At my first appointment he described himself as being a medical 'quarterback'. Not being a sports person, I'm not sure what he meant by it but I found him to be more of a middle manager. He'll take your vitals, order & review blood tests, prescribe some basic meds, but otherwise refers everything out. You don't even have to take off your clothes for any appointments - though this can be a plus if it's what you're looking for. My main issue is that he does not perform annual women's wellness exams. He will refer you to a Gyn. My prior doctor of 15 years & new doctor both regularly perform your annual women's wellness exam especially if pregnancy is not an issue unless you specifically request otherwise or have your own Gyn. For basic annual exams there's no real need for a specialist. My question is does he perform prostate exams on men & or is it just women's wellness he's not comfortable with? Because trust me, I don't like that exam very much either but it's a health necessity. If you're a women he may not be the right fit. He was very thorough in ordering lab test before your visit & taking vitals and reviewing them in great detail but he did not really leave time for addressing patient questions and concerns. By the time I got home I always felt that I didn't have a chance to discuss my concerns or he was dismissive of them. I always come in with a notepad to keep track of my doctor's comments & my questions. I did have one concern that I did a Telehealth appointment. He suggested I come in for a physical exam, which I did, but he never performed the physical exam. I was too embarrassed to ask. I came to Dr. Wallis when my primary care doctor of 15 years moved her practice too far. He came highly recommended. I was contemplating another doctor but chose Dr. Wallis on their recommendation. His concierge service was not feasible so I moved to another doctor who is a good fit.

She took the time to listen to every single concern, never rushed me, and made sure I felt understood. She went above and beyond by ordering tests to make sure I was truly okay, giving me a level of reassurance I really needed. What truly amazed me is that she even searched for medications my insurance would cover to save me money--who does that anymore?! That level of care and consideration is rare. And the kindness didn't stop there--the nurse (I didn't catch her name, but I loved hearing she's an owl fan!) was so warm, friendly, and attentive, which made such a difference when I was feeling so anxious. You can feel the genuine compassion and heart from everyone in this office. I honestly feel so lucky to have found Dr. Craemer--she turned what could have been a stressful experience into one where I felt safe and supported. Absolute gem.

Parking here...is bad. The small lot in the back of the building has about 23 legit marked parking…read morespaces, and 1 disabled space. I counted 6 vehicles parked along the driveway in unmarked spaces. All 30 spaces (minus 1 that was blocked off) were filled. Despite my waiting in the lot and circling the block, no street or parking lot spaces became available. I waited and circled for 23 minutes for an appt at 1015am. At 1023a I called the tel# listed on the Yelp page and waited on hold for 8 minutes then accepted the auto return callback offer and at 15 minutes the call arrived. I explained I had an appt, but couldn't find parking so I went on with my day. Turns out, the return caller was from the call center, not the office so despite my offering feedback for the unsatisfactory parking situation, I was asked to share it with a suggestion/complaint telephone number. The rep offered to reschedule the appt for the next day...or May...or the location in Venice. I asked if parking would be available (rhetorical question). I declined her offer and explained I'd make other arrangements. This was a despicable experience and I only needed something simple, I can't even imagine what folks do if their needs are more urgent or critical. I'm unclear if there are better times where the parking lot is less busy. This is my 2nd experience at this location and twice now, I struck out on parking and missed both appts. There won't be a third time.
