Amazing dinner!!
Michael H.

I just finished an evening at TSpoons learning how to cook a French dinner and it was absolutely delightful!! The organization and instruction are exceptional and everyone is there to learn, enjoy and have fun. I recommend TSpoons highly and can't wait to return for my next class in six weeks when we focus on New Orleans cooking!!

Best chef, yes chef ‍

Why have I waited so long to come here?! This place definitely beats all the other cooking classes I have been to. I do have to admit I had the most amazing chef, so that helps ;) I took my son and we both loved the whole thing start to finish. Added note, that you can bring your own bottle of wine or they have a small selection for purchase on site. They book up quick, pro tip- sign up for their email and you will get the cooking class schedule in advance for quick resy's before it goes live on their site ;)

This is an amazing date night experience. We did a double date with another couple and learned how to make a wonderful 3 course meal plus focaccia. We started by making a delicious lentil soup with andouille sausage. Then we worked on focaccia bread that was terrific. Next we cooked polenta and the roasted root vegetables. Then, we stuffed a pork loin with a reduced apple mixture and tied it up and coated it with a tasty garlic, mustard and apricot mixture before sticking it into the oven. The chefs took us patiently through each step and gave us some practical cooking advice too. Lastly, we had a lemon tart with meringue -- and yes we got to torch the meringue. Overall, it was a fun night and great food.

For someone who is terrible at cooking, this place gave me a glimmer of hope. Who would have thought I could turn into Emeril Lagasse for the night? Who would have thought I could make something that is actually edible? Thanks to this place, I now know. My mom and I came here for the Greek cooking class, and it was absolutely wonderful. Our chefs were very knowledgeable and helpful; they assisted our group with all of our cooking needs. The best part was obviously the food. Everything we prepared was delicious. I will go as far to say that it was the best Greek food I've ever had. I highly recommend scheduling a class, but make sure to schedule in advance because they fill up rather quickly. Also, if you have dietary restrictions, they are happy to accommodate.

Came here yesterday for work employee appreciation day and we all had a blast. There were about 10 of us that attended and we were split into 3 groups. Being that it was a private event we were able to choose what main entree, soup, salad, side, and dessert we wanted. All our choices turned out delicious! Best part is they give you the recipe after. It's a cooking class, but everything is pre-measured and pre-cut, I'm sure to cut time. You only get 3 hours which includes time for eating. I've never experienced a cooking class before but after yesterday, I'd do it again! Chef Dominique and chef George will walk around and make sure everything is going well and to answer any questions. Great work event or date night! Definitely worth checking out!

Tspoons - team building event.

BEST team building event EVER! I have been to Tspoons on numerous occasions for personal entertainment. It came to pass that I was tasked with setting up a teambuilding event for our office. Naturally, because I think this venue is positively amazing, I worked with them to set something up. They did not disappoint!! From beginning to end, they provided excellent information, service and support, for our group. Menu options were abundant and we had a really hard time choosing. The day of our event, they welcomed us with open arms, and I believe were genuinely happy to have us there. They are incredibly organized and had everything ready and waiting for us. I cannot say enough about the staff. Chef Emma and Chef Michaeline, along with the young lad, Mark, that was tasked with cleaning up our stations and all of our dirty dishes, were positively amazing, fun and definitely know what they're doing. They truly took amazing care of us. Their kindness and sense of humor only added to the experience. If you've never been to Tspoons, I suggest you go - don't walk...run !! I dare say you will not be disappointed. I would also suggest anyone that can, to have a teambuilding event there it truly was worth it. We will be back again - I promise!! THANK YOU!!

We did the baking class with Chef Mike & Chef Jeff and it was really fun. We made: raspberry eclairs, lemon cream tarts, flourless chocolate cake and rosemary focaccia. Everything turned out delicious and we learned some new baking skills. After making everything you have the option to enjoy the sweets there or they can also pack it home for you. Chef Mike was very entertaining and really made sure everyone was involved and having a great time! Overall it was a great baking experience and I highly recommend this class to others who want to enjoy a fun time in making a variety of baked goods. It's located in downtown San Juan Capistrano right next to FKN Bread. Public parking lot nearby for $2/hr.

I had a great experience at Tspoons! The staff were so kind and funny, making the night one to remember Our food was so delicious and we learned so much. The evening was set up so intentionally and the portions were pre-set so it made for easy preparation and cooking throughout the night Our group was very social and we had a great time getting to know everyone I highly recommend booking a class here for any occasion!

