Counter service was nice and efficient. Bun Bo Hue was almost too spicy to enjoy. Although husband thought it was great. I was made to wait a few minutes for my Shaken beef while my husband ate. I liked the self serve veggie bar for the pho. Everything looked fresh. My beef was well flavored and came out warm. The pork belly shrimp rolls were a tad disappointing...the pork belly was more like a paper thin piece of just. Inside was bright and clean. Just under $50 for a dinner, I feel I was cheating on Saigon and Tu-do. This place is perfect for those scared to go to go out of your comfort zone.

This is my second time reviewing this restaurant and I am adding this review because of the amazing service I received yesterday. I had ordered my food through an app to be picked up by me at the restaurant but the food was mistakenly handed out with the door dash. Long story short they were able to solve the problem and get me the food I need. Very grateful

unsweet Jasmine Green Tea. Very strong :)'

I'm totally digging Basil & Sprout. They have a lot of good things going on. We LOVE that it's a quick service/self serve restaurant with an outdoor patio. Excellent Brekkie/lunch place. First of all their unsweet Jasmine Green tea is my favorite tea in town. It's very strong, hubby & I both are totally diggin it. The chargrilled Chicken rice & egg bowl is YUGE. It comes with two pieces of Chicken, a yummy Fresh salad & perfectly cooked rice & egg. A staple at my house. We eat this dish at home all the time bc it's simple. The simplest things in life are always the best. (We rotate the (protein) with various chicken/pork/beef/duck/seafood weekly) They do offer a Chargrilled pork chop & ribeye option, but no pork belly, duck, filet mignon or seafood etc., unfortunately. Maybe they could add a grilled shrimp or pork belly option in the future? "Hint Hint" Just a thought :)... The Bún bò Huế is good. The salty sweet broth is a little on the sweet side for moi & not enough lemongrass flavor but it's good. We added the short rib and it was excellent. Next time we will just get the short rib with the short rib. Totally diggin it. The garlic noodles are fantastic when you don't BURN THE GARLIC in them y'all! Right now every vampire is going to drop dead for 100 mile radius as I now have garlic fire dragon breath with subtle notes of charcoal. Please do not burn the GARLIC. Other than that it was perfection. haha. The little "Shrimp in a blanket"' rolls could use a little more seasoning but they are also very nice with the fish sauce condiment. I'm a Viet/French Chef & i'm impressed y'all. Not because i'm killing vampires for a 100 mile radius with my charcoaled Garlic fire dragon breath but bc you nailed the simplest Viet dish of all time. Moi all time fave. Chargrilled chicken/Perfect over easy egg with perfectly cooked rice, along side a simple super fresh side of veggies. Nailed it. Will return when i'm done killing vampires & less smelly. Queen of Pirate'cola approved. xoxo

We had the Buddha Pho. It was good with plenty of vegetables. My only complaint about them is they need to be cut in smaller pieces. There's a condiment bar to dress up your soup! (Bean spouts, basil, cilantro, jalapeños, sriracha, hoisin sauce, etc!) You order at the counter and they'll bring your food to you. You have to get your own beverage from the soda machine. They were very quick with our order. Plenty of seating (even outside). There are some rough edges when it comes to some of the decor (boxes, unused machines, open to brick wall. BUT easily addressed. If you like Pho or Vietnamese food, give this place a try!

A10. Garlic and Garlic Noodle with beef enough leftover to take Hime for next day

What a pleasant surprise! Didn't really know what to expect. Decided to try garlic-garlic noodles with beef. The flavor was a perfect fusion. The grilled or seared onions and fried onion crumbles were so good! The beef was extremely tender. Noodles were good and flavorful. I ate outside in the sunshine. I highly recommend this place. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I have been wanting to try this spot for awhile now. My husband is away and I noticed they're on grub hub. It took me awhile to commit at the simple fact $20 for a bowl of pho seems a bit extreme, but for good pho I would happily pay. It arrived nicely packaged and came with sprouts, limes, jalapeños, basil, some green onions,Sriracha packet and hoisin sauce. Microwaveable bowl was a nice touch that most don't offer. I feel as though the amount of noodles and chicken given for $20 was not nearly enough for the price. I'm from California (eek) and as a military family we've moved around enough for me to have my fair share of Pho, I'm by no means superior to others but I do find myself to be a "pho" snob especially coming from the Silicon Valley. With that being said, would I come back for the price and what I received? Probably not. Edit to add: not sure how the chicken is prepared but it is extremely rough and hard to chew. My advice would be: give the broth some more love, add a bit more noodles and use the thinner pho noodles. These ones have a bit of a weird texture after chewing.

Great service, great atmosphere. The food was really good. Classic beef pho. I really like the pick your own condiments station. That's a nice touch.

Enjoyed every visit I've made to Basil & Sprout. Love having a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant with a good ambiance to eat inside or in their outdoor patio when the weather permits. 10/10 appreciate having the choice of how many and which topping to get. The food has never disappointed me but always tastes just right. Service is prompt and pretty quick too!

An exceptional casual dining choice. They have a limited menu but they make it work. The highlight is their herb bar. Unlike most Vietnamese restaurants they let you choose your herbs. You will note in the picture that I like my Pho herb heavy. Clean and well maintained with a polite, professional and courteous staff.

Not bad, not great. I had the Chargrilled Beef Bowl, the veggies and the egg roll were very good, the beef had been cooked much earlier and was dried out and cold. Had the beef been freshly grilled, I'm sure it would have been excellent. 2 other people at out table felt the same way. The jelly soda was interesting.

It was okay but for the price could be better because it was kinda expensive for such small portions and mediocre.

As long-time fans of Vietnamese cuisine, we missed our usual Pho and Vermicelli bowls, but the fried rice and Bahn Mi more than made up for it. The owner is incredibly sweet and personalizes every order. We loved the convenience of grabbing our food. We decided to go all-in on their fried rice, ordering both the Chicken and Shrimp versions & Banh Mi. Since they don't do Pho or a Vermicelli bowl, the Bahn Mi is their absolute superstar. The bread has that essential light, crackly crust, and the roasted red pork is incredibly tender with just the right amount of sweetness. The rice had that perfect flavor without being greasy. The shrimp were surprisingly large and fresh, and the chicken was tender and well-marinated. Vietnamese Iced Coffee was the highlight. It was thick, syrupy, and bold with a strong caffeine kick balanced by sweet condensed milk. It paired perfectly with the savory fried rice & Bahn Mi. Di Da is a hidden gem for anyone who appreciates authentic, home-style Vietnamese cooking. Whether you're a local or just staying nearby, it's a must-visit.
