Been here 3x and food, service, ambiance has always been good. Items ordered: - Chaat momo - Butter chicken momo - Sandeko momo We enjoyed all three! The sandeko is harder to come by at other momo spots so I like to order that one usually. Also their outdoor patio is great!

Jhol Momo - Cold and too spicy

My Nepali friend was craving for momo's so we came down the west end to hunt for Nepali food. Himalayan Kitchen was closed so we decided to give this place a try. I wanted something warm/soupy so my Nepali friend recommended I get the Jhol momo. It turned out not to be the traditional jhol momo (dumplings in soup), but just some momo's with this thick curry sauce on top. It was very disappointing since the sauce was cold on some parts and even the momo inside looked like it was not fully cooked. I couldn't finish it. On top, nowhere on the menu did it indicate that this dish was spicy. Although I like spicy food, it was just a tad too much. I can only imagine how this could catch someone else who doesn't eat spicy at all off guard. We had some chilli fries and the pork choyla, which is okay but everything just tasted like plain spicy food and kind of ruined my palette. When my friend spoke to the waitress/owner at the front cash that it was spicy at the end of meal, she was defensive saying that we're the first that has mentioned it. Perhaps it's just me but my Nepali friend ordered the thali and said it was okay but overall didn't like the food that much either. Anyways I would not return. I've been to a few Nepali places and they were always so warm and friendly and this place didn't give that vibe. The dishes we've ordered seem not fresh but frozen and reheated. I've had better, skip this and try something else.

Came here after checking out cherry blossoms at high park on a friday night. Was able to get a table for 8 right away. We ordered beef momo fried, beef momo pan fried, chicken momo steamed, chicken chowmein, mixed chowmein, chilli beef dry, chilli chicken wet, and curry chicken with putti bread. The best items were the momos with the fried beef momo being my favorite. The fried momos had a nice golden colour, good size, and tasty filling. The other non momo dishes had good flavours but portion size was a bit small and the meats were more dry than In like. Prices were good at this location; wouldn't mind coming back for more momos and trying other dishes.

It was my first time trying out Tibetan food and I definitely was not disappointed. It was a small family run restaurant so staff was a tad short (two servers) We waited around 30 minutes after for our food to arrive but it worth the wait. The food was filled with flavour and super tasty. I'd definitely would come here again !

Authentic and consistent. We have been going to this restaurant for over two years and never been disappointed. Highly recommended.

My experience here has been phenomenal so it's weird seeing bad reviews. I think just like every restaurant they have things that they excel at but none the less they do a great job with everything. Most of the food is pretty fresh. Being in Toronto for a whole week, my friend and I (both Tibetan and from Boston) came here multiple times. I don't eat meat but my friend does so we had a variety of dishes. This place is pretty well known for their sha-bhaley- it is crispy and filled with flavor. Also, the phing-sha is awesome according to my friend. It has the perfect amount of sauce to dip your tingmo in and the meat is cooked to perfection. For me I really enjoyed their aloo momo, veggie thali, and veggie chow mein. And their patio outside is so cute in the warm weather. Enjoy!

Lamb momos were a 10/10, although I still prefer them steamed. Veg feature momos had great texture but my friend and I found them to be very strong in cumin flavor without really tasting like anything else. Dousing it in hot sauce and soy sauce helped but it would've been nice if it had more of its own flavor. 6/10, probably wouldn't order again but they got me pretty full considering its fiber content. Lamb still remains my favorite, my friend who tried these for the first time also seemed to agree. They were perfectly spiced & very juicy. Mango lassi is still mandatory! They get busy SO quickly and their small team of 2-3 employees do such an amazing job at delegating and getting everyone's food out at a reasonable time. Today we saw an even more diverse demographic so Loga's is THE spot for authentic nepalese momos!

Momos are juicy and their deep fried momos are so tasty! You can grab sauces (spicy mayo I think and soy sauce) and condiments (spicy radish?) from the counter or they bring it out to you. The owners were SO nice and offered customers ice cream and water during the heat wave :')

Mixed feelings about their momos. (Pan fried beef momos & steamed chicken momos)…read moreHave to tell you first, I only had momos for take-out. So my review is quite limited... Loved the wrapper's texture and favour. Not too thin, not too thick. Hand pleated. Nice pure wheat-y flavour. No machine made tastelessness nonsense, which I really appreciated! But the fillings were under-seasoned, felt dry and bland to me. And many of the momos came with their wrappers torn - which may explain their dryness. When waiting for my order, I enjoyed its atmosphere - the unassuming outlook and hippy-way interior, very Kensinton-like place! May be better suited for eat-in, to feel the total ambience to boost my food experience.

Our server was excellent giving us an overview of their signature dishes such as Thenthuk (Tibetan noodle soup) and Tingmo (steamed bread) and these two items go perfectly together...loved it! We also had their Cajun-chilli beef Momo (dumplings) which was delicious. I enjoyed almost all the dishes but I wasn't a huge fan of their steamed chicken Momo as the skin was a bit thick and the meat was a bit dry in the dumpling...probably better if it was deep fried. And I must mention their Chili Chicken was a bomb. And the prices were very reasonable ranging from $13 to $15 per dish. For the four of us, the total bill was $82 including taxes for 4 main dishes, an appetizer and 2 smoothies. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and we'll definitely be back!

Food 4/5 Service 4/5…read moreAmbiance 4/6 Food: We ordered the meat platter, salmon momo half plate, & sho-go momo. For dessert we had the deep fried banana. Everything was delicious & freshly made. We really liked the sho-go momo (potato & onion). The deep fried banana is good too. Not too much batter which I liked a lot. I would definitely eat here again. Service: It's a little slow because there are only two people running the restaurant when we visited. They both were doing the cooking & serving. Hubby & I didn't mind because we weren't in a hurry. I think they should have some waitstaff to help them out. Ambiance: It's a clean restaurant. There are prayer flags strung up from the ceiling. The music they play sounded like monks chanting. It's a very relaxed vibe. On a hot summer day it was nice, breezy & cool inside. It felt nice at first but I started getting cold after a while. Their bathrooms are in the basement & we're also clean. The ceilings are a little low in the basement so you have to watch your head. All in all it was an enjoyable lunch. My favourite was the sho-go momos (potato & onion).

Well today I finally decided to make good on that promise and while I was not blown away it was a positive experience overall. The first thing I noticed about the menu was how many momo options were available. A lot of different choices from your basic chicken/beef/pork to butter chicken momos so lots of options. I ended up just getting a half plate of steamed pork momos along with the chilli chicken. The momos were pretty average in terms of taste even when I used the sauces provided. Perhaps the fried version would have been better but I definitely was underwhelmed with this one. As for the chilli chicken, the flavour was decent and for those who love saucy dishes like me this one is not saucy at all. I asked for a 5-6 on a scale of 10 for spiciness and it definitely had a bit of a kick but nothing too spicy. In terms of taste it was decent however I found the chicken to be a bit on the dry side but not too bad. The folks there were super friendly and overall service was not bad. The food arrived quickly too which was a good thing as I was hungry. There was plenty of seating in the restaurant and it was spaced out nicely so it was comfortable to be in. There were a lot of cabinets with different items in them so it might be interesting to look around while you wait for your food. Overall, I enjoyed the visit and will definitely come back to try other items on the menu.
