We went with two orders of homemade onion rings and the cheese nuggets. Be sure to come with an appetite. The onion rings were phenomenal! Light and crispy breading with ranch and chipotle sauce to dip. Highly recommend that combo. We were then awarded our salads which held us over until the main attraction came out. There she was in all her red juicy glory ($38.99-Goody size). The crust was heavily seasoned, and the au jus was flavorful. The fat immediately disintegrated into oblivion, which is what I want from an amazing prime rib. I ordered a loaded baked potato, and my buddy got the mashed potatoes with country gravy (equally tasty). A side of corn and a dinner roll (soft and warm) also accompanied the side of choice. I ordered my cut medium rare, which was perfect. If you end up leaving hungry from this great establishment, you are the one to blame. We cannot recommend this place enough. A group of five of us, seated at a table and the only reason I'm docking a star is because we were seated just a few feet away from the Keno ball machine and it was quite unpleasant when it was running, which was during most of our visit. Excellent burgers, pork tenderloin sandwich, hand breaded chicken strips, fries & tater tots! Not a morsel left on anyone's plate! Our service was wonderful and attentive, we were checked in several times and beverages refilled often. We will definitely be back when we return to Norfolk!

It's been many years since I've been back, and I was so sad to see that they really haven't kept the restaurant up very well. While traveling on business, I thought I would grab some lunch and work on a project. A hostess offered to seat me, but became quickly confused about exactly where to put me and we ended up walking to several areas of the restaurant that had empty tables before she was able to get some assistance and find the right booth for me to sit in. Unfortunately, they do not have Wi-Fi so I wasn't able to stay. I would have ordered their classic "French Cheesy" sandwich which sells for only $4.50 (it is sold a la carte, as all of the sandwiches are). Much of the menu is fried, although they do offer a salad. I choose to keep my nice memories of the granary as a fun, family-friendly place to eat. I was really sad to see that it had aged so much. I hope that it's current owners, or anyone who takes it over in the future will opt to redo the interior & give it the love that it needs. It's meant to feel warm and homey. This has definitely been a treasured restaurant in Norfolk for many years and it deserves to be taken care of.

As the song goes...."where everyone knows your name." Daily specials are offered Monday-Thursday but unfortunately, our visit was on Friday. We browsed the printed menu and landed on the patty melt and rodeo best burger--a 6 oz. burger jam packed with two types of cheese, mushrooms and all the fixings. It was huge! A side of crinkle cut fries was split between our orders and after seeing the size of the fry order we were glad we decided to share! All burgers on the menu with "rodeo" in the name are 6 oz. in size. A sign on the wall reads, "if you leave hungry it is your fault" and I would tend to agree with the sign's message. Our burgers were juicy, a little messy in a good way, and very filling. Our server was friendly, efficient, and checked on us frequently. We were provided a full set of condiments (see photo) to embellish our already overflowing burgers--something you don't see at your local burger joint. Restrooms needed some updating and attention, but were clean and serviced. We liked the friendly feel and food at the Rodeo Bar and Grill and would recommend it to others--if we keep traveling to northeast Nebraska they may even learn our names.

Alyssa who is pictured in the photo with my buddy Brian was an awesome server. She was entertaining and very nice. This young lady had so much energy. The food was really really good . I had a burger called "The Irishman". Essentially it was a nine ounce hamburger, bacon, corned beef, swiss cheese and caramelized onions. It's topped with an over easy fried egg. Let me tell you now. If you have Alyssa as your server, just go ahead and request extra napkins. It's a messy hamburger to eat. I mean it wouldn't be so messy if you had the egg fried hard. I actually liked the over easy egg on it though: The burger was grilled, so it was very juicy and it was not over cooked . My buddy had the bacon bleu burger and it was just as good.
