So far, I have had 5 star service from the owner and staff of this dress boutique . My mom was thrilled at how helpful they were in accommodating her , as she is on oxygen and needed help finding the appropriate dresses in her size without too much difficulty. They also offered to do any alterations in making the dress the most comfortable fit for my sister's big day (they gave her a discounted price on that too ) ! They are always willing to order other sizes /colors you may want as well. I've been to many different clothing establishments in the past - they had the best customer service of them all . This is a wonderful and fascinating store to get formal wear items The people are so wonderful who are employed there and they go over and above to help you get the best dress or shoes or purse or other accessories. It's just a great place. I would go back there and I would recommend it to anyone they have an alterations person there who works very hard to satisfy the customers and she worked hard for me for a couple of hours at least and I have the most perfect dress for gala events that One could ask for the people are a lot of fun. I am giving this store one star simply because the store manager of this store is really rude and she give horrible customer service. I had my wedding on Sept 18 2015. I ordered my daughters dress from the store and I had no issues the young girl that I worked with was very accommodating and nice I am sorry I do not know her name. So I took my sister back the Saturday before my wedding because she could not find a dress. We found one but due to the time we had before the wedding we ordered a size 14 and the woman promised me the dress in 2 days. Well she did not call when the dress was in and we called her. We picked up the dress and we realized the dress was a size16/17 basically a 3x we called the store the day Of my wedding and she basically told us " honey that's what alterations are for" when she knew we did not have time to alter the dress that's WHY we ORDERED a SIZE 14!! She wanted us to bring the dress and pay for alterations when SHE ordered the wrong size !! All I have to say is I feel really sorry for her staff in there .she is ridiculous I will never shop there again!!! read more

Very poor experience. 900 dollars on a prom dress and it was not worth it. I have a small waist with large hips and a bit of belly so it was very hard for me to find a dress that actually fit me in the first place. Most of the dresses for bigger girls were no where near as pretty as the dresses for the skinny girls. When i finally did find a dress it was too big in the waist which i asked them to make it tighter. Also the top area was too big so they were supposed to sew bigger cups into the dress. And I did not like the see through part in the middle so i asked them to put material underneath. They were also going to add some mesh to the top of the leg slit and make the back tighter along with the waist. These alterations were $250 in total. When i went to go pick up my dress and try it on again, only the back was made tighter and the mesh was put in the slit (poorly done). The waist was still the same as before, they did not sew the cups into the dress instead had them off on the side to just put in the dress, and they did not put any material in the middle area so that it wasn't see through. So these $250 alterations were a waste of money When i was trying on the dress, none of the workers came to see or came to check on me and if anything was wrong with the dress still. The whole time every single employee was helping the one girl on the other side of the store. Overall, bad experience and do not recommend going here if you are shapely or bigger in size. read more

Barbie has the best, and most expensive, TTs, but Amherst also has a TT and it's here, in the mall. There's a reason why this place has terrible reviews. The staff here were not too nice to us. The dresses are absolutely extortionately expensive and I don't think we would buy stuff here even if the staff was amazing, but you definitely have some unusual people working here if the store is trying to make money. My friends had iffy experiences here - now I can see why. It's out of our price range anyway to be honest. They only score 2 because they do have some super beautiful dresses tho. read more

Very poor experience. Jimmy cannot be trusted. He pushed very very hard on purchasing the dress when we walked in to take a look. He did not give us sufficient time to think either. The dress was much larger than my size and he assured that it would be altered perfectly. When I went back to pick up the dress, not only was it very poorly altered but he said things like "this is how these dresses look / this is normal etc" When I insisted on fixing it, his seamstress understood (who is great by the way) and agreed to fix it. I went back on the agreed date (after calling the previous evening to confirm if the seamstress would be around and I was told she would be). When we visited, Jimmy said she wasn't around (despite confirming the previous evening). While a lot of the issues were fixed, the dress was still not as it should fit (probably because it was such a big size to begin with). And he again said things like it is because I have lost weight etc. Travelling 2 hours to this store again was not an option for us and so we picked it up as is. Jimmy is just someone who sweet talks when he wants to sell. But is not trustworthy at all. Very very disappointing experience. read more

I was pleasantly surprised when I went into TT New York for a cocktail dress for a work event. Originally thinking it was only a store for high school prom, I was pleasantly surprised. The store has relocated in the boulevard mall near H&M. It is big, bright and welcoming. All of the dresses are absolutely stunning and affordably priced. Spaced out throughout the store you don't feel overwhelmed or like you're "digging" through dresses. They had tons of options for work events. The black dress pictured is great quality with beautiful detail. I was quickly helped by the operations manager, Nicole and both staff employees. They were friendly, warm and welcoming and made the shopping experience fun. They had great suggestions and made me feel confident with my decision on this black mid calf dress. I received SO many compliments the night of the event. As the host, I felt confident and beautiful. I will be back to TT New York for EVERY event I have! read more

