OMG the food was delicious and very generous! I had the seafood enchiladas with white (cheese?) sauce. Our table really enjoyed a round of Margaritas. In town for work and this was one of the few non fast food places that was open. Greater by a very friendly staff member. He asked us where we wanted to sit as it was not too busy for a Tuesday night. We picked a booth and got our drink order right away. Brought hips and salsa while looking for food options. The salsa was bland, no him of spice and almost taste like Pace Picante with a few things added in and blinded a bit. After looking at the menu and the pictures posted on Yelp I went with the Taco Fajita Salad. Food came out pretty fast only about a 10 min wait. My salad was good tasting and flavorful but wish there was more lettuce to soak up the juices from the meat and veggies. It was a bit soggy when i picked up my shell to put in the to go container. It does not come with guacamole so I added a small side for $4.99. It was enough that I ate it with chips and still had plenty to put on the salad. I did not get beans and rice but I tried some of my co workers. Nice texture but not flavorful at all, very bland. Same for the rice. No seasoning at all. My guacamole was good but it was missing a bit of garlic, salt and lime juice. It would have been on point with these flavors added. My co worker got some kind of meat and veggie dish in a hot stone bowl. It looked and smelled really good. She said it was flavorful and really hot (not spicy) read more

Queso was cold, soda was flat, the cheese in my quesadilla wasn't even slightly melted. For two quesadillas, a Queso, a soda, virgin margarita, and a kids Mac n cheese it was almost $70. There was also something spilt all over the table next to us that didn't get cleaned up the entire time we were there and it looked like vomit. All around the food was just okay, overpriced, and it was pretty dirty. read more

Stumbled into this restaurant this evening after a family event and we're sure glad we did. Everything was excellent. The chips were fresh and crispy, the salsa was thick - you could taste the fresh ingredients. Hubby had garlic shrimp (which he loved) and I had the enchilada combination plate. We ordered an extra bowl of guacamole - we couldn't believe the size of the "small" bowl. You could tell this was freshly made also. Big chunks of avocado and lots of onion and garlic. We really liked this place. Our only regret is that it is so far from home. When we were leaving, my husband said "O'Neill doesn't deserve this place!" A trip down Hwy 20 is no longer complete without a stop at Tacos and Tequila! As residents of Omaha, we have plenty of good Mexican options here, but Tacos and Tequila ranks right up there with the best! From the GIANT burritos and the beautifully crafted Margaritas to the more specialized menu items such as the El Molcajete, they have it all! The icing on the cake here, is the service. The wait staff works hard to provide amazing service, and make everyone feel like a regular. The menu is vast to say the least, and they do an amazing job of blending Tex Mex standbys with interesting and more authentic dishes. If you haven't tried it yet, you are missing out! read more
