbacoa) with rice and beans and an additional quesadilla frita (pastor). So the tacos were outstanding. Just the perfect amount of beef, cilantro, and onion. With just a squeeze of lime made it over the top. The beans were your standard canned fare and the rice really had no pizzazz. Now the quesadilla was much different than your normal quesadilla. It was like a gordita: fried bread. Nevertheless it was perfect. The only way I would have changed it would have been substituting cilantro for the lettuce. Now the downside (and it's so minor): the wrapped fork I was given had not been washed. The napkin actually stuck to it. So I calmly asked for a disposable fork instead. I finally got around to trying Tu Taco today for breakfast... and was blown away by the burrito ( egg and bacon) I bought. it was excellent , inexpensive, and fairly large. As I was running errands later in the afternoon, I was nearby, so I stopped AGAIN for lunch. I can say, another burrito, but a beef and bean this time, and it was excellent also. Bland food, worse service. I was in Arlington and wanted tacos so I gave this place a try...big mistake. I ordered my tacos with no cilantro or onions and I ordered and paid for extra lemons. When I got my food I saw that I had been charged for the lemons but got none and my order was incorrect. When I went to get it corrected the cook said that since he didn't "hear" me ask for my order a certain way that I would have to just buy more tacos so that they could make them correctly. We just moved to Arlington and wanted to try something new. Tu Taco is delicious! It's a complete hole in the wall, but it's clean, quiet, cheap and the food was amazing. I had barbacoa potato quesadillas and my husband had the carnitas crispy tacos. Both meals together were under $15 and we left full and happy. The meat was tender, juicy and delicious! Watch out for the salsa verde IT'S HOT! At least hotter than I'm used to a verde salsa being. This restaurant is going to become part of our regular rotation. read more

Gave Tu Taco a try today with a couple co-workers. I tried a variety of tacos in combination with rice and beans (the sides were GREAT). Everything including the mexican coke was very good; this will be on the regular rotation for us. The salsa is on the mild side but of high quality. There is a sign on the side of the building that says 20 tacos for $20; we decided this was more of a dare than an ad and we may take them up on that next time!
