Of course, being from California, we LOVE Mexican food. Just didn't know you could find it so far up north in Nebraska. We were five people and they seated us at a large table which was very comfortable. Almost immediately, they brought us a 2 huge bowls with chips and salsa. Very generous portion. I don't remember what all others had, but everyone's food came piping hot to the table and was flavorful and not too spicy (which you can choose). My husband and I are not big lunch eaters, so we decided to share a meal. We had the chimichanga plate. I must say, El Mezcal quality did deliver. We loved our enormous plate of food; but were glad that we were sharing. The chimichanga was stuffed to the brim with very flavorful meat and just the right amount of spice, covered in stringy melted cheese... yum! Accompanied by rice and beans, this plate totally hit the spot. Service was friendly, but didn't interact much once the meal was served. Didn't bother me enough to deduct a start. Highly recommend this place.

The absolute BEST Texas Fajitas I have ever had in Nebraska. These are most definitely ranked right up there with my home state of Texas without a doubt. She asked if her plate could be warmed up as it was now cold. The server treated her like she was crazy for requesting such. Ive never left a one star review before.