I went andbought a wedding dress, paid in full 8 months before I was to get married. I called in may thinking there was plenty of time to do alterations. They said we are in the middle of prom, call in June. I waited until the middle of June. My dress still was not ready. I made a big mistake paying for my dress in full. During the winter and during covid, no excuse for not having my dress done in at least 3 months. I paid by credit card, disputed it and got my money back! my daughter fell in love with a dress here, we purchased the dress that day. I asked at check out if it was returnable, I was told it was within 7-8 days of purchase. when we arrived home I was feeling very uncomfortable about the amount I paid for the dress so I went to at least 10 different online boutiques and found the EXACT same dress by designer and style number for HALF the price at every single one of them. took the dress back to the store and I was denied a refund. although the receipt states all sales final, I was told I had 7-8 to return it. bought it on Sunday, tried to return it on that Friday. the store manager was awful and would not even contact the owner of the store. I left my number because the manager said she was going to contact the designer, which had nothing to do it, their store was price gauging and ripping people off, I was not unhappy with the dress .the owner of this store contacted me later in the day, basically told me they had the right to charge whatever they wanted. they also claimed my daughters dress was one of a kind, which clearly is not if it's available at several other boutiques online. I was told they had an exclusive contract with the designer which is obviously untrue. Never again! I hope this prevents someone else from getting ripped off by this unscrupulous store. I was iffy about this place, but shopping for a prom dress I figured this might be the place to look. I was greeted by a lady who said she would have whatever I wanted. She kept showing me these dresses I told her I just didn't like and I tried one of them on, because she kept bombarding me to just try it on, just try it on. The dresses were outrageously priced. Then the "designer" comes along and introduces himself and tries to get me to peek my head out of the dressing room whilst I was changing. I said just one moment, and I finish up getting the dress on and the saleswoman feels the need to put her hands on me and make comments about my body I did not need to hear! We spent nearly $500 on a prom dress here. We were so excited about the dress. It took an extra two weeks for alterations (over a month total). We spent $150 on alterations. It was discussed to have the bottom hemmed as well. In the chaos of the busy day at TTNY that day, this was apparently missed and I did not see it on the receipt. The young girl working at the store the afternoon was awful about our situation and resulted in yelling at me, yelling at my daughter and causing a scene in front of other customers. She and the young man then began to be passive aggressive and rude. After spending $500 and waiting so long, one mixup, we asked for a discount or free alterations for the bottom and they refused. I would never recommend TTNY. The customer service is horrid and the employees are worse. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

If I could give this place negative five stars, I would. I had to rush to the area upon my Dad's passing, without proper clothing for his funeral. I found a pair of black pants, and brought them to this shop to be shortened. I picked them up the next day in the afternoon. Tried them on, and they were two inches shorter than what was measured, one leg was noticeably shorter than the other, and the stitching was absolutely visible. Not even pressed. Horrible and unwearable. And, the tags were missing, no less. Brought them in the next day, with an hour to get to Canada for my Dad's wake. The other seamstress was unsure if they could even be fixed, but said it would take her two hours to try. I didn't have two hours. I had to rush out and find new pants with ten minutes to go. I just left them there, not being able to deal with the double talk and absurd excuses that the guy working there was spouting. "They can be fixed, we just need time". "It was a rush job" etc etc. All to not refund my money. How about, "We are so sorry and embarrassed that we have put you through this. We stand by our work, and this is unacceptable. Please accept our profound apologies, and of course we will refund your money". No. The store refuses to refund the money for the pants. The owner, Jimmy Lee, said he would send them to me and I could return them, even though the tags are missing. How is it ethical for me to return pants that have been ruined by a bad alteration? These people added stress to one of the worst weeks of my life. They have no morals or ethics. They were supposed to be sent to me a few weeks ago, and I have not received them. When I call the owner Jimmy Lee pretends he's someone else, and puts me on the phone with a sales associate. Not even kidding! Then I am told that they were sent to "corporate" in NYC. There is no corporate in NYC. It's truly unbelievable. These people obviously are used to these situations judging by other reviews, and will lie without logic or shame. While I enjoy this store for simply what it is...I'm a girly girl who likes to have an occasion to get all dressed up for, this place has annoyed me for a variety of reasons. This is the third time I've purchased a gown from them. Positives, you can get one of a kind gowns for that special occasion. They have a lot to choose from and a staff that is all too eager to get you to buy. Negatives, this store is cramped and is jammed full of gowns with no where to turn around. I feel the gowns are overpriced. When I went, I was greeted by a flamboyant gentleman with a "hello gorgeous" (gag) and he proceeded to whisk me around pulling gowns off racks without even asking if I like them. He was on the hard press to sell a gown to me. I explained that I wasn't interesting in spending several hundred dollars on a gown for a gala I go to once a year (I have a closet full of them). He told me on more than one occasion to not be cheap and that I wasn't going to find any gowns like the ones he has. It was also during Martin Luther King day weekend, and he was trying to sell me a gown at 50% off as a special. I highly doubt that, even at 50% off, he is losing any money on these gowns. So that just goes to show how high mark up is. After the gentleman had the gown sold to me, all he kept saying was how mad at himself he was for giving me such a great deal. $300 dollar dress for $150. At first it was sort of cute and tolerable then it just got obnoxious. If you're going to "give me a deal" dont give me grief about it for the rest of the time I'm in the store. They didn't have the size for the gown I wanted and told me they could get it from another store and they'd call me when it came in (on monday). Monday came and went with no call. Tuesday came and I called and was told it wasn't there yet. I ran some errands that day anyway and called once more to see if maybe it was there so I didn't have to run back out (with 3 kids!). When I called again, she said "oh yeah it got here yesterday" ?????? All in all, I like their gowns. I obviously keep going back for more since I am an owner of three now! I just have a problem with how obnoxious they are to sell sell sell. They put the pressure on and its a bit over-bearing. read more

Shopped here multiple times and every time I've had a problem. I bought a homecoming dress from here a few years back and was having it altered. I came back the day they told me it should be ready(didn't tell me to call) and they couldn't find my dress. They ended up looking for probably 20 minutes and found it hidden somewhere and no alterations were done to it. Now my senior prom I walk into the store and was helped by a very nice lady but felt pressure by her and the designer Jimmy to buy a dress then and there. I ended up buying a dress and here I am 3 days before my prom still without my dress and keep getting told to "call back it'll be done on this day or definitely tomorrow" the past 2 weeks I have called to check on it.
