T Street is just a hop, skip and a jump away from my office, so when a colleague suggested lunch out at this new (to us) spot, we headed over to nosh. Nestled within the bustling streets of Belmar, parking can be a little tight. However, there are free lots near and street parking for a small fee. The space itself is sleek, modern and exudes an upscale vibe, one I wasn't expecting from the name alone. Seating is scattered throughout, leather booths with lamps, trendy furniture and cozy nooks for cocktails - the most fun vibe! We were greeted by a woman who brought us to a smallish table in the center of the dining area and our server approached shortly after. She welcomed us, brought us beverages (iced tea for me!) and was complimentary of our orders. When asked if the fries or chips were a better accompaniment to my meal, she said "people like both", which wasn't super helpful, as I was expecting a little more personal taste. She visited us a few times throughout our meal, giving the bill right away - which I found to be a little awkward and making us feel rushed. However, we took our time to enjoy our meals. The menu is huge, and the food is GOOD! I had a hard time narrowing down what I wanted to eat, but settled on the turkey sandwich, which was on the best bread and loaded with everything yummy! The description and picture online didn't match what I received, but it was delicious, nonetheless. My friend opted for a burger on a GF bun, which she seemed to enjoy in that moment. My one pet peeve is when servers don't write down orders - thinking they can remember all the details, despite having multiple tables - and my friend's order came out incorrect. Her fully gluten bun was on her burger and although she had requested a GF bun, we had waited about 30 min for our food and didn't realize until she took the first few bites. Sigh. Pricing is bit high, but inflation, the quality of ingredients and presentation make up for that. Tstreet Roadhouse is very Belmar, which means you can pretend you are having a city night out while remaining safely inside a suburban mall-entertainment zone with ample parking and no real threat of urban complexity. You can spend two hours pretending you are urban before returning to your SUV and driving home past a Target. I mean that with moderate affection. I met a friend here for dinner at the bar on a weeknight, and the place was already packed by 6:30. The bar was busy, the crowd lively, and everyone seemed to understand their role in the pre-fabricated ecosystem. Married couples, dates, groups of friends, male friends, female friends, TVs glowing with Colorado sports. It was suburban adulthood in all its glory. Belmar itself has always felt like manufactured walkability to me. A carefully assembled "downtown experience" where everything is clean and manageable from the inconvenience of actual city life. Tstreet fits perfectly into that world: corporate, slightly bland. Nothing too loud, too weird, too challenging, or too memorable. The room, like Belmar itself, exists mainly to not offend. The bartender was the best part of the evening. Full bro energy, but correctly utilized. Friendly, authentic, and attentive. He seemed to instantly read our own catch-up-over-drinks energy and adjusted accordingly. Frankly, that kind of service instinct is harder to find these days than a good short rib. The food was where the execution started to teeter. We happened to be there for Tapas Tuesday, and the menu read much better than the food we ate. The gyoza promised variety, but the fillings all seemed to be the same indistinguishable center. Lobster? Allegedly. The sauces had more personality, and one was even spicy, although that also appeared to be where all the salt was hiding. The short rib was tender and mild, which is a polite way of saying tender and mild. The farro had good texture and worked perfectly well at room temperature, but the promised vegetables felt more theoretical than observed. Food total: $47.00 Breakdown: Gyoza: $18.00 Short rib: $18.00 Farro: $11.00 Still, this is not a bad restaurant. That almost feels unfair to say. Tstreet succeeds at exactly what it is trying to be: an easy, socially functional suburban gathering place where nobody has to think too hard and everyone can find something to eat while discussing youth sports schedules, office politics, divorces, promotions, or Peloton-related emotional injuries. Friendly staff, easy parking, good place to meet a friend when the friend suggests it. But I would not drive from the city to Belmar specifically for the food. Then again, I seldom travel west of Sheridan Boulevard unless compelled by friendship, jury duty, or a GPS error. read more