All of the fun treats we made! Raspberry eclairs, lemon meringue tarts, flourless chocolate cake, and focaccia!

5 stars for the pastry basics class my husband and I attended today! Chef Mike & Chef Jeff were wonderful. Chef Mike had a great sense of humor and taught us to have fun and not take everything so seriously (as a home cook that measures everything, he was trying to help me lighten up a little, and eyeball some measurements, which was appreciated) The chefs made what seemed like intimidating pastries seem very doable, and everything turned out beautiful. Both Chef Mike & Chef Jeff helped us out the entire class and offered other methods while we were making our baked treats - learned a lot of good tips to bring home to My own kitchen. We also had a great time with our table-mates - we were paired with another great couple and we had a blast taking turns making different things and shared many laughs as we were making our way thru the recipes. This was our first TSpoons class, and it definitely won't be the last! Can't wait to come back. Thanks for a fun, different kind of date afternoon!

As a Christmas gift. We would like to take our 9 year old to a cooking class. She is mature and cooks at home. Would she like this?

Even after the 1st day my meals at home were suddenly consistent and significantly better. 12 weeks later and I am confidently relaxed in my kitchen. I enjoy the ease that I feel now; from preparing dinner, menu planning, temp control, and little tips you just can't learn on google. Learning in person from Chef Jason and Chef Ben with a group of funny, eager, and caring adults has really shaped how I can give back to my family. This was the common denominator for all the students in our course. We wanted to learn a new skill to share with the ones we care about most, our families. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The class covered all the bases of what you could learn in a beginners cooking class. From potion, to fish, to veggies, to knifes skills it is a good balance. The pace was not too fast but not too slow. We would learn about a subject, watch the chef cook it and then do it ourselves. I really liked my chef instructor explained things thoroughly but not overly controlling. One of the best parts is you got to take your a recipe sheet home with everything you learned that day and the food that you made, my husband and my kids always loved that. Over all it was a great experience and I will be back for more classes!

It was very obvious that Chef Alex had conducted multiple corporate team building events as well as being a skilled/seasoned chef. We had 22 people for our team building event and there was plenty of space for us to each have our own cooking stations (teams of two) and there was ample seating for all of us to enjoy the fruits of our labors after the cooking was completed. We prepared thai food for our event and, WOW, was it amazing. I mean (literally), this was the best thai food that I'd ever had and this is coming from someone who's wife says "you eat way too much thai food!" The very tasty food is a testament to how well run this place is because we are just a bunch of accountants but we also apparently have an inner self that knows how to cook thai food. Overall, this place is clean, fun, there is ample parking and I would highly recommend. If this place wasn't so far from me, I'd definitely go back on a date night with my wife.

Chef Alex was absolutely amazing. He was incredibly accommodating, especially with our very last-minute booking request (less than a week's notice). Throughout the entire event, he was patient, kind, and engaging with the boys. He took the time to guide them at each cooking station, clearly explaining what to do and then letting them take over and experience it hands-on. He created a really fun, relaxed environment where the kids felt confident and involved. We all trusted the process, and the food turned out fantastic--but even more than that, the boys had a blast doing it. It was the perfect mix of learning, teamwork, and fun. I would highly recommend this experience for any team-building event, youth sports team, or even private parties like birthdays. It's interactive, memorable, and really well-run. After cooking a casserole in the oven, the bottom of the pan cracked in a large circle visible on the inside and outside of the pan. I took the pan to the Newport Beach store where I was informed by the collective of 3 Sur la Table employees at the register that Sur La Table only has a 30 day return policy. I'm not returning this item because I'm unsatisfied with it, (it's a great pan). This falls into the Sur la Table Lifetime Warranty classification whereas this product is defective and should last YEARS...not 18 months. I have cheap Pyrex dishes that are 20 years old and have never cracked. Of all products sold at Sur La Table, I would think they would stand behind their warranty for a white labeled product, especially if defective. Since their store clerks cannot distinguish between the 30-day return policy and a lifetime warranty issue, I raised this issue one last time with their customer service department to see if they would make the effort to accommodate a loyal customer. Needless to say...the response was the same from their online customer service team. I'm DONE with Sur la table! If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Worst experience EVER and will now purchase kitchen and household items from Williams Sonoma and Pottery Barn only!
