Always excellent and real here. Only gripe I have ever had is that I usually ask for fresh jalapenos, chopped and added to a burrito or whatever. Often I actually get the pickled kind. They are ok, but lesser. Same today. But otherwise, was great again and Mex CocaCola always hits the spot!

We've seen a lot of these trucks spring up all over C-town, and haven't stopped at any just because you never know with some of them. I've noticed that this one is always busy when I drive by to work, and today we finally decided to check it out. There were lots of menu options and even horchata! It was definitely the street taco experience we have missed since being out in California. Not exactly the same but the closest we've had out here in the flatlands. Meats had good flavor and salsas were delicious.

I wouldn't say gods gift to earth, but it's fairly decent street tacos. Get the orange salsa. It has more favor and a little more bite to it than the green salsadoes

Food comes out quick for a small truck. Great food, and a wide selection to choose from. My favorite truck in Columbus.

I absolutely love this place! I highly recommend the steak burrito or the steak quesadilla. Their tacos are amazing!

Burrito King - Cross-section of my steak burrito ordered without cheese or sour cream. Add onions.

When I entered burrito King, it was about 11:15 a.m. and I was the only one in there that early, I was greeted by two very friendly people who were very attentive as I first ordered fajitas and then decided I couldn't come to burrito King without getting a burrito. Quick aside, the worst burrito of my life was in Oslo Norway, I've still been balancing that experience with above average burritos in the Midwest. The special of the day was the big belly burrito after considering this I went with just the regular size steak burrito. I got it without sour cream and without cheese and asked for onions which they agreed to add. They also brought spicy salsa and regular salsa which I had to mix together because the spicy was too spicy and the regular was something my mom could eat. As I waited what turned out to be four and a half minutes for my burrito I looked around at the ambiance the restaurant had to offer. Particularly the brightly colored walls and the equally brightly colored paintings that adorned most of the walls. Like I said the burrito came out very quickly, and when it did the flour tortilla shell was the best toasted shell of my young life. It was also quite large, not big belly large but plenty as I had to return to the conference and give a presentation. I used most of the salsa mix on the burrito which was, beyond The toasted shell decent. The lettuce, steak, and onions were good, but not necessarily seasoned in a way that will have me craving them in the future. However, if I found myself in Columbus again, in need of a solid and affordable lunch option, I'd come back to Burrito King and probably try the big belly. I'd request they add onion and rice.

Hands down the best Mexican in Columbus. This was years ago when they were in the basement of a building on the square down town. Growing up it was a special treat to go here. Then in college I ate here at least once a week. The food was fantastic and the owner and staff were great people. They got to know me by name I loved it so much. Back then it was a lock for 5 stars. But I am very old that this was back before even yelp existed. We were back in Columbus recently and I insisted we go back to El Taps (what we called it). It is in a new building about a block from the old restaurant location. Sadly it was miles away in quality. The place was almost empty and it still took forever to order and then forever again to get our food. Then when it came... it was not good. I was heartbroken. I'm not sure what happened or if it was an off day but it was bad. By itself it would be a one star but I am holding on to 100 great meals from years past and going to settle on giving it a 3. Here is hoping you have a better time than our last visit. Assuming they have the same owner that they used to, they were good people and deserve all the success they can get.

The beans were white and only some were mashed while others were whole. The guacamole was fine except it needed salt desperately. Thankful it's at the table. The ambiance was strange-at least the music was. The entire dinner the same country-rap artist was playing with the explicit lyrics on. The server was pleasant, but never checked on our table. And when my colleague and I saw her at the host stand we wondered if we were supposed to go up and pay or if she would come to the table. We had never been here before so we weren't sure. When we looked up again the server yelled from the stand- "I've been waiting for you over here." A bit confusing of a dinner but overall decent for Columbus, Nebraska.