We came here with a large group (we had reservations) and it was top notch from start to finish. They had water and plates preset on the table (right by the window, perfect for people and pup watching!) Our server was very efficient and took all of our orders quickly, and was communicative of when our food was coming. I used to be a server, and I was super impressed with how efficient our water was with taking orders for our big group during a busy evening. I went with a spicy sunset mocktail that was grapefruit soda, bitters, jalapeño, with a tajin rim. Very tasty. The table started with apps. Baked brie was tasty. My favorite was hands down the Brussel sprouts in the sweet chili sauce. Roasted to perfection, and that sauce isn't spicy or overly sweet and packs just the right amount of zing. For my main, I did the grilled shrimp bowl with zucchini linguini. Love a zucchini noodle. This dish had plump, perfectly seasoned shrimp, vegetables, and a lemongrass coconut broth I savored until the last drop. The restaurant was a tad loud but otherwise everything was a win from start to finish. Great staff, phenomenal food, and lovely location. If you're in Belmar, consider stopping in! read more

The restaurant was bustling with family gatherings and the space was sparkling. It's a relaxing and warm decor with comfortable seating and nice lighting. The service was good and the food fantastic. This restaurant doesn't know what it wants to be. It's an upscale roadhouse? The noise level is very high. The food was...fine. My husband had a flatbread that was a good portion. I had a cheeseburger that was burnt and fries that were cold. My daughter was so excited to see grilled chicken on the kids menu but what they brought her was blackened chicken. I would also recommend they put their water bottles they bring to the table in a fridge. I don't think anyone wants room temperature water? I asked for ice and our server brought me a large glass of ice so that was nice. Overall I spent $70 on a lunch that wasn't memorable. It was fine. read more

The prime rib sandwich was a bit dry & the au jus overly salty, but was still delicious; the baked brie appetizer was indulgent, smothered with a nice warmly spiced plum-apple chutney; and the star of the show was their turkey sando. Belmar was packed on a Sunday afternoon as was this restaurant. It's a great place to meet up with friends. Service was good but could be more attentive, as we had to ask for a cleaner water glass - the first one still had a previous customer's lipstick on it. In the description, it stated there was an aoli on the omelet, and I am not sure if someone forgot or if it was in the egg itself, but it was not something I could finish. Came here with some girlfriends after a yoga class nearby for a Sunday afternoon brunch - loved it! We sat outside, a cute area with lots of shade. The brussel sprouts, amazing. Perfectly crispy, seasoned and with a sweet sticky glaze that paired so well. I blinked and they were gone. The baked Brie was to die for, it's baked with a sweet topping as well and comes with warm soft flatbread that pairs so perfectly. Even the poke nachos were a delicious surprise. The wonton chips were thin and crispy, so different from a standard nacho chips and the fish was fresh, drizzled with sauces and lots of fresh toppings. The salads were also so yummy, i tried the pear salad but with the green goddess dressing, so good! The feta was a great idea in that. I was not blown away by the "flatbread" - not sure why they call it that because it's not a flatbread it's just a standard pizza and it really was nothing to write home about. My husband had a Buddha burger & tried to use GF flatbread for a bun...didn't work! My husband's fries were not very warm! The prices are a little high for what you get. We went in for a burger after not visiting for a while. Good news: no wait! Service was pretty good, too. Not so good: our table was quite close to the folks behind me, and the table was also not level - there was a significant pitch. It worked, just odd no one used a shim or anything to level it. The vases on each of the tables were in dire need of new water to replace the cloudy liquid. Some of the flowers looked a little sad as well. Also, my burger was burnt - we've come in before and ordered well done burgers (maybe I'm old school but that's how I like 'em!) that were still juicy and flavorful. These ones were dry and burnt. The kale side was OK, though it had some brown kale and some quite large stem pieces. Overall, I don't know if we'll be back any time soon but it's an OK option. read more

Tstreet is our "neighborhood hangout" we have been going here and taking friends and family for YEARS. Today we went to happy hour at 2:30 with a client. Not only was the service extraordinarily slow (there were literally 5 people in the restaurant), but the fire alarm blared and blinked for the first 30-40 minutes we were there. We should have just left, but we gave the manager the opportunity to take a drink or appetizer off of our bill for the obnoxious alarm inconvenience, he didn't which just added to the fact that the service sucked. There is more competition in Lakewood, do better Tstreet. Not sure if we will be back for a while. *2 stars because the food is good. read more
