Here are my pros: I called the day before and was able to get an appointment. Very pleasant and professional on the phone. When I walked in, I was greeted and waited no less than 10 minutes before starting on my hair. (How many times have you walked into a salon and NO ONE speaks, or you get to the salon and have to wait over an hour before they start on your hair.) The young lady who shampooed my hair was SUPERIOR!! I think her name is Stephanie. That was the best shampoo I ever had. Oh, and they have steamers as well. I love getting my hair steamed when the conditioner is in it. Stephanie used my products I brought in with no problem, and she blew my hair straight in no time. That was the best part of the experience. Ms. April was phenomenal! She was pleasant, professional, and warm. She was gentle, braiding my hair. The salon was immaculate and set up well. There was no loud talking, no loud TVs or music. The sound was a decent level where we didn't have to yell at one another when talking. THEY DO AND BELIEVE IN NATURAL HEALTHY HAIR! I've been natural for years, and doing my hair was no problem. Ms. April said most of her clients are natural. Oh, they have wine! How nice is it to sit back, relax and have a glass of wine when getting your hair done. Please check these ladies out if you're ready for a professional setting when getting your hair done. The other hairdresser who also had a client was scrolling through her phone the entire time. She made her client wait for long periods of time (over 20-30 minutes) while she crocheted her client's hair. 2 student hairstylist's were sitting around without instructional guidance. When the whole purpose is for them to continue learning with a hands on approach and added direction away from school campus. She comes to the privacy of my own home and stays as long as I need her to stay. I have since purchased two more human hair wigs and in the process of a fourth. I have stage 4 cancer so I will be on some form of treatment for the rest of my life. All of which cause hair loss. I'm so excited to have so many options for beautiful custom hair! We picked a rich brown, she applied the color, said she would be back in 15 minutes but returned 25 minutes later. By then, my hair was black. After rinsing and drying, it was so dark, I was upset. She took forever it seemed to do a trim of 1/2 inch, and I just wanted to get out of there. No, I did not complain to the owner or stylist, but I should have; I was just upset, and the stylist knew it. I just need to find someone I can trust and who is experienced. I ended up going home and finding a product online that would strip out color gently, and after 3 applications of this product, my hair looked medium brown again instead of black. So disappointed in this local salon; maybe they should monitor or mentor their new hires better. I had gone here before for a trim with a different stylist, and she did do a good job, but she is part-time and is hard to schedule with.

I have been going to Christina since I was 8 years and I could not trust or love her more. I will share this story and photos just to show her magical abilities and serious understanding of hair and hair treatments. I moved from Chicago to New York City a few years ago and was going on a last minute vacation for which I wanted to touch up my highlights. For reference I am a brunette and Christina has given me this beautiful balayage/ lighter pieces framing my face and I just needed to touch up these highlights. Let me reiterate... HIGHLIGHTS. Long story short I walked out of my nyc appointment fully blonde. Not one strand of brown hair left on my head. Like Britney spears blonde circa 2000. It was trash. I immediately flew home to Christina. Before even telling my family I was coming into town I made sure Christina was available. She worked her magic ...after laughing and getting over the horror that was my hair. But she completely transformed my hair back, which not only shows that she is good at her job but truly understands the process of the treatments and how to appropriately use which colors /treatments to obtain the best results. All in all, Christina is amazing and she will make your hair goals come true.
