A small place for a quick bite after a visit to the hospital across the street. The flavor of the pho broth was severely lacking - it did not taste at all authentic. The egg rolls are decent and so are the rice dishes, but nothing I would rave about. I was also disappointed by the bubble tea they had - the "boba" were jelly, and not the regular tapioca pearls. Expect a bit of wait during peak hours since the restaurant is small with limited seatings. We waited roughly 15 minutes so it wasn't too bad. We were craving pho after a long drive and was excited to try Pho Real because of all the great reviews. The shrimp spring rolls were great. Perfect portion. But the excitement didn't last long when the pho came out. I can tell by just looking at the broth that it was going to be a letdown and I was right. The portions were great but the broth was flavorless. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk to go and that was a waste. I took two sips and tossed it away. Having just gone to another phǒ place yesterday, I was curious to try here in comparison. I ordered the beef phǒ and pork bahn mi, because I was actually craving that sandwich. Staff was super friendly, ingredients are fresh and of high quality, and I consider it good value for portion size. It's fast casual, which is kinda ideal for this type of food. The beef was lean, broth, flavorful, and toppings were of perfect portion size. In comparison, the place yesterday (I wont name, but it's further southeast in P'cola) was more like a Moe's than the great cafe vibe of Phǒ Real. The bahn mi was absolutely fantastic! If you like sandwiches, you will love it. If you like bahn mi, you will appreciate the fresh and bountiful ingredients, the flavor depth of the pork, and the absolutely perfect bread, with a slight crust and perfectly soft inside. I will absolutely be back, and have a favorite Vietnamese restaurant now. I am eager to try the rest of the menu soon! read more

Given the great reviews, I was hoping for authentic Vietnamese food. However, nothing we ordered seemed that authentic. The pho noodles were of the dried variety. The plate of bean sprouts that came with it only had literally 3 mint leaves on it. The vermicelli for the bun thit nuong was slightly hard. The egg rolls and spring rolls were also somewhat lacking in size and taste. It was fine to fill our stomachs as a meal, but I would look elsewhere for "pho real" pho. read more

All the food here is good. I usually get either chicken or tofu pho or the vermicelli. But I got one of their skillets the second to last time I visited, and it was delicious! I really recommend one of their skillets. Their taro bobbas are also really tasty. While the building is small, I never feel crowded. The restaurant is very clean. I could use more frequent water refills though. The staff is friendly and give off the "family restaurant" feel which I really like. (It IS actually family owned and operated.) read more

We were traveling from Tallahassee to New Orleans on Wednesday and found this place by chance. What a lucky find! The food is delicious, all homemade (we even saw them filling each egg roll by hand) and super fresh. Plus it's a family business which is so great! Everyone is super friendly and we tried so many things that we loved, including the beef strew, fresh summer rolls, taro boba, egg rolls, sesame balls and bun (vermicelli noodles). We enjoyed it so much that we decided to stop again today on our way back to Tallahassee. This time we tried the pho which was as amazing as you would expect with a name like Pho Real! Came with my 5 year old son and ordered a large shrimp pho was automatically faved with disappointment when I saw how clear the broth was a was left absolutely amazed with how packed with flavor this broth was me and my son loved every bit of it and will make it a regular . Another joint, another paradise for asian people like myself. The entire place is neat and clean. It is very inviting especially when the servers are super nice and attentive or maybe they are the owners- they smile at you and welcome you inside( thats a plus)! Now, I ordered Vietnamese coffee with cream that cost $4- the taste was just right. Its not too strong like how other Vietnamese place does theirs, pho real found just right amount of coffee aNd cream mixed together. I love it! I want to try their Vermicelli with pork and egg roll it cost $10, a little pricey for a medium bowl like that. It comes with noodles (not too overcooked which is great), pork ( very tasty), pickled carrots and radish (just a touch of tanginess) and other garnish stuff. Now of course, the actual sauce that make it or break it is the fish sauce. Theirs doesnt taste like fishiness(like pho golden)a nd doesnt taste like Tudo which I love, Phoreal's fish sauce is just right! Its the balance of Tudo and PhoGolden mixed together in my opinion ( and I dont eat vermicelli at phogolden for fishy taste like reason). My family and I were looking for a place to grab brunch before leaving Pensacola. With it being July 4th while we were there, not a lot of places were open. Which lead us to Pho Real. The interior is nice, there's a decent amount of seating, and everything was very clean. Service was pretty good and the food arrived promptly after ordering. I had the spring rolls, while my boyfriend got the rice with grilled short ribs. Everyone else in my family got pho and bun bo hue. The spring rolls were kinda skimpy on filling. The filling was also very basic, just lettuce and shrimp, no other herbs at all. The portion here is also very small for typical Vietnamese restaurants as well. I tried a little bit of everyone's stuff and it just lacked flavor overall. It's an okay place to grab a bite, but definitely wouldn't be my first pick. read more
