I adore this place. Outside looks scary but inside it's all open and generally sit where you want. Service is great and they always ask if you are happy with your meal. Husband had the sautéed beef with lettuce and white rice and I had the combination pho. Fried egg rolls were our appetizer, I ate one before I took the picture. Pensacola staple for decades . Family owned, fair prices and some of the best Pho in town. Wish it would come back

I've tried this place a few times now and honestly, it just isn't it. The food really isn't bad per se but it's just not as flavorful as some of the other options in Pensacola. I love trying different types of food everywhere I go and it's mainly because in ethnic (non American) foods are bursting with flavors that my America senses aren't used to. Over the past 2 years it has become less good. Half the time the broth doesn't even taste like pho broth just plain broth like they skimped on the pho spice when cooking. I usually take it home and have my own pho spice packs there and put it in the broth but today I'm at work and it does not taste good. There's no flavor The chicken is so thick every time we get it we have to spend 5 minutes pulling it apart first before we make our soup. Ordered today picked up brought all the way 10 miles away to work get there and find out there's no Thai basil called and they said oh sorry. Everything tasted great, except the chicken. The chicken was just not good; it tasted like canned chicken. My dish was the vermicelli with "pan-sautéed chicken", which was definitely not sautéed. I have been getting take out here for years. Pho soup is the best. My fav is the pho noodle soup with tofu. My daughters now love it as well. I've tried other restaurants that sell pho but they're never as good as Tu Do. Plus they have a thru for pick up. read more

I had a hankering for some good pho, so I decided to give Tu-Do a try. Upon my entry I was greeted and seated promptly. The server tending to my needs was awesome! To start I was hoping to try a spring roll. The thing is, there's no way I could finish three of them and eat my pho. So, I asked if there was any way I could get a single roll, and to my surprise my server said he could do that! (It was tasty! But the peanut sauce was extraordinarily delicious!) Since I was able to get a special request with the appetizer I decided to press my luck and see if I could get an order of pho that is not on the menu, I like rare steak, well done brisket, and flank. He did it again; YES, he said he could do that! When he brought my food I asked if I could get some hot chili oil (something I always request with pho) and he told me they were all out. Bummer! I asked if there was something else I could get that's hotter than sriracha. He brought be tiny fresh Vietnamese chilis and chili paste. He really went the extra mile! I specifically drove here for 45 mins to get the usual noodles I always get and they messed my order royally. It's 8pm and they told me to get my to go order by 9pm which was fine. I ordered 2 soup noodles, stir fry dish and 2x of springs. Pretty the same as last time with the pictures posted previously. Instead, got home and it's past 9pm just to realized they gave me a totally different dish. They gave me vermicelli pork dish which is so irritating. Of course, they didn't pick up the phone. The man spoke perfectly good English and repeated back correctly as well. Can't say he didn't understand of 2x order of #114. First off, the portion sizes were huge (in a good way), really get your bang for your buck. My beef pho was very savory and flavorful. We decided to try this place out on a whim & we were not disappointed!! The flavor of everything we ordered was superb in our opinion. We ordered beef pho, a pork chop plate & (not pictured) combination fried rice. We all agreed that each of our dishes were the best we've had since moving to the area. The staff was also very nice. Was fine dining here, thoroughly enjoyed the food though there were slight misgivings. Service drops once the food's delivered and as I see from other reviews, that's sort of the way of it here. So no water refills or or another beer or anything else for that matter. And I had to figure out how to check out ...after waiting awhile before making my way to the counter and sorting things out. Forget all the trouble of a take away box. I thought I was getting waited on! Anyway, I live in the land of Pho back home where there's more than a few dozen Vietnamese choices to make and choose from and I've nearly done them all now so I think I know a few things about pho, Americanized Pho anyway. No Bánh mì that I could see. Egg roll filling was deliciously unusually more like dim sum and was accompanied with a sweet and sour like dipping sauce, which was nice. I actually really liked this. You get three. Thought the pho's broth was really well developed and had a nice clean flavor. They weren't cheap with the ingredients either. Often when you order veggie pho, which is what I like to get with egg noodles, places can be cheap with the veggies. Not here. Accouterments plate was par for the course though I could have stood to use a few more lemons or limes, but the server was inabsentia as aforementioned. I know I could have chased one down and asked but... you know how it goes. Also went in on the savory pancake which often tends to be greasy elsewhere but I keep ordering it anyway for that infrequent Awesome experience. This was a really good one. In fact there were two and both were stuffed with ingredients. One of the better Vietnamese pancakes I've had in long while, actually. Also came with some nice accouterments including a small bowl of dipping sauce which wasn't too fishy. Traditionalists will likely scoff at this but I'm thinking palates here will rather it this way, honestly. And that's another opinion here, as the flavors seem somewhat tempered cross culturally and are a touch Americanized, which is smart, I say. Loved the food, but not the drop in service. I come here when Saigon is closed or it's too far away, I'm a simple guy, I like the chicken pho and maybe some egg rolls too, they're pretty damn delicious. Service was excellent, place was kept very clean and wasn't too overwhelming, only complaint is it's on Davis Hwy and it's a pain in my ass to try to get in and out of here during rush hour. Not a great place. Nothing bad but a lot to praise either. We order 2 pho and a couple other dishes. None of us were impressed. The pho was flavorful but got cool quickly because they use a plastic bowl. The Banh Xeo my daughter had was soggy and lack quality ingredients. She normally loves her Banh Xeo but not today. I think 3 stars is too generous. I was also disappointed the server told me they are out of black coffee. Not sure how that can happen on a Wednesday at noon. read more

It was dark and dirty. I stepped on a dead, small cockroach in the bathroom. Ew. I don't think they clean the floor under and around the booths well either. The food itself was ok. The broth was flavorful and clear. It wasn't swimming in fat. The noodles for me were disintegrating, so that had an awful texture in my mouth. Like so many ethnic foods, Vietnamese is one that some love...others not so much. Personally, I love it. To Do does a very good job of providing an authentic rendering of the Vietnamese classic foods. The menu at To Do is quite extensive but well laid out with good explanations of what each dish has to offer. You can not go wrong here if you want delicious Pho, spring rolls, and a multitude of enjoyable Asian and in particular Vietnamese dishes. Best pho ga I've ever had. I've tried Pho in many cities, but Tu Do has the absolute best tasting broth, and very reasonable prices. I like to get the #11 (Pho Ga) with extra basil and put a bunch of basil in there, I found shredding it by hand and then mixing in a squeeze of lime and a good bit of sriracha (I love my food spicy!) really brings all the flavors together. ^_^ Nothing hits the spot quite like Tu do, especially on a cold day or when you're feeling under the weather! Also, their egg rolls are the best, ever, too! Crispy and full of flavor, I love to take a bite and put the pickled veggies in there and then dip it in the sauce. People of Pensacola I have great news! If you go to an area with a larger Vietnamese community you'll get much better food. The coffee came from a mix. The starch was wheat pasta not rice noodles. The egg roll tasted like it had been prepared hours ago. And though they were generous with the meat, it had been boiled instead of grilled, had no seasoning or marinade and had essentially no flavor. If you have a sensitive stomach and like the IDEA of Vietnamese food and the LOOK of Vietnamese food but want it without the troubling flavor of Vietnamese food than this place is perfect. read more
